    Sonic 1: Scrap Brain Zone for sure. Labyrinth Zone is a cakewalk compared to Scrap Brain Act 3 and that stupid timed door. Sonic 2: Absolutely it's the "dual final boss" as you get no rings to even attempt saving yourself, it's not just "hard" it's unfair. (Also, for the Record, the half pipes are not an Isometric Point of View, they are simply behind the back. Isometric would be how 3D Blast looks.) CD: Just getting the time travel to work 3&K: Just finding the Special Stages, honestly. Adventure: Big really isn't that bad, it's just "Get Froggy" and that's it, once you understand how fishing works, it's a Breeze... However the hard part comes from finding the fish big enough for his other Emblems in each level... However this is easy if you have a guide. What isn't easy is Sonic's final emblem for Casinopolis, because you need to get like, a bajillion rings, whoch means you need to either get very lucky in pinball or know the exact perfect route for the Underground section. Adventure 2: generally grinding is just so janky it gets stupid hard, I hate Final Rush so much because of it. The Cannon's Core thing can really be curcumventee by just... going to level select and playing Aquatic Mine again to get the Air Necklace. Like it's honestly a non-issue once you know about it and realoze you can go back, unless if you're legitimately challenging yourself. Heroes: Team Chaotix is really not that bad, I find their missions incredibly fun to do, because it varies the levels a lot more than just "reach the goal". No, the real hardest part of Heroes is the Special Stages. As not only do you have to take this random ass key to the end of each level, without dying mind you, but then you have the worst controlled pipe in the series. And then if you want to unlock FINAL Story, you need to get all the Chaos Emeralds, which are only found in the Special Stages of each level's Second Act, and you can't even like, grind one level to get them all, you HAVE to get each one from their given stage. And if you fail, that means you gotta do it ALL over again. Shadow: The most difficult thing is really unlocking the true ending. As you basically have to play through the game 10 times, each time trying to go for a different Good/Evil route. Everything gets super repetitive and kind of a slog, which doesn't help with how slippery Shadow controls. '06: I would have to say the Mach Speed sections, personally. The Silver fight only gave me trouble because I wasn't able to hear it due to me having my TV low so it wouldn't be picked up in my mic as I was streaming it. As for the Ball puzzle, it was more frustrating than anything else, but I managed somehow (even though I was frunk as hell) Secret Rings: I'll agree here, sometimes the homing attack didn't work properly, I wish we were able to get a separate control scheme because the game can be pretty fun when it agrees. Unleashed: Honestly the hardest part for me was trying to get all the Sun and Moon Medals just to simply unlock new levels to move forward. Made the game feel a little like a slog to try and get through, even if the whole game is really fun (I love the Werehog stages) Black Knight: The hardest part for me is not raging at being unable to play as the other charactera for more levels, also the fact that othee characters are unlockable in Battle mode, but they never show up in the story like come on we're missing out on something cooler here. Colors: For me it was honwstly Asteroid Coaster. I was stuck there foe the longest time when I first played I basically almost gave up. I haven't even attempted to get all the Red Rings, aince I like, barely cared. Generations: I'll be real here, I know this game gets a lot of love, but I got too frustrated trying to fight Eggman Robo that I just gave up and went to other games (I have too many) I need ro give this another shot sometime honestly. Lost World: I haven't actually played Lost World yet, it's definitely on my "I'll get to it" list, but level design looks like a motion sickness hellhole. Boom Rise of Lyric: I actually really enjoy playing Boom. Yeah the overworld puzzles are kinda oof-y, but I enjoyed it for what it is. However, the real hardest part for me is not saying variations of "Bounce Pad"/"it's a bounce pad" every time I hit a bounce pad because that's what the characters do, I even do it in other Sonic games. Mania: I've tried. I've tried and I've tried to play this game, trying to make progress. But I just can never get past Hydro City Zone. I know people love this game so much, but I just can't get behind Classic Sonic. The only reason I even got through the Genesis games was because of Origins, which got rid of Lives completely, so I was able to just, chill while playing. Having lives and then needing to play the whole stage over after Game Overing really puts a famper on me wanting to continue any game. And this applies to every game with lives, Mario Titles too. Forces: Not getting angry with the narrative. Like, we get all these old bosses coming back but we don't even get to FIGHt Chaos, and then Tails just being a whiner for no reason. Also the whole "Sonic is dead, oh no" followed immediately by "oh actually he's alive, let's go rescue him". Like at least let him "stay dead" for a few levels at least. Frontiers: I HATE PINBALL IN ANY SONIC GAME. But for real, it's not even just the trials that are annoying to try and get through with the FREE DLC, it's scaling the towers. It's basically like if Sonic was in Getting Over It. If you fall, you gotta start all over again with no real like "checkpoint" it SUCKS. I love Frontiers otherwise. Superstars: Haven't played Superstars yet, so I can't say anything. So yeah probably final boss or smth idk.

    Your video reeks of fanboyism for mania and is clear in the 1st minutes of it. "why sonic superstars failed to meet expectations" Y'all expected another classic sonic renaissance and got humbled real quick *Music* : when a sonic fan says the music is good they're indirectly calling the game mid without saying it. Fangs theme if matched with some mega man gameplay would have y'all crying tears of revival don't even start. "mega man is so back 😭" *Level design* : you spend more time rambling about generations than the actual 2 games your comparing. Ironically by doing this you retroactively automatically gave superstars the win here because its much closer to gens than anything mania could accomplish. An of course without question you turned this section into another bash compilation 😅, like the length of this section wasn't a give away enough. The same way "art over graphics" ppl downplay graphics by art direction is the same way your discrediting superstars. How TF does gens use of art amount to anything in this superstars vs mania comparison? None at all but it feels like you had nothing in favor to say for mania and resort to this irrelevant comparison "$60 game btw" yeah and mania is a $29 game because it's just some 8bit game what's your point 🤣🤣? Then you ramble on about poor aesthetics and performance as bro uses his switch to play the $60 game. Maybe just because a game is $60 on all platforms doesn't mean it's worth $60 equally among all platforms. Such a grasp at straws. Once again so easy to think one's better when the only graphics you need are 8bit ones "again this is a problem sonic magic often doesn't have an issue with due to the fact it's a really gorgeous game with great art style and animations"🎪🤡. "Mania doesn't have these problems bcus it's a 8bit that bypasses having to develop intricate graphics" 😂 and to think this guy rambled off about gens aesthetic for most of the chapter, 🤣 "stiff and robotic" as mania literally has png backgrounds at all times 🥶💀. Then you start to see why ppl abuse that art over graphics cope. It's easy to strip a graphical game's biggest appeal in aesthetic and make it a battle of direction and make it so art wins everytime. Ridiculous how this one section has me writing up a whole novel at this point and still a third of the way to go. It reflects the amount of endless denial is in it Your chemical plant example is pitiful because it dualy shows mania needed copied work for half of its design. Talk about glazing the game which stole design in the level design section. "always introducing and throwing new stuff toward the player" and superstars isn't doing exactly that??? "bUt mY pOinT sTiLl sTaNdS" Then que in the obligatory superstar slander at the end of the section because you realized you talked more about gens here than superstars. 12:25-12:54 I'm not even gonna quote your silly nonsense here but if this was Mario y'all'd be saying "this is the revival of 2d mario!" With the cryptic level design and difficult assessments. "detract from enjoyment of the game" like there weren't many moments like that in mania. Said something so incorrect I had to go back on my word. "bugs and glitches" context a sonic game 🎪🎪🎪. "most polished to date" the 2d 8bit game in question Funnily enough you showed more mechanics in this one scene than the entirety of the mania gameplay cycle 😂 13:49. I'm glad you find the irony of your glazing mid edit after you turned off your camera and realized you were glazing for 19 minutes straight 14:05. Theennn proceeds to show the worst possible example right after intentionally for superstars. If that wasn't bad enough he tried to damage control for mania despite doing the exact same thing, then rambles on about a boss which literally is a scroll type boss, a good quality design. But no he can't admit superstars demolished mania here and turned it into a L "short,.sweet, and completely satisfying to play through" "cheap, repeatable, formulaic to slog thru over and over. See how I can defame an entire game of design just like that because I have an agenda to serve 😂😂? "save for a few special cases I wasn't that fond of" "the many moments I purposely can't remember to include" "easy to understand gimmicks and easy weak spots" "easy bake oven ah mechanics for me to win against bcus attention span go pew" "never overstay their welcome" "never had anything to show for to last to begin with" "i wished some of them lasted a bit longer" 🎪🎪🎪🎪🎪🎪🎪🎪🎪🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡 And why bother staying for you obviously biased conclusion just parroting the same nonsense you made superstar fans go thru for another 4 minutes 💀💀💀💀

    I think that for the music, the main problem is that they're trying to recreate Mega Drive sounds and really failing to understand how to compose Sonic music. Mania left the Mega Drive behind and takes much of its style and instrumentation from Sonic CD (jp obviously), and while Mania's soundtrack isn't as good or crisp (CD drums are much better because they aren't just drum beat loops and actually follow the rhythm and melody, and the instruments are much more clear whereas Mania sounds muffled often and overuses that Hammond organ to death) I think it benefited from that flexibility. Genesis instruments and especially the drums could work, but whomever did the music needs to learn the style and the theory to make it work first, none of that guitar noodling style that modern Sonic is about, we're talking New Jack Swing and the wonderful medley of styles that the first 4 games used.
