My brother actually had a pretty clean 95 acura legend coupe in Milano red for awhile. I forget what happened to it. It was a slush box, and even if it wasn't, this particular brother was never a car enthusiast. I always loved the rear end of the second gen Legend.
Chris it was nice to meet you at NALM! Your journey there was epic, love to watch the windshield time. Your CL is top notch. Hope we cross paths again soon... at sea level 😁
So many memories!! For being like a "gen Z zombie with a phone on record," this was a great recap, haha. I really need to visit the Thompson Hotel. And stay in Green River. Glad you included the footage of your well-deserved award!! I need to find out where that ended up so we can mail it to you for proper framing and display. Thank for making the trek! (And for the CL test drive)
Yes I would definitely frame it haha. Green River/Thompson Springs was super cool, I would definitely go there again. On the way home I went to Swasey's Beach in Green River which is a really cool sandy beach along the river, it even has a boat launch, not something you would expect to see in the middle of the desert!
26:17 Daytime Running Lights. Classic 90s Canadian Honda/Acura Issue Just need to replace or resolder the DRL Relay somewhere under the dash! Till then you can just tap on the relay box and the DRL light should go away
Going to NALM would be a dream for me. When we have a Honda Legend meet in Germany, there are less cars than in my collection. Right now I have ten of them.

This video made me realize I haven't seen a legend in person in almost 20 years. A coworker/friend of my mom's had one in white. I believe it was a 2nd gen. Rode in it once. Was pretty decent from what I remembered
I bought a 98 CL 5-speed in (unfortunately in primrose mist metallic) in 2006ish with 230k miles on it, the seller only wanted $1,700 for it and claimed the previous owner was a doctor who commuted from Portsmouth, NH to Boston and it passed inspection when i bought it, but after a year of driving it to Danvers, MA from Portsmouth, it needed a whole front end rebuild i traded it in for a 01 Type-SH Prelude and now that I look back, I kind of miss that car, even though in the sun my coworkers said it was "pink" it was actually a SUPER reliable car
I don't think we officially met during NALM. I love those 1st Gen CLs as my Dad Had a 1990 CB7 (automatic). I had a 1993 Vigor GS 5 speed that was my first Acura (I had owned a 1998 Accord LX-i 5 speed). Well the Vigor was outgrown by all my GIANT friends so in November 2000 I got my 1994 Legend GS. It has been QUITE THE TRANSFORMATION for it over the years! ;-) ~ The Mad Scientist
@@AcuraAdvice Ah at the dinner. I was pretty tired army dinner and stayed up WWWAAAYYY too late the first night. You wouldn't have thought we had just finished 19 plus hours of driving and then pretty much walked straight over to the restaurant. Throw in my insomnia sleep disorder and remembering some things has been "interesting".
Its for the Daytime Running Lights, which only the Canadian spec cars have. Its common that the soldering cracks in the DRL module causing the day time running lights not to come on. Its an easy fix though, you just have to take it apart and reflow the solder joints, I haven't done it yet but I will be soon.
Definitely post part 2! As someone who can't attend these, your videos help us experience NALM from our homes.

Any serious issues like transmission or engine failures?

Love your videos. Collector insurance is great. I also have the collector plates on jdm db8-r. Definitely worth going through the process.

we did kind of meet briefly the first night, I remember you telling a few of us about getting the 3.5 block to fit in a Legend! Cool stuff!

Thanks for the video. What kind of mpg did you average on your trip?
damn I didn't even know that was a thing
What’s the name of that Bluetooth module I’ve been wanting to get one that works for sure 👌
