I drove my 26 year old Acura 2.3CL 1700 miles from Vancouver BC, Canada to Sante Fe, New Mexico to attend the 2024 National Acura Legend Meet. Along the way I stopped at some cool places including Thompson Springs, a ghost town in Utah where I saw the abandon Thompson Motel. It was born during the recession... it's pretty good
Did you think we didn't know..?
Market crazy now since pass weekend auctions. Fully restored em1 matching numbers 66k.
2015 Honda Civic Coupe EX all black for the win.
WTF do you mean the first duel overhead can engine found in a Honda? i have a 1965 S600 that has a duel overhead cam engine!
This car aged VERY well. Honda doesn't miss when it comes to RWD driverrs' cars. It's a shame they're so staunch on making only FWDs.
The yellow ones were a dealership option for the 6th gen civic hatchback in the Midwest US. Mine came with them and are the Original Stanley glass ones. Sadly I had to replace them as they no longer functioned and were cracked :/
Oh interesting, I didn't know that.
@ I don’t think many got them, but whoever bought my car originally had that + AC + Am/FM cassette radio and front and rear lips(Which I think was also a dealer option). The guy fully fit it out lol.
@@TonyRBaas lol wow thats quite the optioned out hatch! Very cool!
Was able to get it working but the only issue I have is the max volume is still very very low 😅
Which bluetooth board did you use? I had that issue with some of the boards i tested. You do also want to have you phone volume up pretty high for the board to get a hot enough signal
@ my phone was maxed, I used a product from maker hawk, they had 4.5 starts from 500 reviews so I figured they had to be good lol. I bought another module from another manufacturer just in case so I’m going to install that one and see if it’s any begger
@@BI-xs9id I recommend the MH-M28 board. I tested a whole bunch of them before I made this video and that was by far the best one for quality and output volume
@ I tested the other one and still same issue, either the points are well soldered or they are not the right ones. The radio I have is from a 5th gen prelude and I couldn’t find anything other than someone doing it on their like 05 civic and the boards looked exactly the same. I then did it on my 99 accord cassette player where the points were labeled and it worked like normal, was a little static because my soldering isn’t good but I fixed it haha
reminds me at the times of my audi s1 quattro and golf 1
When I was in high school in the early 1990's a neighbor had a Sterling and claimed to love it. Ot had Honda reliability with European snob appeal.
You could have added the Rover 200, which was a rebadged Civic of the 80s and 90s. Many tell they were the best Rovers ;-)
Hey BC! Cool. Where abouts. I’m near Nelson
I'm in the lower mainland area
Im from the UK and I have a Honda Accord MK8 (Its an Acura TSX in North America). I took care of it and it took care of me, best car ive owned.
The hackery paid off! I like the contrast of yellow fogs. For a long time I was running PIAA yellow bulbs in my Legend OEM fogs. Nice upgrade!
haha thank you! Yeah I'm happy with how they turned out.
I had a 1997 Prelude Type S. BB6 vin code. Not sold in the U.S. It was imported to CA from Japan and it was a manual. Top of the line to say the least.....The car sucked. WAY OVER-RATED. Cheap crap. And not quick at all.
And the best part they are cheap to buy i got my type s for 3K and i got my base for 1.6k and they will continue to be cheap since the name integra still lives because their real names will always be integra, the only ways these will be considered classics is if support stops for the Kseries which will be years and years from now
Seems i need to do this to my 4th gen Legacy. Weirdly thr door closing sound in the video is just like mine, and I'm sure my window is rattling
and now it's a suv smfh lmfao
🤮
You know I'm having the same problem trying to reuse the original fog light switch and modify wiring the aftermarket fog light wiring harness into it. How did you do it? In my case I'm trying to add fog lights on a non Honda car, 2000 Volvo S70
Basically just trial and error, connecting the wires together with alligator clips and using a test light to see which wires had power when turning the lights on
I miss my 97 integra, but I did move up to a TSX. Yours looks in great shape
I'm glad you own a 3rd gen Intergra like me! Ex. Honda Technician right here~
Not everyone's 5'5" but it is a fine car.
Wish I would have never sold my Acura slx but dealership by Acura or Isuzu wouldn’t service it
Awesome video!!
I actually recommended your channel to a bunch of knuckle heads on a Honda facebook group who were ganging up on a Canadian for posting pics of his 98 Civic Si.
Please excuse and ignore the random static at 15:50, I just got a newer computer and I forgot to reactivate one of my audio processing plugins, so it spit out some random trial mode static, luckily only once and when I wasn't speaking. I don't think its worth re-uploading the whole video over that.
would this work on the rd1 crv? I dare you!
That's a daily? 251k? Pretty nice!
That back wasn't it until the 4th gen😂
If you mean the taillights connected with the red fake light bar then no. The 3rd gen Si started that, you can see it in this video
My brother loved this RIP bro love u❤
This is awesome, I recently bought 3months ago an RSX that Im working on restoring. Just got some almost new OEM black leather seats.

Myyyy, vigor
I had a 1999 TL, player.
I passed my drivers test on an 1988 Acura Legend in the nineties, blood.
I had a 01 EX coupe 5 speed. I never got under 30mpg on that thing even if I tried. Totaled it and got a 99 CX hatch 5 speed. That was the most fun car I owned. I had dreams to build it into something but I totaled that too. Now, I drive a 2019 Elantra 6 speed manual and while the interior is built with all hard plastic, it's a surprisingly quiet car that sips on gas so I'm happy with it. I love Civics.
1st gen was the best. Long in the tooth meant solid reliability. It was huge inside and tons of glass. You could slide a tandem bike with the front wheel removed into the passenger side and still shut the hatch. The other rider sat behind the driver. Thank goodness no CVT. The auto 5 speeds were beefy and also long in the tooth. Biggest gripe on the base model is the Honda key locks and ignition were crappy. All replaced eventually. Most of the under car plastic panels and dams broke off, sometimes taking a fender well plastic with them. Otherwise a FUN drive. It weighed like a paper cup even with the (thankfully) obligatory reinforced occupant cage cars have now. (Enormous A pillars for that huge front glass.) 7 airbags too. I could never blow up those excellent door speakers even with 60 watts per channel. (You could buy a double DIN radio kit for it.) It finally became a high milage car. Broke my heart to get rid of it. I can tell the engine and transmission, with regular maintenance, will easily go 300k miles.
