For you to be building aircraft parts, I think it's amazing! 😮❤ I think you guys can build anything!
@@TerryBrown-dx6nu built a lot of interesting projects over the years.
Learning alot watching the video, jBishop
It's a day later but I'm here now.😎 I think I'm going to try to do a live stream one of these days. Problem I have is I have Starlink for shop internet and it isn't the fastest thing around.
@@YellowJacketGarage may need to clear a tree or two in the path. Shouldn’t have much issue I thought in your area.
@JWsGarage the antenna is clear but it's just slower than I had expected.
Nice
🙏….
Looks very nice. I'm in the process doing the same set up. May I ask what is the wheel spec to fit perfectly for this widebody? Did you delete the rear z06 air duct too? Thank you
Wheel specs won’t help you a bit my man, they were specifically measured and built to the car, also took over 6mos to have made.
Always learn stuff from you. Honestly hope I never get deep enough into a project I need it but I like having a basic understanding of how this stuff is done.
Thank you, Love to have ya join the chat, going to go live tonight once it cool down a bit and I don’t have to have the fans going.
Audio issues absolutely suck! No apparent reason, it just says nope.
Think I fixed it.
@@JWsGarage it was definitely better.😎
I wish you would tell us when you were going on liiiiiive
Perfectionist and it shows 🙌🏻🙌🏻
Nahhh!!! 😂
I've got to finish my walls so I have places to hang all the shit I've got sitting on flat surfaces. You're far more organized than I am by far. Maybe the trick I need to try is going to the shop at midnight and cleaning up.🤣 Great walk and talk vid Brother!
Surprised anyone got that far in the video but thank you.
@@JWsGarage I watch all your stuff all the way through, if I haven't commented it's because I'm probably behind on watching something but I'll get there.🤣 I kind of take notes on the stuff I still need to buy too though.
@YellowJacketGarage have to admit I’ve discovered a lot of tools etc myself on TH-cam channels that I’ve needed as well. And greatly appreciated thank you 🙏.
I’m next
What are the wheel specs? Any spacers? If so what size? Cheers man looks awesome
Will this set up fit the 17” rim in the front of my c5
Unfortunately no, bare minimum is 18”.
Thank you for clearing this up. I was trying to figure out what the hell to replace it with 😅

Great video. Who makes that camper shell? My obs needs one like that
That was a snug top, it’s not made any longer I been on the lookout for another for some time.
Nice work but these same rotors in 2023 on amazon are$581 each
Yes sir the price has come down a lot.
I had to figured it out my self on my 2008 c6 corvette, I used the same thing your using , I use the rotor of c6 z06 ,of course every thing brand new,, i bought the calipers from Amazon ,$115,00 , rotors from GM dealer, I bit you had to shim the caliper with a washer 1/32 of n inch get it to line up perfectly in the middle of the rotor, because is what i had to do,, ! but yes,, Cadillac Brembo rotors fit c5-c6, corvettes,
Glad to hear it worked out for ya! How’d it fit with factory wheels or do you have aftermarket?
I have aftermarket wheels, had to used 20x10 F - and 20 x12 R-, concave style , I went with ZR1 widebody kit , @@JWsGarage
Oh !! just so you know,, calipers from c7 fit just like this Cadillac one ,,on c5- c6 - c7 . there all the same fit,, @@JWsGarage
Will it fit with c7 base corvette brembos? I think they’re the same as the Cadillac brembos
I need to know then I can adapt c5 rotors to my s10 and then make these work
Are you using the C5 spindle? If yes absolutely if not compare the caliper mounting spread between the bolts on the S10 spindle and look at the spread on the ATSV caliper per a tech drawing if they match all you gotta do is shim to center.
@@JWsGarage they make a bracket for s10 to c5 calipers that shims it and aligns it with c5 rotors. What’s the part number for those calipers
@@FIVE5NINE link to the parts is in one of the two videos on the brakes. It’s down in the description of the video.
I have a custom setup on my c6z that i should get around to sharing with the internet. It's an wilwood 6p caliper that was typically used in nascar. Literally a nascar caliper! lol... honestly, it outperforms anything "made" to go on the c6 z06. It does that while running a cheaper than stock rotor, and i just checked - being as how they are discontinued and getting kind of old, these caliper pairs can be had for like $300 on ebay. It *does* take a custom bracket, but I've figured out all the dimensions for it - been running this setup ~11+ years now on my 07 z. The other drawback is the wheel selection constraints. But plenty do still fit... and its pretty damn worth it for what you get in return...especially now that they've come down to be like <$400 in parts now 😎 I'll share specifics if someone is actually interested and ready to do it.
My black Vette has the C6 Z06 calipers same issue with wheels but I’ve had 3 piece cistom iForged wheels on the car for nearly 20 years now.
@@JWsGarage the c6z with the nascar brakes has CCW T10's that just baaaaarely clear the calipers! I have another c6z that has a set of 3-piece iForged wheels on it, too, funny enough. I think they're called "Aero's" - 13" wide(!) in the rear, lol. Tbh, I'd almost bet they would clear the nascar calipers on the 07 z06, too. I got those long after I had already solved my brake+wheel clearance problems... but they actually seem made to allow a ton of clearance too 🤔 iForged does (/did) make a pretty quality wheel though, for sure!
I got the iForge Aeros on the black car 20x13 rear 19x11 front. I had to shave the caliper slightly on the corners for the C6 Z calipers. On track in a hard turn they would slightly touch the back of the wheel center.
Can you produce those brackets? I'm very interested
@@jw14-z4l you no longer need brackets just a machine spacer is all. You eliminate the bracket entirely.
Or just bolt up the c6 z06 calipers and rotors front and back
True that’s what’s on my black C5, but for the cost just around town driver on occasion and a track day it’s a great setup and 10x superior to the OEM fronts again at the fraction of the cost.
i have a question...ive had my 19 z06 since october..been garaged now 4 aprox.. 4 months up here in oegon...snow is almost gone now...just took it out last week...love the manuel trans..sebring orange..my quest. is i put an afe cold air intake on my last vette an 18 gr. sport..lovved it..but like this installation the cooent lines need 2 be modded!!!it sort of cheapens the non-factory look on the screen im looken at. in real life what is yur take on it???thanks..
If it weren’t for the carbon fiber people don’t generally recognize it’s an aftermarket and it comes with good replacement lines “Gates Brand” that look oe.
@@JWsGarage it will be this one or the AFE...what doo you think??
@@scottbarker9058 I personally like both, they equally perform very well over OEM!

Great video! How close to the hood scoop does the air box sit? Does it run along side it?
Plenty of clearance for the heat extractor in the hood inch or more I would say. The air box utilizes the factory location taking benefit of the air channel inside the factory fender.
@@JWsGarage So, I have a 17 GS w/ Stage 1 Edelbrock SC (91 octane canned tune 5.5 psi), comes with green filter. Took it to a dyno and the first few pulls put down: Round 1: 474whp/525wtq. I was confused because Edelbrock advertises 520whp/500wtq on the 93 octane tune. So I was expecting anything above 490. I didn't see where air runs up to the fender so I decided to remove the enclosure to the air box and just run the filter against intake tube. Round 2: 500whp/500wtq. Got me thinking. 1. Would the car make those numbers in motion or am I better off running either a bigger airbox (Halltech/GM Upgrade) or open airbox (Air Raid/K&N)? 2. Or use the Halltech Ram Air kit to re route some air to the air box. (of course I would try to custom install some type of media to help keep out water/debris Thoughts?
Of you like reach out on Instagram and I’ll shooter you some pics of the K@N install if you like. I understand you’re struggles my SC C5 took a while to get just right in the end Ive had to custom build my own air filters for that car.
another question!!!!! i ordered the items, but the K500134 that came in the mail today does NOT appear to be serviceable/greasable, despite every description of that item number i've found saying it is. what am i missing?
No problem at all, do nothing I kind of prefer the non serviceable myself and in todays parts crunch take what you can get of quality.
@@JWsGarage thanks, you've been very helpful. i appreciate the prompt replies too!!!!
Very welcome. If you get a chance send a pic of the car over on the IG page.

I feel more confused. Is the rear the smaller one?, I would definitely use AC delco. I'm having trouble finding the front uppers. Would you write it out , which one you need x4 of and which one you need x2 of. Thank you! That would simplify my order a lot!
One of each for each wheel position on the car. The moog and precision part #’s are also the same ac Delco part numbers.
@@JWsGarage do you know the ac delco part # that you would need x 4 of. The ac delco part #'s are 19186956. or The smaller ones are $20-$30ea 19329420. Moog for front upper was K500134. I WOULD like to send those back, and get delcos. If that makes better sense, Thanks
First I would keep a moog over an ac delco I don’t often say that but when it comes to suspension. So you have 4 K6534’s On the car and also 4 K500134’s 4 are uppers and 4 are lowers. I don’t know the delco part # off hand.
@@JWsGarage I wrote them both. Thanks for the videos anyway. I got 4 ac delco and 2 front uppers that are greasable moog. Everyone who races 🏁 says ac delco are best ball joints. And greasing a moog is just another thing to worry about. I suspect I can mix and match, with just the front uppers being moog and the rest delco.
@@CorvetteTrev good deal! Spring is right around the corner get the corvette ready 👍 and glad to see a viewer tackling their own repairs.
I was chasing that belt squeak but it was actually the cone washer being lose . I’ve contact procharger and they denied anything about that problem. The way I’m seeing it is that they cross thread the impeller bolt so the bolt didn’t tighten up the cone washer enough so it’s up against the impeller. It’s rattling causing a clinking sounds . It also seems like the impeller is walking towards the case because of that gap in the cone washer . The unit has only 15k miles on it but it’s been over 10 years , and they told me why didn’t I tell them before . I have tried numerous time to tell them that the squeak is coming from the procharger and they denied it .
Can’t say I’ve experienced that on either of my pro chargers units, but then I’ve seen some others that got pretty torn up due to shaft play.
@@JWsGarage the shaft doesn’t move up or down it’s more like in and out . The impeller is shifting in and out (telescopic)
@@Sclassmercedes think I’d give pro charger a call back and ask them for the end play tolerance what you are describing seems excessive, I’ve also had that on one of my pro charger head units, it ended up with the impeller hitting the case. At that time pro charger warrantied it, the replacement I received had a new tag with serial #. Time frame I’d say that was close to 10 years ago.
Looking good! I like the background music, I might try that next video, seems like the video flows better maybe.

So did you have to go from the bottom to release the tensioner on the ac side . Don’t you have to get the belt off before you can take off the blower ?
The ac compressor runs off it’s one belt it rides on the inner crank pulley while the main serpentine sits in front of it. Therefor no you do not need to release the ac tensioner or remove the belt. Was I able to answer you’re question?
@@JWsGarage I’m m sure it has to be done to replace the idler and tensioner on the ac compressor
Understood but now we are talking about two different stand alone systems. If we are talking about the gates belt tensioner on the blower belt then the answer would also be no. The A&A SC system has a manually adjusted tensioner pulley you loosen to remove the belt and then the blower.
@@JWsGarage oh ok I see but a and a claim they never sold a procharger unit in their kit but are using vortech . Are you talking about the procharger or vortech unit . I’m assuming they use the same bracket ?
@@JWsGarage I don’t think mine has the gate adjuster but let me check I need to replace some squeaky pulleys that I can pinpoint where it’s coming from .
I have LEDs in almost everything. They are a huge upgrade. I have both high and low in my C5Z.
1000x better with LED esp the past couple years.
Does the light pattern scatter when you put LED’s in the stock headlight lenses?
I have heard of that before and in my experience ( I had the Auxito high and low beams on my C5 ) before I made the change to the corvette innovations. I was very happy with them myself.
Damn, those will sterilize their next four generations...🤣
