We originally planned to meet some friends mid-way between Seattle and Northern California. The southern Oregon Coast was a good idea until the wildfires erupted. While we missed out on the worst of the smoke, our friends understandably did not make the trip.
After 440 miles of driving, we made in time to set up camp and get a sunset. We experienced thunderstorms the first night and had to wait in the car for the storms to pass. We made the most of the remaining days and lucked out as the Anvil Fire exploded once we left.
