    Great video and test as always Sean. Strange that we dont get the same velocitys now that everything is equal🤔. Iam glad you like the slugs. Take care my friend. Cheers from Norway (the land of the thin air😁).

      @@runerebel8441i never checked but it was very warm in the garage. My drums are brand new maybe they were a little tight?

      @@lesslethalfordummies That might be the issue. The cylinders on mine is quite worn in the chambers. Not like they where when new. You can try and put some lube on the slugs before loading them in the cylinder. Maybe it will help 🤔

    I think I know what the issue is... I have OCD and your push button is facing backwards. Take that thing off and turn it the other way! Hey just a friendly joke but really PLEASE! I watch all your videos more than once and I wanna throw my phone 😮😅😂😂. 🤟😎👍💥 You're still the man Sean!!!

    • @lesslethalfordummies
      @lesslethalfordummies  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You are correct to see that and trust when i say i am fully aware and it bugs me.
      Due to varying lengths of co2 depending on the chosen brand of the week, the punch button can end up backwards. 😵‍💫

    • @FLAlesslethal
      @FLAlesslethal 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yeah it's hard to get off once it's on as well. I just put it on lightly and kept snugging it up a notch over until it always lines up right Everytime. I love it though no tool. 🤟😎👍 I found out that it wasn't the 12.7mm that busted the big green ring it was me tightening the pushbutton too tight I think. I just tighten it where my CO2 rattles just a tad when I shake the handle.

    Is the barrel of your HDR50 riffled (I think that's the right term) so the slugs get a better spin?
    I looked into the kevlar cloth here in the US and the best I could find was $25 a foot which is very expensive when you need at least 40 inches of cloth to make two drop cloths for the trap lol.
    I hope I didn't annoy you with my thoughts on the Doom darts you reviewed 🥺

    • @lesslethalfordummies
      @lesslethalfordummies  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Nah comments are always welcome. Everyone sees things from a different perspective and thats okay 👍🏼.
      This tuning barrel is a smooth bore. I am not aware of any commercially available rifled 50cal barrels.
      My first fabric was kevlar I bought from eBay in the USA and it was around $25 a yard. After conversion, shipping, import and taxes this nylon is much cheaper.

    The police use 50-60J rubber ball launchers. These will stop the most serious threats even with a torso hit. So, paying for all these upgrades and getting some 20J of energy out of it is a waste of money and a "false-hope" defense tool.
    Anything under 35J is just a (very serious) toy (I'm not talking about the headshots, which are super hard in high-stress situations).
    BTW, if we have to shoot in the freezing cold, those numbers will even go down significantly!

    • @lesslethalfordummies
      @lesslethalfordummies  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Oh i am well aware. I am not selling anything here. Decisions as to what are best is up to you guys. I have plenty of other more powerful launchers.

    I wonder how long you can set your gun aside, can store it for 10 years or more after it was shot like 30 times so far for testing with oil apply on c02 and i have silicone blaster spray i used on my hdp 50 to lube it because after 4 months or so trigger start sticking some, if i decide to store it for a back up would i have to use silicone spray and will it seep in to seal internally without shooting?

    Rune uses more silicon spray. The hd24 barrel comes w/ a stiffer spring right?

    I'd imagine the baffles could definitely have an effect as there's less space for air to escape towards. Maybe temperature related on top of that?
    Put a thermometer on the corner of your workbench, facing towards the camera so that we'll always know what's going on!
    Nice testing, once again! Thank you for showing us 🙏 Looking forwards for the .43👍
    E: When I was still using a restrictor in mine, it was also gunking up until I started wiping the thread of the puncture cap. The anodizing seems to wear off and some of it might get inside.
    PS. Nice slugs, nordic quality 🤩

    • @lesslethalfordummies
      @lesslethalfordummies  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      My thoughts exactly regarding the baffles.
      I have been meaning to get a thermometer. It just always eludes me.
      Wiping the actual puncture cap threads eh? I remember someone mention the ano or powdercoat coming off and plugging up their restrictor.

    ugh !!!!!!!!!!!!!! sssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo , i checked rune's exact copy of this video , he has a 11 joules version , everything same as your right , here is where i see a couple of things , most important , he is more like me in where he uses a lot of silicone oil which always increases fps , and number two , it is 75 degrees in his house at the time of testing , how cold is it in your garage ? . there are many variables ,i have tested 3 hdp's with same exact equipment and had a difference from lets say , 38, 41 and almost 43 joules , it could be the factory made it looser or tighter ? . strange . if i had both of yalls marker , i would test and compare the two ,weighing and measuring stuff ! .i have just asked him to join you and i in trying to figure this phuckin chit out lol !!!! 0h by the way 12.7mm steel balls weigh 8.54 not 8.39 like the 12.6ish steel balls right , i use the smaller balls in my tuning barrels ,the 12.7 are a bit too big ! .so my next ptoject is to try to mod my mercury rise torpedo revolver with umarex tr-50 parts ? do you have one yet , i am getting right at 14.59 joules shooting 12.65 mm steel balls . i still have several hundred 12.7 mm , i will try them next sunce the barrel is factory !.
    this is very impressive for being bone stock , double of the um. tr50 ! .
    i like the idea of longer cylinder , i told umarex almost 3 yrs ago to do that and call it the magnum version , they didnt listen , thankful mercury rise was reading my comments lol . its not the first time another company takes my ideas to production . torpedoes come from me also , made them out out thin plastic from milk jugs used the tapered end of empty 12 gram co2 to form them . then you use wooden dowel or something with perfect .68 cal shape to form the round end ,then glue together , i must admit ,the mercury rise ones looks better lol . i have asked also mercury rise to come out with a .68 revolver with extended cylinder also months ago , lets see if they do it ! .
    longer ammo fly better bro ,it just does !!! .
    i used the same technique to make some cool arrows also .....
    i have some really cool ammo ideas to come out , I just wish i had the money for patents , or at least a cool company to work with me !!!!
    come on man ,brother , lets work with rune to solve this equation !!! !!!

      Me and Rune already figured it out. The air is thinner in Norway 😆
      My scale and many others weigh 12.7mm steel balls at 8.35g and round to 8.4g. Not saying you are wrong but your scale could be off, different mfg tolerances…again lots of variables. I only test as my equipment measures and i trust it. As a matter of fact i just received new 43cal balls today that are graded differently as g10 and weigh more than my previous low grade chrome steel. Nothing is as it seems unless you do it yourself.
