the electro n co controller kit makes it faster n the throttle has more of a balance

I have five bikes with BBSHD. One of them I used an external controller rated at 120 volts. It is actually 127 volts and it goes 48 mph.

tl:dw answer is no, it doesn't have a torque sensor so you can not make an emtb with a BBS02 / BBSHD / M625. Tongshen tsdz2(B) tsdz8, Toseven DM01 or DM02, Cyc photon series, those have torque sensors and can be used for an emtb. Bafang makes emopeds, not bikes. Cadence sensors suck, period.

EV motors have a flat power curve why it hits hard. EV brushless motor will produce 100% HP at any RPM. It will feel like extremely high torque motor. This is why a Tesla can whip so many higher power gas engines in the 1/4 mile. This is what Toyota is doing with their new hybrid motors in the trucks they have a small EV motor that fills in the lack of bottom end due to turbo lag produces a nice flat power curve.

Battery is massive I think ill get a smaller one, or maybe two small ones put them in parallel. Picked up full suspension aluminum frame bike from a thrift store for $25. It's in really good shape going to go with the mid drive motor. It has rim clamp breaks going to try it see how it stops if it's not good ill pickup some aftermarket disc breaks off amazon. I don't plan on going super fast just cruising around really. I was going to wait but with big tariffs coming lot of this stuff will be too expensive to buy from Amazon.

Note - AVG was preventing me from reaching Johnnynerdout website, via many different sources, so I did some research and learned I had to add it to the exception List, in Settings. Now it works. (Though Amazon is cheaper).

You can buy a cheap good ebike for around £800, or build a rear hub one for around £300 if you have a donor bike
