I’m Mike. I moved to Seattle in 2019. I’ve been taking photos since 2015 when I read a blog about photographing the milky way on Mt. Whitney. When the pandemic hit, I was working at a soul crushing company and I lost motivation to get outside and explore. But with a west facing apartment, I regained some inspiration with the sunsets I saw. In 2021, I started taking time lapses when I realized I could simply point my camera out the window. In 2022, I thought I would upgrade my production and share.
Escaping Seattle to find the Northern Lights - 4k Timelapse
On the Road - Ep 11.5 - With the Northern lights expected to be visible on May 10th, my wife and I drove about an hour east to Snoqualmie Pass. Keechelus Lake is one of the darkest sites close to Seattle. I've struck out here before, but not this time.
