Good to see more people waking up to the truth. All of UE5 games I played had performance, bad image quality and weird visuals overall. Meanwhile games like Horizon Forbidden West or Death Stranding runs great on different hardwares while still managing to look awesome.

Nintendo started this off by making them to break and sony jumped on it aswell, they know how to make a solid controller but instead they make them to break so they can sell parts for them at stupid prices

Just get used to buying tons of controllers. I’ve had my ps5 for about 2 years and have gone through 4 controllers… the point of failure always being stick drift on the left joystick.

I've got thousands of hours on my edge control and haven't even had to replace the sticks. And if they did they have a menu option to control dead zones more easily

how about you start by learning how repair your electronics. unplugging a ribbon cable is rudimentary

I have a similar story: I purchased the Edge controller as I prefer to have back buttons, however one of the back buttons stopped functioning, it lost its "click" and would only work when pushed in at a certain angle. So being a mechanically minded person, i pulled the controller apart (this was around the 12 month age of the controller) and found the tiny part that had a snapped prong. I emailed Sony and asked if I could pay to have the part sent to me so I could repair it. Long story short, they denied my request saying its not under warranty. I exaggerated that i wasnt trying to claim warranty, i just wanted to fix the controller. They said there was nothing they could do. I was heartbroken to have a 12 month old "premium" controller that is now broken. So now im saving up to buy a PC, PlayStation can get f**cked 😠

I bought my last Sony product in 2000. They've run this same scam with DVD players (lookup C:13 error) and other product lines over the years. In my view they lost their relevance in the 80s due to lack of product support. In order to compete with the US obsession with junk products, they betrayed all the brand loyalists who paid more for their quality products and pulled the rug out from under us without notice. One day we're buying quality designed and engineered products, the next minute Sony is just 4 silver letters on the same junk sold everywhere. The straw that broke the camels back for me was when I saw an internal service memo that addressed the design issue with my product, yet Sony, even knowing it was a design issue, refused to stand by it and do the right thing. Why would I pay a premium for Sony products? The brand name is no longer synonymous with quality and meticulous engineering. To be fair to them, I have considered their products again over the years, but it only takes a few mins of reading reviews for basically ANY sony product for you to realize it's absolutely no better than the junk coming over by the boatload visa-vi Amazon.

The PlayStation 5 Pro is the biggest scam I've seen in the video game industry. The PlayStation 5 Pro was supposed to be the original launch model in 2020 against the series x. They were supposed to upgrade the HDMI 32GB port to a 40 GB port. Four years later they still haven't done it even with the pro they didn't do it. PlayStation 5 generation is the biggest scam in the history of video games they made a system that doesn't have any type of capability and is obsolete. In all they did was make remakes from 20 years ago for the entire generation.

I have both PC and PS5 version. PC version of the game has texture shimmering problem. Issues with color calibration and HDR. The game looks better on PS5 due to all these bugs on PC. Game engine issues are 100% true. From software engine is very old now. Many modders have ported from software game world to Unreal Engine 4 and 5 and the game looks way better on them. So from software is not only getting poor performance but they are not able to deliver the visual quality they can be due to this engine. For example, just look at Demons Soul remake. Its a from software game but it looks really good. Due to better visual ppl are playing it more than original. So visuals are extremely important part of any game.

What I do I do when my controller drifts is as followed. Buy another controller and 2 weeks later return the broken one for a full refund. Nope I dont fell bad. If you sell defective products, your going to eat the replacement cost every time, not me. Ive been doing this for over a decade.

It has been getting better with them, at least. I played bloodborne on release and boy that dropped frames hard and often(favorite game) but then Armored core 6 was smooth as butter except for one short instance it dropped frames. Overall I’d say that’s a noteworthy improvement(but my experience is only with Sony consoles)

it's laughable to say it cost more or there's no better deals like the old days while such industry only thriving by the second.

to be honest replacing a control stick on a controller isn't to hard if you know how to use a soldering iron

i'm on pc but i use a controller as i suffer from arthritis so mouse & keyboard aren't a option. I'm currently using a xbox one controller which i've had since the xbox one came out & i've never had stick drift from it, i've only had to replace the sticks a few times due to regular use. I'm also a huge super smash bros player on switch & i still have my original gamecube controller from 2003 & guess what no stick drift only had to replace the left stick a few times. Companies make controllers fail more often so the consumer have to replace it more often.

I know I have lost this war back in the end of PS3 era, but R2 is not a trigger. It's an accelerator. R2 is not positioned as a trigger, it's not anatomic as a trigger, it's not firm as a trigger should be. R1 is a trigger.

First question. WTF are you doing with those controllers? After two months the text is not readable? Are you hamming nails with it? I seriously do not know what people do with these controllers. I have never had stick drift on any controller. I have PS3, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, Xbox Elite 1 and the Xbox Elite 2 and all of them work fine. The Xbox Elite 1 was widely reported as having issues but it works fine after 5 years?

I have to ask how much you play video games. I have 4 ps5 controllers and a ps portal. All sill have the printing on the back, and i never had stick drift. You must play 10 or 12 hours a day to wear off the serial number.

I cannot agree with that. Customer support is great and I haven’t any problems with stick drift my whole life! Xbox 360 / Xbox one / Xbox series controller / Xbox core controller. PlayStation 2 / 3 / 4 / 5 & dual sense edge So it seems there you are anything doing wrong?!

My PS5 cd disc died after 5 months and completing 2 games. I talked with sony and they said that even under waranty, i will send them my ps5 and they will send me back a refurbished one. I manage to find a new cd disk and replace it by my own. But after this sony is dead to me. The worst customer service ever.

PS5 has no games and their controller is inferior to the XBOX Series one. I find the XBOX series controller more satisfying and comfortable. the only thing it misses is a gyro and the touchpad the dualshock/dualsense has. i don't care about haptic triggers

Is THAT why they put the serial number UNDERNEATH the controllers? Where they know your two middle fingers are gonna at the most in order to support the controller? They KNEW the number would wear down eventually because of sweat and friction. Such a scumbag design choice.

better idea, let me start buying off brand controller that are just better than sony so they cant get the money.. and these off brand controllers are sometimes cheaper AND better if you know where to look

This along with the continued increase of console prices is why I went to PC gaming and im never coming back. Yes, it is far more expensive initially but atleast i can use what I want, tinker with hardware to my hearts content and avoid the merry go round of shenanigans with Sony.

Sad too. The dualshock 4, second rev esp. Was reasonably durable. However. USA at-least. They cannot void the warranty for you opening nor for the serial number fading with wear. That is a violation of the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act. Though I am well aware they'll try to squirrel around this. Report their asses to the FTC.
