Your yarn choices were so beautiful to look at. You could tell your family that you are on a Summer Sock Camp strike that requires you to knit through ALL the chosen yarns. While the Camp is running, cooking, laundry, and house cleaning will be done by everyone, except you. 😉😂
Augusta did such a nice job with her little convertible purse. I always enjoy seeing kids be creative using their hands and minds. 😍❤

I'm admiring you being able to sew so many projects bags and adjusting and finishing your daughter's outfit just before hosting the cast-on party. When I sew last minute, I always mess it up. So, I only sewed one project bag (a pattern I sewed many times but always gifted), at least I have mine. I cast-on The Helium paiir of socks on friday, but as the cuff requires attention and a cable needle, I mostly knitted my wip pair of vanilla socks in the doctor's waiting room, and saturday in the emergency waiting room of our local hospital (for my son, but he is ok). The hospital is located near my local yarn shop and I treated me with 3 balls of self-striping summer sock yarn (a blend of cotton and bamboo) from Lana Grossa meilenweit and couldn't wait to cast it on (Wild Thyme pattern of This handmade life). As I looked your podcast I waved the ends of my first finished pair of socks (the vanilla socks). Let's enjoy the summer sock camp.

Everything to do with our craft is to make us happy! Plain natural yarn keeps us just as warm as beautiful colors and stripes. Plain stockinette works as well as cables, mosaic, or lace. We all are working to make our lives colorful and beautiful! I love your beautiful summer sock yarn colors! The basket looks like a day at the beach!

Love both of your popcorn 🍿 bags and the patchwork one came out super cute. I feel your pain, I lost both of my parents to cancer and my father in law and so many more and my aunt is currently in her fourth battle with it. Love all your summer peek a boo bags, the fabric is right up my alley.

What fun you had with your friends. Love the yarn you picked for summer sock camp. The one with the micro stripe looks like so much fun.
I have quite a number of sock wips that I hope to work on for SSC. Right now, I'm crocheting the border on an Attic24 Moorland blanket that I'm making as a retirement gift for my principal. If only there were more hours in a day!

I love your Sudoku helper ☺ I cast on a pair of socks today because why not start them earlier than planned, right--they are in a yarn that is crazy Howgarts house colors variegated/microstripes with tweed! You inspired me to get started as I don't count them as WIPs (same as blankets), so my other ones cannot feel left out. Such cheerful colors you have chosen! When I am back from summer travel with the family, I am going to try out Lang yarn's Jawoll for the first time, and make some colorful Summer Lee socks in colors 129 (coral?) and 060 (red, cherry red?). Happy knitting!

Are you planning to follow the Grannies-in-a row sock pattern for any of your socks this summer? I remember you doing them last year at some point and I loved them. I am considering doing them this summer.
Not this year😊 I love the pattern and the look, but must admit I don’t enjoy the crochet that much. Maybe I could have Ella do the little squares for me🤩
