I've wanted to knit a cardigan for a while but my tension is so different with knits and purls that I have put off doing it. I love the idea of steeking it just not sure I have the courage. 😂 And Paige hopefully one day you'll tell us all the places you've been when you get back. Enjoy!

That colourwork yoke is divine! The colours work beautifully together. I've done a few tests for Laine publications and I think that Laine doesn't let the designer give you the final proof of the pattern, but with the ones I did we did get a discount code to purchase the publication. I think Laine has exclusive rights to distribute the pattern for a certain period of time, and then the designer gets the rights to distribute the pattern later (from memory it was after 18 months).

I absolutely live for these catch ups. it feels like we all just get to watch two best friends update each other on their wips - in the best way! this podcast has always felt that way but especially while yall are apart! the kika test knit is stunning!! also I can not relate to hating italian bind off, I think I hated it when I was learning it but now I look forward to binding off, one because it means the ribbing is over and two because I find it so meditative and love to put on a show and just let it flow knit on purl off, purl off knit on 💗

@Sarah: I'm not sure if I'm more amazed by your color choice or your math skill with the mohair! Another "beanie unit" moment for me 😂. And definitely the fingering option for your Sezane dupe. For some reason it feels more luxurious and polished, whereas the thicker version would feel a bit more casual.

I am new to the game and have a question , let’s say a pattern requires 6 balls of merino . But I want to combine it with mohair . So do I reduce the number of merino ?

I think your Agnete cardi will be fine Sarah, I’ve recently made one in drops flora+kid silk - based on recommended amounts I bought 400g of flora and 175g of kid silk and I think I had nearly 100g of flora left over and 30g of kid silk left over - I did go up to a 4mm needle, so it may be a bit more airy, but it’s definitely not cropped. So overall I think I only used 1200m not 1400.

Sarah - I'm trying to knit the Double Felted Slippers but can't seem to figure out how to Cast On when splitting for the 2nd "foot" section without getting a hole in the "crotch" of the slipper! Do you have any advice? I watched the Knitting Traditions video where she translated the pattern, but she didn't mention it. Thank you!

Sarah you can try measuring out a few meters (say 10) and weight it and compare to the total weight of the skein to better confirm the total length. Hope that makes sense.
