Cold & Rainy Winter Birding - Majestic Bald Eagles & Herons - Union Bay Natural Area

On the Road - Ep. 10 / Birding January 2024. I made it a goal to get out every month during the Fall and Winter to go birding. In January, I choose the coldest day of year and one of the rainiest, but I caught bald eagles and herons.

I went to Union Bay Natural twice again. The First trip was a cold and windy. I decided to take the train and walk from the UW station. The cold weather fit the somber mood as the football coach left. I thought the walk was bust when a pair of eagles perched just over the trail.
