Great video! Glenn Helen is one heck of a place to test an e moto haha. It’s important to understand that Dons parameter changes come directly from us. What you have now is the latest tune revisions that we passed off to Don who is a trusted builder we work with. Essentially this means that the parameters your enjoying now come stock on all E&C EMX kits.
Why did I not get the latest tune for my kit? He told me that it was your latest tune and it should have been in there. I didn’t want to put you on blast. But since you brought it up, why did I get a very old and not as good tune?
@@aMotoheadsGarageYou didn’t get a “very old tune” you got our standard tune before we updated it. The current tune you have now and that now ships with kits was tested on the YZ-EMX. So to clarify you have the YZ-EMX tune. Which we decided to put on all EMX kits moving forward roughly a week or so after your kit shipped. Sometimes things just happen like that.
liked, been subbed, and have really enjoyed this series so far! best of luck in the rest of sx, and look forward to more videos from this channel! Keep up the good work!
I run an app on my phone called GPS Speedometer. I start it when i leave the garage, and stop it when I'm back, I get milage, average speed, top speed. It's good data to get a better idea. most of us old dirt bike riders have no sense of speed or distance cause simply no bikes ever measured. My stealth bomber clone gets about 125-200cc performance, but I'm also riding streets and trails around town without issue. My biggest limiting factor is range and recharge times. I have a 72v 45ah battery and riding it fast like a dirt bike get roughly 30 miles before I'm limping home.
Great job! What year CRF450 did you use? I want to do the same thing with a 2007 CRF450. I already have everything ordered. Any idea what the final weight is? 👍
Nice videos. You got a great deal on the roller. Did you have other costs to get it ready like tires, chain and sprockets or wheel/suspension bearings? Those would push you over $5k but still great.
No, I have tires and other parts. The linkage bearings were dry but I just greased them. I’m sure they will need to be replaced soon enough but not at this point.
Hey man, you are straight up awesome. I’m limited on time but you’re doing all the things I would do if I had time and it’s amazing to watch. Also what’s your sons name I watch supercross and want to root for him in that LCQ. Lastly I just want to add I have a completely modded surron x and my total watt hours for a 60x60 chi max battery is about the same as yours. Obviously my surron is not meant for Moto but trail riding in imaging it will last much longer being lighter weight. Do you think you could have electron co build a battery closer to total 5000 watt hours and fit in there? Also what’s the total weight of that bike?!!! Sorry for the long comment 😂
Makes sense that it won’t pull since the stark has a 14200 rpm motor! All the diy would need is to find a rpm motor that’s comparable and will have that high pull. That and be able to do a comparable battery since they use a 360v battery I believe
@@aMotoheadsGarage says 6000 rpm with field weakening. Probably can go higher just may burn out “sooner”. I plan to use a sotion fw04, similar size and rated for more power and rated for I think 9000 rpm peak. Probably can hit 10k. Not bad for $685 shipped

4 months since your last video, can’t wait for your next one. You yourself have a great channel. 🤘🏾🤘🏾🤘🏾
Looking forward to more videos. Very inspiring, Thank you.
I’m really looking forward to the next video. The performance testing will be fun.
Oh! and please note that the lightning charger requires 220v to get the 30amps which makes it a screamer. 🤟
On 110v; 17amps is about it. 👌
How do I plug it into 220v? It only came with a 110 style plug. I would love to test on 220v.

Thanks 🤘🏾. I will definitely use that app.
Really enjoying this series. I just really wanna build a larger moto and these videos inspire me!
Awesome. That inspires me to continue.

It’s a 2003 frame. I’m planning on doing all the specs on the next video.
Very cool e build.
Thanks. It’s one of the most fun bikes I’ve ever ridden.
This is great
Thanks. Planning on racing it in an AX race soon!

Son is “Doc Smith”. I will have more performance specs in next video and weight.
That dude in the pink and blue FXR gear looks fast as shit
Did you mean “fat as shit”?
😃

Yeah, I was wondering what their max RPM was.

@@andrewkitchens3917 does it have gear reduction?
@@aMotoheadsGarage yes. It’s very similar to the qs138 .
