Grab some mac tools bits. They’re the best bits I’ve used, even though the price is astonishing. You wouldn’t regret them.

I have heard that . I'm fine with dropping the coin as long as it's worth it .

I buy tools I don’t even know are for……..then I’m surprised when I use them I’m like what are the odds I had that!!! Or I tell someone I don’t have that and they are like it’s right behind you…..and they get mad thinking I’m lying lol

Go with Mac tools cobalt bits. Once you get over the price shock. The lifetime warranty makes it worth it. I have a complete set of good bits last 15 years only bought a few I lost.

Better to have it and not need it then to need it and not have it. My biggest problem is I want to play with a tool as soon as I get it .

@classiclinesautomotive 🤣🤣 the old snickers commercial 🤣🤦‍♂️ god, now i feel old, haha, yea for sure joe! I have so many off brands, ive bought most my first tools off of Amazon years ago when i started wrenching on my own foriegn cars, and to be honest, ive resorted to Amazon many times this past few years in business just for specialty tools, and theyve never let me down, i have a 118 piece allen/torx/security set from casoman i got off Amazon a while ago, snapped a long ball end the other day, needless to say with a simle email and picture of the tool, along with my order number from way back then, i have a new one on order free of charge! Not the first time ive warrantied theough Amazon either! No problems and no REGERTS!🤣🤦‍♂️🤣

I had that recently on a 95 k1500 they had a 5/8s bolt and the truck was lifted was definitely a pain in the assembly to get to . Other than that I have been lucky with most things being correct .

@@classiclinesautomotive I've looked at the HF Icon option, the Mac Tools and V Series Craftsman. The big gripe I have with some options. Is it's so expensive but they don't come with that many. But I'm open to options. I really am leaning towards the HF Icon box. Just for the ease of the warranty.

Joe, my boy … I went to Lincoln Tech in 81 for auto and diesel, worked on cars since I was 15 and still do today if that’s not obvious , painted houses for a while and ended up an electrician with a woodworking hobby. That said, I’ve got some tools . Throw out one of those tools you regret buying and I guarantee next week you’ll need it . Signed 60 YO electrician ! Lol

Matco n MAC are both selling rebranded KnKut. Only difference is they worked out a warranty deal that's not offered with KnKut direct. But, unless you burn thru bits like crazy save your money and just order from KnKut direct after a bit or 2 are shot/broken.

I found that sometimes we need what we need, when we need it. We don't always have time to do in depth research. Sometimes we win and sometimes we are bit in the ass. Lol. Sometimes I keep the stuff and sometimes I trade it off or sell it or who knows.......

If, and only If, you have a Mac tool guy, AND he's a cool dude, wait until their drill bit set goes on special and buy it. The initial cost is still going to be pricey but it'll be worth it. I've worked at many shops and one of the things they have in common is they have multiple drill bit sets that are missing a lot of drill bits. Just like the set you showed lol. Or they're dull. My sets are full. I don't mind letting my coworkers use my drill bits (in a pinch) because if they happen to damaged them, I can get a new sharp drill bit when the truck comes by (they're going to want the broken piece to verify it's theirs). My sets has paid for itself multiple times over. They also warranty their easy outs (like the Rigid extractor ones), and burr sets.

Can confirm, my mac guy doesnt give a rats ass what happened to the drill bit, he'll replace it no questions asked. And the mechanics length bits are perfect.
