Cool video. I know it's been done before, but yours is the best take I've seen. 3D Land is a very underrated and forgotten game, and these kind of videos make me remember just how unique the levels are.
@@Iron8127 I own every single game in the series, with the sole exception of Investigations 2. But I have still played the English fandub through an emulator, which in my experience is easier than homebrewing a 3DS.
The earliest instance of this completion "mechanic" that I can think of was in NSMB Wii. I've been wary of making any kind of assist appear in other Mario games ever since, even though most of them don't punish you for it lol.
Ah yes, my second favorite 2d 3d mario game
You mean a 3D 2D Mario Game? 2D 3D would be like, an open-world NSMB game or something.
@@AbnormalAbnorman You mean like Bowser's Fury?
@@DrRank No, I think Bowser's Fury is just a 3D 3D Mario game.
@@AbnormalAbnorman Mario Bros. Wonder then?
@@DrRank Wonder might work, yeah.
I have played 3D Land a bazillion times and I never knew about that hidden 1-up in 7-5
I feel like 3D Land is the most underrated 3D Mario game!
So real. I absolutely LOVE this game. I just started playing it yesterday 😭
The timing is too convenient
21:45 oh you used Ceave Gaming footage, so you knew this challenge was already done
As far as I'm aware, though, Ceave didn't do an entire coinless run on one file.
It's a shame your video about Sparks of Hope DLC didn't do as well as you expected
Looking at the analytics, this one seems to be doing better so far
Nice video overall, but dang it saddens me seeing the SOH DLC runs do less success than you thought, RIP.
I just wanna compliment that Cortex impression at the very start it took a moment to realise what he was saying
After getting 3D land off eshop one of the few mario games I actually completed the story for
I would love you to do a dub of multiple Cortex scenes from across the franchise.
Sadly it was just a one-time thing out of necessity.

Starting off with a Twinsanity Gag you know it's gonna be good
Love the video my dude keep up the good work
Nathaniel Bandy does the opposite by collecting all coins.
Not exactly a reliable source of strategy for a coinless run though, is it?
This is gonna lead up to Dr Rank becoming another member of the Minus World, isn’t it?
Thats for the fish 🤤
You can also soft reset the game with l+r+start without using the home menu
@@Wildspeck I did not know that.
alas, if only speedrunners had invented time machines. would be an easy way to set a coinless pb.
If speedrunners invented time machines, they'd stop measuring runs in real time
Ace attorney at sort of the same time?
Interesting...
The Apollo Justice Trilogy even has Autoplay, so I could let it play itself during the active portions of the run.
@@DrRank fun fact, i actually have one of the ds ace attorney games.
Though my brother plays it more often.

Postgame when?
19:35 real
3D Land is pretty solid game all things considered. Jesus loves you!
16:20 wait what- I never knew about that..
Yeah, the shininess goes away if the Assist Blocks even appear. The only way to get them back is to reload your save or start a new game.
