Who would be the worst protagonist?

The thing that aggravates me the most about videos like this is how so many of the features these people always complain about (like beds and villages) have been in the game since before even I first played it which was TWELVE YEARS AGO, but I'm supposed to believe they only realized they hate it now? They only ever have any praise for beta and prior and it makes it seem like either they're being disingenuous about how bad they actually think these features are or they're complaining about a game they haven't enjoyed playing for literally over a fucking decade and somehow I'm supposed to find that reasonable instead of expecting them to just play a different fucking game

Movie Sonic the Hedgehog gets his face changed: OMG we love you! Insomniac Spider-Man and MJ get their faces changed: WTF?! Same exact thing, except one of these characters fans aren't even real fans, just one obsessive cult that is almost never reasonable

I love everything you said about Aiga and why he is my favorite which is why I REALLY hate how they made him walk out and have a tantrum when he lost in sparking cuz that's not how he should have acted anymore, he has grown to be more mature and able to take losses so seeing him act out like that after losing was just quite honestly insulting to me as an Aiga fan I don't care that he lost, I care that he didn't act the way he would have, I mean look at when he lost to Arthur, he didn't make a tantrum after losing

I loved Valt for the same reason I liked Ash Ketchum. They were energetic, entertaining, and pretty immature at the start. However, there was clear character development made as they matured and evolved through the show.

By far the best one tho i did have one issue with him It was during the god season and what kinda ticked me.off was the cliche at the end valt makes it to the finals for the whole plot reason of he "promised" shu hed get there That and the only reason why he got into the final round was because he got lucky cuz free couldn't continue cuz of his damaged arm but besides that he was a pretty good protagonist for the most part

His complaint about there being an end boss making it not a creative free game is dumb. Ive been playing for 10+ years and have never once beaten the ender dragon on survival. Never even been to a stronghold on survival either.

Tbh I have said it once and I will say it again YOU DONT MISS OLD MINECRAFT you miss being happy. You miss coming home from school and playing Minecraft pocket edition while you call your friend from your house phone. You miss the joy Not the game.

I'm 90% on par with you, but i must admit that all the new features, structures and blocks over the years kinda do overstimulate me and i, personally, feel better with just the few simple blocks in beta

I think OPs points are tryna communicate that older Minecraft didn't try to tempt you into doing these advancements, thus resulting in a checklist of objectively correct tasks rather than a freedom based sandbox where you have literally nothing telling you to do one thing, thus making a "correct" way to play a sandbox game In which, he's not wrong. And if you say they don't matter, then why are things like advancements here? To answer, to help kinda push you into playing the game in the "correct" way to play Minecraft, which is the impression I get from OP Older Minecraft still lacks in content, so its not a complete fix, but Minecraft has sort of become a checklist of tasks rather than a do what you want kinda game

I personally prefer version Beta 1.7.3. Is it better than the current one? In my opinion, yes. I'd always preferred its simplicity. Modern Minecraft is too complicated for my liking. There, problem solved. It's always better to share your opinion instead of trying to state something that could be disagreed or agreed with.

as someone who isn't a big fan of anything after 1.8, sipover's arguments are so stupid oh my god i just prefer the feel to older minecraft, that's it. it doesn't make older minecraft objectively better unlike other older games, such as pvz2 i have a genuine reason for disliking modern pvz2 many of it's issues (including bugs, not just intentional features) are: broken music several removed music tracks unbalanced leveling system save files being wiped when the game is updated the new almanac ui is REALLY poorly optimized and just looks plain the new plants that are unlocked with seeds are usually poorly balanced and just look plain bad arena mode and penny's pursuit were very poorly executed that's all i can think of off the top of my head, there is definitely way more this is mostly caused by the original team shifting away and the new popcap devs using it as a testing place to practice for pvz3, which is SUCH a stupid idea and is definitely a huge reason the game has gotten worse

Even his skyblock point makes no sense. He complained in the video about modern Minecraft guiding players into a certain way of playing, even though you can choose to just play however you want. He then proceeds to glaze skyblock, a mode that is built solely on limiting the player as much as possible to make them proceed a certain way. The contradictions in his video are so mind-boggling that I'm convinced that he did not script at all. Just yapped into a mic and then edited the video around it.

The only thing is you can't go back on older versions of Minecraft on Consoles because that was only possible on the old console edition of Minecraft that stopped being made in 2019 by 4JStudios
