So I have been getting similar comments over the past few days about my one criticism I had for the game. That being that I was wrong on the magazine being empty, and that it actually jammed up. I admit I was wrong on that part, what still baffles me though is how Saddler doesn't even bother to finish Leon off afterwards. He tried killing Leon multiple times throughout the game, and now when he finally has the chance, he doesn't take it? Once the gun jams he just gives up. So yes, I will give the game points for having that level of detail, which just makes me love the game more. But what Saddler does is just stupid. I hope this clears things up, since I've been getting similar comments about this for a few days now, and thought it would be good to clear everything up!
To expand on that; apparently when firing a pistol, you need to hold it steady so that the slide has enough momentum to properly eject the spent shell. Ashley held it rather limply, so there wasn't enough momentum. It makes sense. Ashley doesn't know much about guns... and neither does Saddler. No wonder he was thrown off balance by this outcome. Also, Leon fixes the jamming with perfect gun safety; checking the magazine, opening the slide fully and checking the chamber... full attention to detail!
@@kagekun1198 I agree with everything you said, I think Saddler is more skilled with guns than Ashley though. The only reason it messed up was because of Ashley resisting.
17:37 the magazine was not empty, the gun had a ejection failure for limp wristing the gun, it’s something real that happens and it’s really obvious that there was a gun nut in the team. If you look closely at that cinematic when Leon checks the gun the jam casing comes off and the magazine still has bullets.
@@introvertedrobot I dont think is contrived, Ashley is not trained to handle a firearm plus is resisting Saddlers manipulation so when she shoots the robed escorts an ejection failiure happens, at least for me it was a really cool detail. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Limp_wristing

It jams cause that’s what can happen when you limp wrist a shot. It’s not just plot armor for Leon to stay alive. It’s showcasing Ashley not firing the gun properly, so it jams. Insane attention to detail
I covered this in another comment, but you’re right, it wasn’t empty it jammed. However, why Saddler tries to kill Leon and then just leaving him instead of finishing him off when he has the chance is ridiculous.
@Introverted Robot great video none the less. Us gun nuts won't let those things slide. Just be glad you didn't call it a clip, those comments would never end.
Yeah, I've been having a lot of fun with this game. While some mechanics felt a bit inconsistent (aiming and dodging), it was a positive experience overall. Ada Wong was definitely poorly cast. She sounded like a robot. It was like she was talking through a speaker. I can't tell if that's just her terrible acting, a bad microphone, or both. RE4make is probably my second favorite remake, right behind RE1make. I will be playing this game to death.
I can never play the game but I got this tip from other comments in other videos, The Bolt Thrower is weak and only mid range, yes, but its effectively use for stealth since it does not create noises when firing. The other thing that benefits for using the Bolt Thrower is that the bollts are recyclable. You can pick up the bolts back and save up Bullet Ammo for later use, This is good when you're taking down enemies one by one until you got them all or you got spotted. This is also great for killing crows since these birds drops a lot of stuff when being killed and they always fly away when then heard a gun shot. I also think Ada's voice in this game lacks on the tone she delivers on her dialogues. Its not too bad, but also not good either, more like around midway with a little dazzle of negatives. Personally that's my only complain in the game, everything else is fantastic.
Capcom becoming greedy? Or fans wanted to buy resident evil games no matter what? Re 6 still sold despite the hate. Heck even Re 3 remake sold more than the Re 2 OG.
In alot of ways I love the RE4 remake. The RE engine makes the game play super fun and much easier than the original. I find the environments are more expansive and not nearly as dark. Then I absolutely love the new knife system. However, I feel like most reviews don't point out things they should. Like compared to the original that took extra time to explain the story in great detail, the remake glosses over the story and doesn't seem to explain the story nearly as much. Also, the puzzles are ridiculously difficult. The crystal marble and church insignia puzzles were so difficult it took some fun out of it. Granted I'm only in chapter 5 of the remake, but the biggest letdown is the lack of detail to the story. It's still very addictive to play but story matters to me since I played countless hours on the original RE4. I'd give the remake a 8/10.
Some would find it distracting, but as a weeb, I did my playthrough with Japanese VA’s. And I gotta say, it kind of works. Ashley’s voice actor (nezuko from demon slayer) says senorita perfectly to Luis. Leon’s voice actor (minato from Naruto) works so well since everyone remembers his voice as a protector, idk it just works. Ada’s voice actor (mereoleona from black clover) fits really well too. And it seems to give her more depth, maybe in stereotyping but the Asian voice makes her seem more attractive to me. Idk, weeb shit. Try it tho if it sounds interesting. Edit: Forgot to mention Luis (kento Nanami from jujutsu, and jigen from boruto) somehow fits really well too. Maybe it’s because I recognize all of the voices as some of the best in that industry. But listen to Luis talk in Japanese, you might just love it the same as I did.
I just can't get over how mediocre the graphics are. Leon's character model is shockingly bad and he holds his gun like a limp-wristed girl. The lighting and shadows also feel a bit... off. They also changed way too much of the game and bumped the difficulty up so high, it's not even enjoyable. The original game was an absolute blast, but this take on it feels more like a chore. Honestly, I kind of hate it. They took everything that made the original great and crapped all over it.
You, my friend, are not in your right mind, tell me that the graphics in 2005 are better than the one in Remake, it's totally funny. The game should be hard because it's a survival horror, they totally improved the game to a higher level, only there is a problem with the voice actors.
Ehh I have waited for a long time to play the remake. I have probably played every port for RE4. Finally picked it up a few days ago. Re4 remake has been boring and predictable as if they played too safe because of RE3 remake. It is exactly how imagined. No more or less. For people that haven’t played it, I could see this game being awesome. Personally, it is just there.

Capcom didnt even market that heavily with RE 4 compared to other RE games.
