My only real concern about Bluepoint working on a Bloodborne remake is this. ART DESIGN It’s VERY important that the original designs of enemies, NPCs, and environment is untouched. A huge part of what makes fromsoft special is that their environments are filled with character and can give meaningful insights into the lore. Charred Thermos is a TH-cam channel that has explored this the most, he has lined my brain with the eyes and has only deepened my love for Bloodborne.
I didn’t like many of the changes Bluepoint made in that regard with the Demon’s Souls remake. After beating it once I got rid of my copy of the remake, as I still have the original on PS3 and would just prefer to play that.

5:34 didn't age well after Concord. Concord and all the other games that were cancelled and are supposed to still come out that were designed on the same line also shed a light as to why Bloodborne 2/remake/remaster hasn't been a priority for Sony at all.
Also the relationship between Sony and Fromsoft are not in a bad shape. Actually Sony owns 15% of Fromsoft and had manybof their studio staff visiting FromSoft when they bring them to Japan.
I believe Bloodborne remake will release along the Ps6, and will be announced on the 10th anniversary. This cuz of the success of Elden ring, having Bloodborne as an Ps6 exclusive will work perfectly

I hope Bluepoint isn't doing the remake. All I want is a remake like Dark Soul Remastered and I want it to be done by Fromsoft. Demon Souls looks great but it never feels like a Fromsoft game. I don't know how to explain this, but when I think of all the series I've been playing regularly for years (including the original Demon Souls with Ps3 emulator), the only thing I play when I turn on the Ps5 is Bloodborne. I never feel like playing Demon Souls Remake because something feels missing. If Fromsoftware isn't going to do something about Bloodborne, I hope no one else does.
As a Bloodborne fan whos had it as their favourite game ever for the last 6 years, I hope this game gets ported to steam so more people can experience it
After how bad the Demon's Souls Remake was, I am shocked that people want any remakes, let alone done by Bluepoint. I just want a straight 1:1 PC port of Bloodborne. I won't even care if its locked to 30fps. I still play to this day the PC PtD edition of Dark Souls without turning on the 60fps option in DSfix and it's fine, if sub optimal.
Bluepoint did a terrible job with the Demons Souls remake. Not expecting a Bloodborne remake to be faithful to the original. And the only thing that it will have is pretty graphics.
I didn't play the original and while I liked it, I too felt that it was too sterile and a little generic feeling for a fromsoft game. Some changes are really weird and definitely took away from it.
They also completely botched the atmosphere of Shadow of the Colossus. They just don't understand that graphical fidelity isn't part of what made these games so beloved
The thing with the DeS remake is that the biggest group of people who _disliked_ it were the fans of the original DeS. If you were a purely gameplay-focused player of the original (as opposed to being invested in lore, atmosphere, etc.) or entirely new to the game, then you probably enjoyed it. But if the argument for a remake is "Look at the huge fanbase Bloodborne has! They'd pay tons for a remake!" then Bluepoint doesn't seem like the first choice of studio to do that remake and monetize that existing fanbase. (And who knows; maybe Sony understands this.)
Many people do not want Bluepoint to do a Bloodborne remake. Bluepoint absolutely butchered Demons Souls. Its subtlety, environmental storytelling, music & lore all suffered & were thrown to the side with their silly hard headed decisions. Also several comments they made were very disrespectful to the original game & showed a severe lack of understanding of what From were trying to get across in their game. A remake of Bloodborne by Bluepoint would miss so much of what makes Bloodborne so special & instead focus on high graphical fidelity & environments filled with the colour scheme of orange & blue. 🙄 Do a remaster with improved frame rates, or a sequel with FromSoft involved, but do not tarnish Bloodborne with that developer again.

I think it is quite possible PS6 will be launched with a Bloodborne remake. It would explain the quietness from Sony. There is also no controversy or anything preventing them from doing this. Its just a guaranteed way to get many people to buy a ps6. Mentioning anything like this now would mess up the hype that this would create. The most plausible that they lost the source code. You say there're workarounds for that but to the best of my knowledge there's none. If it's lost you'd have to rebuild it. There's a limit to reverse engineering. Similar thing happened with Konami and silent hill hd remaster and the results were abysmal.
My guess is they're waiting till PS6 launches and make the Remake a launch title. Sony is very well aware of how popular BB is, so they're banking on selling a whole-@ss console just for this one game.
Just because Demons Souls didn't sell well enough doesn't mean we don't want Bloodborne. Sony's logic is so one-dimensional. Bloodborne WILL sell, and it's ridiculous there hasn't been anything, not even a 60fps patch. Anyone who loves the game would probably pay $20 just for that.

I don't think Bloodborne needs a remake though man. I can't help but think Sony will 'update the themes of the game for a more modern audience' or some other corporate bullshit. The game is perfect as is! I just want to play it in 60fps and see those textures as they should be.. and not get motion sickness every time I play.. The other, more salient point, is that it would cost them FUCK ALL to make it happen and yet they could realistically charge 60 bucks for the privelege and GOD DAMN WE WOULD PAY IT.
Sorry to be "that guy" but Bluepoint remaking BB should not ve under the good category. I guess going from lower fidelity to 4K means it's not really possible to be 100% faithful to the source, but they made baffling artistic changes to Demon's Souls remake and they would likely do the same to BB. At this point, the best way to play Demon's Souls is via emulation, and if Bluepoint does the same to BB, well... At least the ShadPS4 emulator is coming along very nicely. Sony should just upscale the textures, add better antialiasing, and patch to run at steady 60fps. Less effort/cost than a full remake and get to keep the amazing art style of the original.
Uh Sony Interactive Entertainment funded, supported, promoted, assisted, Japan Studio co-developed Bloodborne as their own project, any remake will be PlayStation only
TBH I don't want a Blue Point Bloodborne Remake. Demon's Souls PS5 could have actually tried to update systems and quality of life to get the game as smooth as DS3 while still feeling like DeS and dare I say the sixth archstone. Bloodborne needs updates to Chalice Dungeons in a major way and somewhat by extension blood gems and Caryll runes.

Great video! I think the reason why Demons souls remake didn't show more sales is because is included in the PS subscription, I subscribed to PS instead of buying Demon souls.

The only game I’ve ever platinumed.. ran four playthroughs, but I’d start all over if they remade it for ps5. And I’d pay $70 on launch day… I think the millions of us BB fans would , without question. Come on, Sony. Don’t yall like money?

Bloodborne has sold so far 7.46 million copies, only 2 million of those came in year 3 of release, meaning almost 5.50 million copies were sold at a loss making Bloodborne a financial failure

I would rather take Bloodborne remaster/pc port than a remake made by bluepoint. I think we will eventually get to play bloodborne on pc through ps4 emulator.

The most plausible that they lost the source code. You say there're workarounds for that but to the best of my knowledge there's none. If it's lost you'd have to rebuild it. There's a limit to reverse engineering. Similar thing happened with Konami and silent hill hd remaster and the results were abysmal.
My guess is they're waiting till PS6 launches and make the Remake a launch title.
Sony is very well aware of how popular BB is, so they're banking on selling a whole-@ss console just for this one game.
Just because Demons Souls didn't sell well enough doesn't mean we don't want Bloodborne. Sony's logic is so one-dimensional. Bloodborne WILL sell, and it's ridiculous there hasn't been anything, not even a 60fps patch. Anyone who loves the game would probably pay $20 just for that.
I wouldnt want a Bluepoint remake. Just upres assets and textures not upscale, and unlock the framerate.
i believe the mistake of placing "coming to pc" on the demon souls remake trailer end card hurt its perfomance. I myself, the dissappointment made me not wanna buy it
I don't think Bloodborne needs a remake though man. I can't help but think Sony will 'update the themes of the game for a more modern audience' or some other corporate bullshit. The game is perfect as is! I just want to play it in 60fps and see those textures as they should be.. and not get motion sickness every time I play..
The other, more salient point, is that it would cost them FUCK ALL to make it happen and yet they could realistically charge 60 bucks for the privelege and GOD DAMN WE WOULD PAY IT.
If they made a remake of ps3 demonls souls they surely will do something with the bloodborne ip but maybe not before ps6

Sorry to be "that guy" but Bluepoint remaking BB should not ve under the good category. I guess going from lower fidelity to 4K means it's not really possible to be 100% faithful to the source, but they made baffling artistic changes to Demon's Souls remake and they would likely do the same to BB. At this point, the best way to play Demon's Souls is via emulation, and if Bluepoint does the same to BB, well... At least the ShadPS4 emulator is coming along very nicely. Sony should just upscale the textures, add better antialiasing, and patch to run at steady 60fps. Less effort/cost than a full remake and get to keep the amazing art style of the original.

Uh Sony Interactive Entertainment funded, supported, promoted, assisted, Japan Studio co-developed Bloodborne as their own project, any remake will be PlayStation only
TBH I don't want a Blue Point Bloodborne Remake. Demon's Souls PS5 could have actually tried to update systems and quality of life to get the game as smooth as DS3 while still feeling like DeS and dare I say the sixth archstone. Bloodborne needs updates to Chalice Dungeons in a major way and somewhat by extension blood gems and Caryll runes.

Did anyone think Bluepoint did a good job with the Demon’s Souls remake? I didn’t. Quality of life improvements were nice, but all the changes to aesthetics and atmosphere were not to my liking. I would definitely NOT get a BB remake if Bluepoint was behind it. The original still slaps.
The fact that so many people want bluepoint to do the remake is so braindead. I feel like a lot of people have backed off on this recently because they realized that they butched the tone and art direction of the demon souls remake really badly.

demons souls ps5 is on PS plus so they wont get any more sales most people that buy ps5 generally have ps plus, hence why they are happy with what it sold as you said the install base was low when it first came out and the struggle with making the ps5 by time stock came back it was added to ps plus
i have no fear, if sony doesnt give us a bone, eventually ps4 emulators will show up to be able to run bb, and some may argue it is not fair, well my friends, piracy is showing itself more and more useful to grab from the balls these powerful companies that has no simpathies for the consumer
Bloodborne remake for ps5 pro would make more sense than ps6
Spending countless millions to remake a single title for a console revision with a short life span makes no sense compared to making it solely for PlayStation 6 where it will draw in sales for that entire console generation

If true we only have 3 years with a couple of months or so left for this current gen to end, even less whenever the pro version releases
Remember a launch title may sell more since there will not be many options to buy at release of the newer system
