So if you are in the US, Amazon USA doesn't seem to sell the O2 sensor spacers but they are plentiful on Canadian Amazon...as a Canadian I don't know if they aren't allowed to sell them in the US or what, its very suspicious 🧐 That should prove right there that this works too well 😂 So Canadian Amazon links for them are in the description and hopefully they will ship to wherever you are at!
After replacing my cat in my 00 HX, similar to base model civics, 2x I converted to the EX style before k-swapping the car years later. The Cats were cracked right at the top of the cat. Same spot.
Good intel. On a somewhat related note, my 2019 TLX threw me a curve ball yesterday when I went to have it emissions tested. The tech said the system was "NOT READY." Service advisor at the dealer said it's common for the V6 G1 TLX. Have to take it in Monday for them to evaluate. And see if they have parts avail for the fuel pump recall. I think my 30-year-old Acuras are less upkeep than this one.
The new ones are definitly more upkeep... In Canada parts for the fuel pump recall are still TBA, luckily there seem to be very few of them that are actually having problems so far
The thing is that even though the check engine light will turn off. It won't pass the visual inspection part of the smog check unless that person doesn't actually see the spacer.
Thats true, but in Canada they dont any kind of smog checks anymore, and I thought most States had stopped doing it too but yeah I guess it depends where you live though.
@@AcuraAdvice I moved here from Canada. I still have my "converted" 1997 Honda Civic. Near 400,000 miles! I actually am replacing the cat converter soon

Isn't there anything else you could do to impede the air flow? What if I just plugged the most of the slots on the sensor itself?
