Thanks for your videos! I'd love if you tested essential oils. I see a lot of DIY cleaner recipes that add in essential oils that themselves have anti-microbial properties, and claim they help kill more bacteria when added to cleaners. But I'm skeptical because they're so dilute in the cleaning solutions. That said, sal suds does a good job anyway, so the relative increase in disinfectant properties might be small.
YES! I have tested essential oils and products with essential oils here is the playlist, thanks for watching and commenting! th-cam.com/play/PL6P5xAP9Rj6IsEXEJHWcPmJqb-4MAuXmb.html
I'm basically switching all my cleaners and soaps to Dr. Bronner's (Castile and Sal Suds). It makes GREAT foaming hand soap. Thanks for confirming that castile soap products do a nice job of cleaning. I appreciate you, Linda!
I love sals suds! I use it as laundry detergent too. A little bit goes a long way. Love Dr. Bronner’s products and their commitment to sustainability and equity 💜🌎
Just discovered your channel today, and I am binge-watching. It is useful, and informative without pandering. Thank you for the time, effort and financial commitment to help us the viwers. I also like that your expectations, reasonably accept some bacteria on certain surfaces and not go crazy cleaning, plus the effort should be minimal with best results. ❤
You are very welcome! Right now the little money I get from TH-cam covers most of the cost of supplies, which helps! I try to give the facts and show results!
Speaking of diluted soaps. I make my own foaming dish liquid (Dawn foaming pump container) as we wash our hands a lot in the kitchen sink and full strength just takes forever to rinse off. I think my ratio is about 1/3 dish soap to water if that's something of interest to try.
I do the same thing. I use old Dial pump dispensers with water and several drops of Dawn. It foams up great. I keep them in kitchen and bathrooms. I also have bar soap incase somone want to use that instead, I love Dawn soap 😉
Just FYI my bottle says 1/2 tsp per gallon. Double check yours because you said 1 tsp per gallon in the video which may be why it was too sudsy :) After watching your video i'm definitely gonna start adding tea tree to my Sal's mop mixture. Thanks for your work I really enjoy!
@@FieldOfFocus I am not disappointed, you're great! I'm the flawed one, I am too skeptical, as I have a lot of respect for the power of water, I wonder to what extent without the product, just with water, the result wouldn't be the same :)
Hi! I wanted to ask you a question. I have a small in-home daycare at my house. At the end of every week, I wash all the toys with warm soapy water or sometimes used Dr. Bronner’s liquid Castile soap. Do you have any recommendations for a specific product I should use to disinfect the toys? Something not too harsh, especially since the kids mouth most of these toys but still does the job! Thank you again!
The first thing I would do is check your state's regulations for what are approved cleaners/sanitizers/disinfectants. If Hypochlorous acid is on the list I would use Force of Nature.
I use Spic and Span powder, which is getting harder to find I have to buy it at the hardware store. I like it because no rinsing, the scent isn't great but not horrible. Maybe for a future video?
Have you tested the Mrs. Meyers probiotic multipurpose cleaner? If not, that would be an interesting one to try. I use the concentrated version around the house sometimes and it seems to work fairly well. Great video, I always enjoy seeing your tests and the results. 😊
Tnx interesting videos. I have watched a handful of but I noticed when you hold up empty petri dish look dirty in some looks like tiny bacteria already in dish. If you reusing your petri dishes, how do you sanitize them because some of them still look dirty on the edges inside and different spots that I can see
The dishes are single use. I purchase them sterile. What you may be noticing are the water condensation drops from the temperature change from my fridge to the incubator to warm them prior to testing. If I noticed any dirt on them I would get a refund for sure.
Thanks for your thoughts. Here is a test with just water Can Water & Paper Towels to Remove Bacteria??! - Tested with Petri Dishes th-cam.com/video/BeER2i2Gqw4/w-d-xo.html
Oh, I totally get that! I was just joking around. 😄 Your videos are awesome, and I really appreciate you introducing me to HOCl. I did a ton of research and ended up getting a generator that’s not Force of Nature-I just couldn’t justify those vial subscriptions. Now I’m all set for the next “plandemic” (which is most likely in a couple of months), feeling secure with my misting and fogging game with HOCl. Can’t wait to see more of your videos!
I hope you never stop doing this, I’m obsessed with your channel
I am so glad you are enjoying my videos! There are soooooooo many products to test!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My love for Dr. Bronner's only continues to grow! Thanks for this!
You are welcome! Thanks for watching!
I've been using Sal Suds for 17 years in my cleaning business. Best product for everything!
That is great to hear! I am really enjoying Sal Suds!

Thank you so much for the kind words! I appreciate your continued support!!
love sal suds- have also found it is very soapy, so I cut the amount of sal suds in half- and it lasts forever- great value
It really is so very concentrated! Thanks for watching!
Huge Dr. Bronner fan but haven't tried the Sal Suds, thanks for your video.
You are welcome! I am happy with all my Dr Bronner products so far!

oooh yes.. Laundry test for Sal Suds is in the works!
Nice thank you ❤❤❤

This is another great demo. I'm a Sal Suds user thanks to your testings. Thanks from one Pine state resident to another.

You should have a before and an after with water only , without any product, to compare.
Thanks for the thoughts, sorry to disappoint. Thanks for watching.

I don't like a lot of suds either. Have not tried Salsuds, I'm a Mr Clean or Odoban person.
I have tested those as well! I love testing all sorts of cleaners!

I haven't tested the Probiotic multipurpose cleaner but have tested other Mrs. Meyers products here:

@@FieldOfFocus thank you, I’ll take a look at those. ☺️
Does it make your laminated floor slick? Mrs. Meyer makes mine slick even after drying.
I did not notice any difference in our floors. They were not sticky or slick.
What if you used a brush rather than flat mop to clean your floors? It might help getting rid of more bacteria while using less product.
I haven't tested that so I can't say! Thanks for watching!

Can you try the kurin multipurpose super ionized water if you have that in your country.
Not being funny, but have you tried it? Is this a suggestion?
@@donnajaemoon im just asking nicely. Thanks. Not trying to be funny or anything.
I am unsure if we have that here in the US but I will add it to my viewer suggestion list and look into it! Thank you!
I haven't tried it yet, but have it on my list!
Yes of course. It is on my list! I welcome all suggestions!
I would have done a control of just simple water
