Your videos are really super!!
👋 (][) Bnjr. ~ (bonjour) (][) 👋 Bref, chapeau bas - pour votre vidéo tellement constructive. Vive la différence : ____ 《 DIRE 》 ____ 《 RACONTER 》.
I don’t follow I am sitting/i am seated, I always thought that I do and I am doing are translated the same way in french ie. je fais etc..?
I am sitting down is the action of sitting, while I am seated is the passive form, that's why they are not the same.
❤
Merci beaucoup pour ca J'apprends le francais depuis trois ans mais le francais parlé est encore difficile. Jai soixante cinq ans et je suis a la retraite
👍👍 🪑😉
Thx again. Il y a les deux formes de s'asseoir à connaître. Je viens de recherche. Savez-vous pourquoi? Me semble que s'assied es plus courante?
@@bdpage2023 oui, simplement parce que c'est plus élégant. Mais vous pouvez utiliser celle que vous préférez.
👋 (][) Bnjr. : (bonjour) (][) 👋 Bravo ! ! C' est super. Moi, j'apprécie tellement votre vidéo constructive. Toutes mes félicitations. 🎉 🎉 🎉
Wouldn’t I be sitting at the BACK of the church? In American English, churches can have tops - “I climbed up to the top of the church and got a good view of the city”- but they have basements rather than bottoms - “There’s a bookstore in the basement of the church.” 💒😄💕
@@Cor6196 you are probably right, i might have used the wrong word here!
Challenging verb!😢
@@eohippusone it is indeed.
ty for this, i have always had trouble with that verb
@@knux5796 everybody does! It's really confusing.
Merci bcp.

honorable teacher, you should speak slowly each sentence two times so that students can understand easily.
@@enamulhaque2932 that's true, i forget to do that sometimes. I will try to remember for future videos.
👍👍 🛒 🛍️😃
Can we say " il a trop bu"?
What is the difference between moyen and moyenne ?
Can we say " pour éviter à"?
Can we say " progressons"?
Can we say " j'étais en train de"?
So here's the canadian version; magasiner (for non-food items) and faire la shoppe (for food). For food, you may also hear more often "faire la commande ".
Interesting.... Merci!
Merci prof.

Your videos are so very helpful for my french. Thank you
J'aimerais beaucoup que vous me tenir par la jambe pour une demi-heure et m'aprennez plus de francais
Merci Claire. Pour toutes les vidéos et ton travail. Merci… 🇫🇷♥️🇩🇪
Your channel and lessons are really useful. Thanks. Your voice makes it difficult at times to understand precisely what you say in both French and English. Words are at times slurred and volume of voice goes up and down between different words.

Could you explain all the ways to use 'peine'? à peine, de peine, phrases etc...? Merci bien!
@@atavares7543 that's a good idea for a future video 😊
Thanks but thise are not the same meaning in English. One is benign and just means ‘talks a lot’. However, The one with ‘chew’ is is more negative and implies complaining about something or scolding the listener. ‘ ‘My boss chewed my ear off after I was late with the report’.
That's true, but "tenir la jambe" and "être un moulin à paroles" also has an annoying connotation, although perhaps not as strong as "to chew someone's ear off". As somebody pointed out in the comments, "talking the hind leg off a donkey" is a more exact translation in UK English.
It's odd how both French and English have leg-related expressions for very talkative people. France has the "tenir la jambe à..." and English has the "talk the hind leg off a donkey" 😁 (London only??? I don't know.) expression.
@@clivebennett8103 aah i forgot about that expression! I really like it. I hear it around here as well.
Qu'en est-il de l'expression: C'est plus fort que moi ?
@@genaroespina3840 ça veut dire "i can't help myself", ce n'est pas la même chose.

Une leçon très utile Claire, merci encore ❤
In Louisiana French we normally use "peux pas voir" or "je peux pas 'stand' (English).
Thanks
