"a few hours later" - i think it means that Lang at that point already finished investigation, arrested Meekins and real culprit with gf escaped. Case was solved before Edgeworth even knew about it.
Ooh, I get it! There'd be spoilers for the rest of the case. Still think they could've said something like: "A few hours later, Kay and I were freed by the police. By then, the case of my kidnapping was solved, hastily and inaccurately. Thus the truth was lost for all eternity." etc
@@PoyoPowerPlant True, true. There is a slight implication that there's some kind of truth anyway--at the very least you'd never know who your kidnapper or Lance's was--but they could've made the fade to black a bit less jarring.
It’s too bad that there are no special bad endings in Ace Attorney investigations 2 prosecutors gambit like there are in the first Ace Attorney investigations miles Edgeworth game when your health bar runs out, in the second game you just get the generic the truth was lost for all eternity whereas in the first it actually has an epilogue that shows WHAT HAPPENED BECAUSE YOU FAILED. I will say that’s the only major point the first game gets over the second, like the second is superior in every other way.
probably because AAI2 has the longest script in the whole series, so writing a different bad ending for every point in the game where you can lose would make it even longer
(these shouldn't be spoilers, it's VERY vague, if I'm wrong let me know, I can't imagine this spoiling anyone) Gotta say the end villain of the 2nd game is more of a victim than a crook Presumably unrelated to this video but *it needs to be said.* I've never heard anyone else feel sympathy for the poor guy utterly driven to insanity, he did bad things but he needs help not imprisonment.
Nah. He's with his father figure who keeps everyone in control and can give him stuff. The other inmates would probably be scared of the both of them to harm them.
the first one's hilariously depressing 😭 gumshoe's so confident he's got it - cue the immediate cut to "thus, the truth was lost for eternity"
But… but… he PROMISED
Thus the truth was lost for all eternity

I like to think that after these endings Phoenix defends the wrongfully accused in court.
@@bardia2807 Well we know he was there for The Kidnapped Turnabout at least
If this was before Turnabout Succession, yes
@@renoxblackthorne9131 Which it was. Succession is in April 2019, and Investigations takes place in March.
Though since the truth was lost "for all eternity", that would imply he failed too.

While I prefer the sequel, I cannot deny that Investigations 1’s unique endings is a massive plus

yeah they just can’t tell you why he can’t continue investigating from there because you haven’t met Lang

The reason the airline name was changed was becaue there is actually a airline in russia called ifly so fhey changed it o go you
The airline was actually founded the same year the original game came out, so it was pure coincidence.
