- A lot of people love Spider-Man and while not all of them are jerks and creeps, the ones that are seriously stand out, especially in this new situation with MJ.
And I just kinda rant a little about this video. It happens to so many people and at this point, it's kinda surprising but it doesn't mean it ain't frustrating at times. Plus it's just really fun to rant about these things, it's funny 🤣

This is why I barely get involved in hardcore fandom conversations. I'm one of those Spidey fans who love the TASM films when everyone else hated them and I never understood why that was the case.

How much i love the idea of the internet shutting off that's a terrible idea. Everything goes via the internet now. If the internet were to shut down planes would start crashing from the sky. Technology like TV's and fridges would start to stop. Planes wouldn't take off. Boats start going in the wrong directions. Basic apps like calling wouldn't work. Life support at hospitals wouldn't work. Police wouldn't be able to get reports about Criminals. Without the internet millions of people would die. Nearly everyone on a plane or in a hospital would die. Everyone on a boat would get stranded. You couldn't acces your money so crimes would start to be commited and police can't stop them cause they have no way to figure out were these crimes are taking place. And by the time the internet would go back online it's too late millions would've died even more would've been hurt or robbed or become criminals. Sadly we need the internet to survive in the society we created.

I agree the bullying is wrong and they should have resolved this in a better way but.
The issue is when people see female characters that are "too beautiful" they scream and shout misogyny but when people see male characters that are handsome people aspire to be like them. It's not because of the actor but the message. That every main character must look ugly.

Honestly I’d call it a double standard, because when they made Peter attractive in the insomniac games everyone got mad, like what they complain about characters being ugly but when a character is made attractive they hate it, guess they couldn’t relate to him any more.

It’s people and behaviors like this that makes me straight up embarrassed that I’m a fan of these franchises. I still enjoy them, but I hate the fact that there are people like this. Not liking something is fine, but that gives no right to go out and harass the people who work on this stuff.

I can only think of two times I sent some kind of message to someone famous or high up. One was a letter to an author of a book I read in class, and another was a letter to my state Senator giving my input on a bill being passed through Congress that I wanted approved. I never even considered being a dickhead in either of those letters, can’t imagine what makes someone think something like this is acceptable.

I remember seeing the face for the model back when the trailer released. I can admit, it was kinda off-putting seeing her face from SM1 switch to what we see now. But, I eventually got over it. Then, I watched some gameplay of SM2 via TH-cam, and I gotta say I've warmed up to the look. Sure, it's new- but, eventually it'll become the norm. Those people are friggin' disgusting though... To think something so simple as the looks of a 3D Model caused these select individuals go THAT far.

Everything else is literally one of the intern writers at Insomniac, the face shape, the iconic Jawline and even the hair (except it’s not red). The problem isn’t that she’s not hot but that it’s a narcissistic self insert by another woman who doesn’t look like Stephanie. That’s what upsets me with Mj’s new model and the fact that they lied publicly just to blow smoke back up their arse and the expect sheep’s to believe everything which unfortunately did work since everyone says shit about the criticisms of the new face.

I feel like you're unnecessarily elevating the Black Panther suit situation to something it's not. The Black Panther suit was a tribute to Chadwick Boseman so I'm not surprised they gave it to Miles. But also, it's just suits, there's nothing more, nothing less. And stuff for wokeness, there are 3 things I heard people talk about which is Black Cat, the flags and the side mission.
Black Cat said she had a girlfriend and that was it. She said, "My girlfriend's in Paris." and nothing more, nothing less. It's more so a reason as to why she's doing what she's doing. It wasn't shoved down our throats or anything because that wasn't the main focus. It was quickly glossed over because that isn't the important detail. The only LGTBQ scene that people made a big deal about was the side mission with the male couple and yeah, I can understand that, but other than that, nobody talked about anything else.
And yeah, there are other stuff like the Pride Flags and BLM sign but they're not forcing you to look at them. You notice they're in the game and that's it, you move on. And also, I wanna say that New York has WAY more LGTBQ and woke propaganda showing up and Spider-Man 2 showed a part of that and you don't even see the flags or BLM sign unless you're actively looking for it which is honestly on you.
And also, where does the director for Spider-Man 2 say he purposely made her "ugly"? I searched around and the only time I've seen the director talk was on the WIRED channel or Gamecast. If you have evidence of that then please lemme know. Again, if you have issues with that in the game, it's fine. If you don't like the face, there's no issue, it's your opinion. You're right, she didn't say it, however the fact that Spider-Man fans hate MJ in the games and the fact she's quitting and mentioned that along with these fans "stalking" her, It's not crazy to assume that these "fans" did this because of MJ and her face was discussed a whole lot and was getting a lot of hate so it's not crazy to assume it's one of those reasons.
If not, then the only other reason is that they're just creepily obsessed with her. With that reason plus leaving many messages and voicemails and who knows what else in her work place to a point where she considers it stalking is a form of harassment. She literally said she felt unsafe in her own workplace so yeah, that says a lot as well.
People could've done this for one of these reasons or both. And also she called them Spider-Man Fans cause she wanted to use the nicest term as possible.
