Oh I LOVE making self-striping yarn in the opposite direction on the two socks. I really really like the look that it gives. (I do it with yarns like Opal as well.) I think that’s a very happy accident. Need to stop half way for today. I’ll just see you again tomorrow. Salam wa sa’aadah

I love 2 by 2 rib and I found if I start with k1p2 and end with p2k1, then I am knitting the first and last stitch on each needle of my magic loop. When I go from a purl to a knit when changing needles it is messy. When I go from knit stitch to knit stitch it is much neater. Hope that is helpful.

Have you tried to knit the first right stitch from the back loop in 2 by 2 ribbing? That's what helped me in the same problem 😊 Thanks for this lovely episode and I'm really looking forward your vlogmas🎉

20:35 it is funny, especially if you think of the colour name "Oy, with the poodles already!" According to Lorelai, this is the funniest words. So now you have funny socks with the funniest name 😆 21:46 when you knit with yarn like Opal, you cast on ribbon for both socks (if I remember correctly because you don't like knitting cufs), question- do you work from both ends of the yarn ball, or do you split ball into two balls? How are the stripes look later?

OMG! I started watching this when it was posted last month and in an ADHD moment I got distracted. 😮 I just finished watching on 10/29 when I came to the channel looking for new content. Watched the Socktober episode in its entirety weeks ago. 🙂Ella absolutely stole this show. 😍 She is definitely following her mother in the yarnie adventures department and it is adorable. 💖 Watching you both reminded me of Andrea and Madeline of Fruity Knitting. Madeline had a very minor role on the channel in the beginning. When her father, Andrew, passed away she became a major part of the podcast. I'm seeing that level of growth for Ella if she decides to stick with her yarn crafting going forward. 😉

My two favorite piano songs are One Summer Day by Joe Hisaishi and A Flurry of Golden Leaves by Kevin Kern. I listen to them when I read two of my favorite books, so now the very first note brings me right back into those stories.
