In other words; Shadow Generations with the Adventure Formula? Really cool, but I'd allow boosting on 4 occasions: 1: Doom Wings. They're not from the Adventure Era, so that form's free game. You could equate it to the Speedup thing from Final Hazard. 2: Skydiving. It's just sky diving. 3: Grind Rails, PROVIDED there's no enemies to boost through, which is great because boosting in 2D sections goes against my instincts, ESPECIALLY in Auto-movement like Grind Rails. 4: Doom Morph. That's not boosting.

Instead of not using the boost button or consuming the boost gauge, it should be “Don’t let Shadow have a boost aura around him”, so you can still use the Doom wings

His health doesn't determine when he does that attack- it happens at predetermined points in the fight, with his strikes sequentially building up each time from one to a maximum of four. Once he starts throwing out three strikes, he's vulnerable after dodging them all. After four, the fight loops and he starts from one again. Also, you want to actually hold the attack button instead of mashing after dodging this barrage. You'll get a special Doom Blast against the boss and do a ton of damage.

Fun fact: you can get an S rank on every single stage in the game and almost every boss (the exception being Devil Doom) without boosting at all and, for 42 out 52 stages, without using chaos control a single time. I tried it myself and, honestly, it wasn't even troublesome, aside from both acts of radical highway

I testet this my self and yes you can even acquire almost all S Ranks radikal Highway Akt 1 Akt 2 Impossible without glitches and Sunset high. Oh and without doom Wings also Radikal Highway act 1 with those rings you can JUMP in the cabels to Grind down there is a spring wich Guides you to the bulding

To be fair, I wouldn’t consider the shadow boss fight to be a boost, since it doesn’t record a button press. The game does that on its own. Sadly, I think the eater does still qualify as a boost

I mean, you don't stop spinning for as much as you can to assure that you're only gonna use one spin per time you get it so you could use a couple less spins? Sorry if it's bad I'm very tired. 🥰

Little tip about the colored gem levels; the "no death" requirement ONLY applies after you hit the first checkpoint, until then you can die as many times as you want and still get the gem
