Wait what?🤔I think succession is one of the ten best shows ever made. What’s your reasoning for saying it’s the “worst” show you’ve ever seen? I’d like to hear this.
This show is great and it's basically a master class in writing and acting. Though subjectively Kieran Culkin's acting is so incredible especially in the last season. Some of those moments are just so heartwrenching and yet creepy at the same time. It's kind of hard to articulate how incredible the acting was in this show.
It’s some of the best acting I’ve ever seen. It’s very hard to decide what show I want to win more at the Emmy’s for its acting. Better Call Saul or Succession
@@introvertedrobot yeah I'm also on the fence in that regard, though, I want better call saul to win slightly more simply because they've been largely snubbed up until now.
Fantastic analysis and description. I’m jealous of the people who get to experience this show for the first time. And it does get better and better. In addition to everything you listed, the show has stunning cinematography and always fascinating filming locations.
Interesting video ! Shiv is so hated by misogynists and Ken lovers that she has become my favorite character. I may also have more compassion for her because she's the only woman on this family of men who have little regard for her. If she hadn't been nuledout from the start , she would've been fit to lead Waystar. She has built a shell for herself because she too is emotionally vulnerable . The end of the Shiv/Tom arc seems to be modeled after the movie finale of The Graduate with Ken as an ex-future husband abandoned in the middle of the wedding ceremony.
She’s one of my personal favourites in the show. All of the family is pretty sympathetic, and Shiv is the most ruthless out of the siblings. Since she has a family where her father and siblings see her as weak because she’s a woman. She had to be tougher and more ruthless than everyone else. Which means she cannot properly open herself up to anyone, because she is scared of getting taken advantage of emotionally. So she settles for someone she sees as weak, and someone she can take advantage of instead of the opposite happening. She is a very tragic character, and the people who hate her are probably the same people who hate Skylar White. I think the moment that made me feel for her most was in season 2, Logan had promised her the whole package of CEO. She at first doesn’t believe it, but then slowly buys into it. Cutting off all contacts with the people her father hates, until Shiv finds out that she really is just being used.
@@introvertedrobot I think she change her mind about Tom after he betrayed her because otherwise she would've had an abortion. He realized that during their last phone call where he told her : YOU'VE FALLEN IN LOVE FINALLY (Shiv : TOM WAMBSGANS FINALLY MADE ME FEEL SOMETHING ! after Bitey). He also said he agreed to an amicable divorce (CZECOSLOVAKIA-> DIVORCE DIVORCE) and she will not follow up on his proposal . Note that they kept their wedding rings all the season 4. Except Tom who doesn't have it at the start of e1 but has it at the end of it. In the end, she loses as much as her brothers for Waystar but she gains the possibility of a "REAL RELATIONSHIP" with Tom that she asked for. About Shiv, Jesse Armstrong spoke Non-Victory and Non-Defeat. And, I don't think being the CEO's wife means anything for her. She goes the opposite way of Ken who sacrified his personal life for his ambition. Besides, have the billions from the sale , she must be able to make her own way. For me, the end of the siblings is more bittersweet than tragic because they're definitively freed from the toxic grip of their father. For me succession is easily a top ten tv show in the history of television! An absolutely perfect masterpiece of a show. My top ten looks like this 1. The wire 2. Game of thrones 3. Mr robot 4. Dark 5. The boys 6. Breaking bad 7. Succession 8. Stranger things 9. Sopranos 10. Mad men/better call Saul I’d like to hear other’s opinions rather they’re the same if different than mine. I'm almost done with Succession, and it's easily a top-ten show. Each season just gets better and better. Here's my current top ten: 1. Over the Garden Wall 2. BoJack Horseman 3. Better Call Saul 4. Mr. Robot 5. The Wire 6. Succession 7. ODDTAXI 8. The Sopranos 9. Breaking Bad 10. Avatar: The Last Airbender

Since it wasn’t the same mother though, the other siblings make fun of Connor for it. Although, it was a mistake on my part to say they weren’t related lol.
Connor is the eldest son of Logan Roy, but not from the same mother as his siblings. However, he is “the eldest son” and “Connor Roy was interested in politics at a young age.”
