Doyle makes a decent option for inexpensive pliers i have a set of crimper pliers to try out and ill probably get a few others but I plan to do the same thing with the gearwrench both orange handle design pliers and the main set of pliers i have is still channel lock that being said tekton make a fairly heavy duty decent product for pliers as well and i believe they are USA made

I bought a flex head 3/8 long handle racket. I could never keep the head from flopping around and coming off what I was trying to use it on. I ended up taking it back. No refund. Only trade it for something of equal price. Last time I went to harbor freight

Snap-on 17mm angle wrench for cracking open the fuel rail ends on john deere diesel when it gets air locked. This one wrench saves me so much headache when servicing diesel generators.

Get locking flex head

When I still worked in the industry the nearest HF was an hour away and that was back when they really only sold throw-away chinese stuff. I did stop in one on the way back from the track one weekend and bought a 3lb engineers hammer. Working on buses at the time it's a pretty regularly used tool. I wrapped the wood handle in grip tape and put it to use. About 2 months later I miscalculated a swing and broke the handle just below the head. In maybe 5 minutes I had the handle shortened by 2" and reattached, never having a problem again in over 15 years. That hammer separated countless ball joints or tie rod ends, drove out 100's of king pins and knocked 1000's of brake drums loose. I think I got my $6 worth. Would the $40 Snap On version have survived my miscalculation? Who knows, but extra $34 was enough to cover a test and tune entry at the track plus food.... Or a weekends worth of beer.

None of the stuff you bought is mid tier. It’s all comparable to Snapon etc.. good shit! I got most of those brands for years now. Still holding up! 👍

You got to get the other style of Snap-on locking Flex head, they're much better at staying locked but they're worse at staying flexed. mine seem to want to lock back up.

My buddy had a snap on box in the eighties a tall beautiful red chrome box. It was in between bays and the tech on the lift next bay backed into it with his butt and all the drawers opened up on those smooth ball bearing quality drawers glides and the whole thing fell over. Ok ok they changed the design since then but I remember the typical snap on hype that it was the best box and nobody could top it. Total crap. So then I own lots of snap on stuff. And the other day I tried to warranty a tap and a spring for my air hammer. Neither one is supported anymore I’m out of luck. Then he tried to sell me the new impact air hammer saying it’s the hardest hitting hammer. I informed him yeah already got that and it’s not supported. Then I mentioned the Tekton ratchet on torque test channel matched the snap on. He proceeded to tell me yeah but its longevity is where it counts. I reminded him how my old snap on stuff isn’t supported and so that’s a lie. Great tools overhyped and overpriced. Sorry snap off fans.

Yes idk what they were thinking, they’re old locking flex head ratchets were so much better. I’m going to have to resort to eBay to get one I think because I’m pretty sure they’re discontinued on snap-on’s website. Really just a step backwards in my opinion snap-on & whoever’s idea this was should be fired.

I like my snap on but been buying snap on over 20 years . The last 5 years it’s gotten crazy expensive out of control. I wanted a set of the long box end wrenches and I could see spending $550 .. nope snap on told me $880 !! On sale!!!! Lol 😂. My mechanic buddy told me try the icon . I did very impressed. If one breaks I don’t have to wait a week either .
