I love EHX pedals so much. My first distortion pedal was the Metal Muff and I loved it. Since then I tend to only buy EHX pedals. I just love their quality and aesthetic.

I still use the base model daily for scoring. I run pedals,loopers and slicers thru the fx loop and it makes it my main guitar rig over vst. Great video!

I bought 3 of the Ibanez Tonelok pedals as a bundle pack for dirt cheap about 20 years ago. This one was included, as well as the Chorus/Flanger, and my favourite: the TS7 Tubescreamer.

Hey hello when i use the super chorus with a distorsion or an overdrive the volumen in comparision is to low, how i can set up the volumen to be the same when i use the overdrive and then change to the chorus ?

Great tones. Sleeper pedal alert Ibanez CF9(?) chorus/ flanger with whacked mode but would get pretty crazy in normal mode too. I think it was Tom Morellos secret sauce.

Nice video! I love a good 4 knob flanger, there’s nothing more versatile when it comes to modulation. Have you ever played a TC Electronics Thunderstorm? To my ears it’s basically a nice and sturdy Boss BF-2 clone but they sell them for almost nothing. I just got a new one from sweetwater for less than $40. Classic analog flanging for the price of an XL pizza, count me in!

There is a special lunchness with those BBD based chorus/flangers, less of the anoying high pitch scanner effect.

If you ever put your hands on a Ibanez FL99 dual analogue... 😊 my fave. (Aka, the ADA killer)

Did Nady rebrand these in the the '90s? I swear it looks just like the Nady Flanger I had for a while, in my fruitless quest for a "Leslie in a box" (basically didn't exist back then, but that's another video). It was a flanger only, no switch, typical weird flanger knob labeling.

The ElectroHarmonix PolyChorus is a masterpiece of this type of modulation pedal. If you deepen the oscillation and combine it with an envelope filter, it will sound closer to a Miku-Stomp, perhaps.

Mr. Breakdown, Always good to see you! The situation with adjustments on this pedal reminds me of my otherwise excellent Walrus Eons. It has a selection of five different fuzz topologies. Problem is, each one wants different settings on the knobs to sound right. So changing from one fuzz type to another in a performance would be impossible. No problem for me though as I only play live from my mommy's basement :D

Dude holy shit you saying turbo charge the flanger blew my mind inside out - almost imploding my brain as it exploded with thoughts! Science! I grew up with gran turismo and top gear - I'm no stranger to recirculating and compressing additional air driven by the force of exhaust fumes back to the intake manifold - and holy crap it's the same thing with flangers (And phasers) and delays I suppose - where the output signal recirculates - reminds me of a great TPS episode where dan macguvers a tape delay or something using multiple pedals and a split signal.

I'm no expert but the flanger side reminds me a bit of the EHX mistress. Can you confirm? edit: I commented way before the video finished...so you basically said exactly what I was suspecting. I have a good hear still 🤣

It does sound similar to a mistress with a little more Clarity in the bottom and less “metallic-ish” top end. I didn’t hear all the lfo/clock noise the plagues the mistresses either.

Underated pedal, great review! The Guyatone pedals have been sleepers for some time, I got a small collection, for super cheap! They're as good, if not better than Boss, in some cases, IMO

Any kind of fast speed flange/chorus is a treat for me. Tip-an old buy good one is the old Morley Crystal Chorus. Bad volume drop but has the hwy Gilmour-esque mistress type sound when played with a muffs. I’m always looking for these pedals. Should’ve won a red witch Medusa the other night by snipe and although my bid was more than the final winning price I lost with my sniper saying “bid increment and too low” WTH

Still convinced an HF-2 can replace a chorus/phaser/univibe in a pinch...it's a versatile pedal that lends it's self as a cameleon. Play the song right and you won't notice the sound is a bit off...

Percussion background sounds like Susie Q .... which I just learned recently. Can you break on through to the other side? Oh wait. That's Jim Morrison. But .... I hear a voice like that coming in ...

You can't bypass the preamp on this unit, so sad too.

I just got that and the Steel Leather pedal for Christmas and both are subtle but amazing pedals. I use the Analogizer as a not so lead boost with Slapback for solo lines. As a solo boost it kicks ass. Glad to see it’s getting some much deserved love 🤘👽🤘

Had one since 2000. Along with the Tonelok Chorus they were the first guitar pedals I ever bought. It never left my pedal board since.I have played though several and objectively ‘better’ delay pedals and units since but I just keep coming back to my DE7’s unique, quirky, amazing sound almost immidiately. Also, never heard a delay pedal oscillate as good as it does ever. Pure blissful, lo-fi madness.😂😂😂

It's quite good - can't read the printing and the ramp sucks but it is otherwise a good and very musical pedal...like many good things - it has a few quirks...
