Try a "Paddock Paradise" for your horses & mules, if you have enough space, which seems that you do. You get movement, but then leave area for grazing area in center area. Could still use rotational grazing for the off track area. The track system would become your dry lot & would also include movement for horses. Good for their hooves & conditioning. Google 'Jamie Jackson Paddock Paradise'. I have a playlist for the topic with many examples. I only have 1 acre for 2 pony sized horses. Sigh!

Since you folks hunt & travel in the mountains on your lovely mules, I have a question? Have you ever run into a moose or a bear while riding your mules? I recently, a year ago, made the jump from a horse to a great little (14.1) molly mule for trail riding. I live in extreme upstate NY & we have moose & bear. She is fine with standard wildlife, just wondering if you folks had any insight. Picked up your channel about 6 months ago, & really enjoy your videos & all the good mule info. Thanks!
