Great guide, but 1 thing. New people dont have +99 gear, and soloing is WAY harder without it. I have +29/+26 and my machinist just BARELY beat the stage 30 boss. I came out of the boss fight with 150 hp and 4 minutes left and lvl 50. I didnt mess up on any of his mechanics. I dont feel like I will survive going any higher for quite a while XD.

2:53 U wot m8? We stopped being a "nameless adventurer" after we defeated Ifirit around level 20. Where did you get this idea that we're a nameless adventurer beyond that point? We're constantly recognized by people throughout the MSQ as the WoL, hero of Eorzea, and several other titles. We're not even in an mentor role with Lamat. We don't teach her anything or guide her. We're a useless tag along that's barely more important than any of the other people pointlessly following her around. We went from being important to being literally nothing.

Fucking hell. Had to reduce the speed to 0.75 to even understand what they were saying at a million miles an hour. I'm a seasoned FFXIV player so I could follow along, but for new players who have no clue what is what, this video is very unhelpful. Slow down and breathe, yo.

worth noting you can also get the road to 90 buff on existing characters for taking the free world transfer to a new (specifically new, not preferred) world (such as any world on Dynamis at the moment)

I gave up on this when this was new because the lightning during goldor rush kept fully blocking me during dodge attempts or stacking on me like crazy when i tried to diamond back. it forces you to do basically a full extra cycle but using moon flute during goldor rush is sprint speed without sprinting and makes dodging it all very easy. The rest of the repeating mechanics are also very easy so kind of fixed the whole fight for me. Just need to make sure you do a swiftcasted exuviation at some point or the DoT will kill you while your helpless

While I didn't mention it in the video something else to keep in mind is the challenge log. You unlocked it through the "Rising to the Challenge" quest found in Limsa Lominsa Upper Decks (X:11.5, Y:10.9). Essentially it just gives you bonus exp and gil each week by doing the things you'll already be doing.

Are we playing a different game? When do we guide or mentor her? When do we stop conflict with our mere presence?

Just to add on something I don't see people comenting, I really love the changes they made to the quests mechanics. I play with my boyfriend, and we could actually do almost all of the quests together in a party. Even the parts where we had to fight summoned monsters, where it used to appear one for each, in DT we shared the mobs, and one of us killing it would count for the other! The only exception for it were the solo duties, but that one is quite understandable

Guess this no longer works 😢 just did this and had it kill 3-4 enemies and not one XP from it.
