I kno that PPD i shot myself close range with steel ball straight in hand forgot it was loaded smh🤦🏾♂ and it didn't hurt just small bruise and feel like a bee sting ! You can catch those balls in ya hand , Pause 😂 Seriously
According to the pan they don’t do much more damage than a nylon ball. I could only guess they might start to really hurt at about 20j being they have a smaller surface area or just plain right in the face.

Springs and i have also drilled out the valve.
would lubing the "balls" have an impact on the velocity or would it just cause drag and slow it down? also does the rifling get damaged with prolong use of the steel balls?
Lubing the balls lightly may help some. I oil the asa every tank so that oil does make its way down the barrel. These tuning run barrels from HD24 are smoothbore steel, no rifling, so no damage.
Whoa. I missed that the first 5 times I watched this. That's an FSC back cap? So you were able to use that to get rid of that big cork that comes in it? In your teardown video on the S2, you said the cap is a M20*1.0? How did you get an FSC cap to fit?
It fits on the internal cast valve but it won’t fit back in the case halves. I had to cut too much of the shell and ended up loosing the two rearward screws making it very hokey pokey.
@@lesslethalfordummies Nevertheless, it seems that you were able to prove mere volume isn't the answer. We were about to make a m20*1 plug that would seat in flush. Doesn't look like that's going to be the 30-35j magic wand.
@@user-do9kj8nx8wShort Fsc firing pin from ZRam has been the single biggest improvement. I am in the midst of redoing it in my other S2. Can have all the air you want but if it cant get it out, it is pointless. The factory S2 pin is about the same size as a Umarex 50cal pin.
Most air powered fps goes down. This one fps geta high and higher lol
There is quite a large volume to fill when they are double deleted but i think my barrel spring is acting up.

Negative. I don’t think steel balls are less lethal to begin with. 🙂
The HDR50 definitely looks a lot better as a carbine type setup running HPA. That’s the only way I would run one but at that point I’d rather set up an FSC the same or even better may as well go to a M17/CQMF or a VKS.

I have not. These are the heaviest balls i have tried.
i think your stock tube has to much volume, cuz i get a 25 joule increase give or take from mine in all guns except the hdb68, and the numbers are pretty consistent, even in stock forms im getting huge gains, you would get same numbers if you had the killhouse stock, i backfilled the 5 inch hole and its the same as my first one, im gonna test today to see if there are any difs ill let you know :)

Man,I don’t know how you are getting those numbers that’s awesome.
This is why I don't use ballbearings for ammo, too dangerous and it gives law enforcement, the DA, and the judge a real reason to say you were using deadly force when you used your launcher.
If using your launcher as less lethal absolutely yes..
I think the HDR50 demonstrated in the video is an excellent candidate for home defense, and only home defense. Any nation that has a form of the castle doctrine or a stand-your-ground type of law usually doesn't worry too much about the power of the weapon used, so long as the home owner/resident uses it in a lawful manner. can you make Umarex t4e tp50 compact .50 more leathal ? Like make some modifications to give it more power so when you shoot rubber-metal balls you can stop intruder? It have like 11 joule and use 8gm co2 standart . But can you make it to have double of more joule?
Not without making it less compact. Mine is currently out of order because the ball detent/seal has failed and no one makes a better one yet.

A friend of mine got his sister's hand me down Honda scooteraround 1995. We were 14 at the time. We'd mess with it every day after school to get that extra 0.0026hp out of it. We stripped every single milligram of weight off it as well. And every time we did, it felt like a massive accomplishment. This looks like the same sort of thing, probably futile, but fun.

Two things really remain. Waiting on the TechT Superbolt and i decided to try a longer unshimmed spring. Nothing against the ball bearings inside but the proper spring might just work better.
