We live on the big island of hawaii, slugs and snails carry the rat lung parasite. Its super bad, It also laughs at all types of washing except veggies being soaked in a salt water brine (SALT CONCENTRATION RAISED UNTIL NO MORE SALT WIL DISSOLVE IN WATER) I don't know if it works on bacteria but would be worth a try.

Now I’m a little grossed out. When the package says triple washed I usually don’t wash it again, sometimes rinse with cold water to perk it up if it’s been in my fridge for a couple of days. Now I’m rethinking the whole prepackaged salad thing.

I do accept sponsorships where they are well aware that I test and give results and give my honest opinion about products. I am rather picky with the sponsorships, I get several emails a week about them and am very selective. If they are a disinfectant it is easy because bacteria results speak for themselves! I don’t make much from TH-cam so other avenues do help me purchase supplies for my channel.

Many soaps are salts of carboxylic acids. Vinegar is a 4% (or more in "cleaning" mixtures) solution of a 2-carbon carboxylic acid. If you mix vinegar with soap, you will partially reprotonate the soap to make lipids (read fats). Keep vinegar separate from soap. Bleach is a different story, as it is alkaline.

I didn't read enough to know if anybody else has mentioned this, but I am wondering how much bacteria would have been removed if you had simply put the dirty cloths in the washer and used only water, and then put them in the dryer and tested afterwards. That could be a better control, because then the only difference would be with and without sanitizer. I am wondering how much simply washing without sanitizer could possibly dilute and clean the cloths, and then how well the dryer would kill any remaining bacteria. Thanks! I appreciate all your testing. Perhaps you have tested this before and I simply haven't taken the time to find it. If so, I apologize in advance.

Nice experiment. It would be good to find out how much oregano is absorbed into the bloodstream and how fast it is metabolized/excreted (half life) I have seen experiments where in petri dish oil of oregano is far superior as an antibacterial than the antibiotic amoxicillin which gives it amazing potential in the treatment of bacterial infections. But we don't know if it makes it into the bloodstream enough to work for oral administration. My guess is that it would work, but it would be good if it was studied more in this area. Dosage would have to be calculated based on this. What I have read is that 2-3 drops of oregano oil shaken with water before ingestion seems sensible, but without a study of this its impossible to know for sure. Also without a study its unclear if the oregano antimicrobial chemical components can make it into spinal/cerebral fluid to tackle harder to treat deeper neurological bacterial/fungal/parasitical infections. If anyone knows a study of this type please reply here and let me know.

I think on the toilet the soap helps the vinegar solution “stick” to the surface and also scrub and rinse away any remaining live bacteria. And because it’s perpendicular to the ground, it doesn’t have as long of contact with the product versus the sink etc. That’s my unscientific theory lol

Lack of stomach acid is more likely to be your issue if you're always 'catching' food poisoning. People with acid reflux don't realize that thay are low in stomach acid, so they take antacids, which depletes acidity even further and leaves you wide open for food borne illness. These experiments prove that washing is futile for removing your imaginary contamination. It remains, even though you believe you did something. Just like face masking is ineffective, but people want to believe it is beneficial, and they cannot be persuaded otherwise.

So, you may see lots of comments and questions from me on older videos such as these. I wish I had known before. I shared on my Facebook so others can see your wonderful videos. The one I wanted to see in this video was right after cleaning the toilet bowl and still having some cleaner on the brush. Good to know that there is only minor bacteria, but in my simple mind, I thought it would have none and the cleaner would have sterilized the brush as well.
