i know this is very much a long shot any chance at a painting video with your colours for the new lotr box set i have all your paints but not sure how to go about it :D

People talking about the focus.. but what about the model? I have bought this kit, and the model is .. tricky. The front, back and characters left arm with tree bit is a nightmare to put together. As someone who 3d prints everything they paint, this is my first venture into buying a kit model, and am a little put off buying the other models. It did however clean up nicely after removing from the sprue so I have mash it together and filled the gaps best I can.. looking forward to following the video tutorials and see how to get the most from these paints.. I’m a speed paint (slap chop) only guy so this is a big learning curve. Even bought a H&S ultra 2024 to begin this journey!

As a few commenters have said, the color doesn’t seem quite right for Ultramarines. However, the techniques and video itself are fantastic anyway :)

Would have been nice to share an actual speedpaint head. I’ve found doing something like bugmans glow all over, then a Zenethal with something like Kislev flesh. Shade with reikland flesh shade can give really nice natural results in about 30 seconds of work. May be helpful to someone. (Using shades through an airbrush is also amazing for making nice skin effects carroburg crimson is my fave) Videos like this can bum out newer painters because they wonder why they can’t get this result in 10 minutes, it’s admittedly obviously not a very long paint job but I wish creators would be a bit more transparent and realistic and just show what they actually do in 10 minutes rather than here’s a 10 minute paint job with extra steps I did to show what you can add so it’s actually not a 10 minute paint job.

For the coconut husk how do you get to be secured down and what do you do to seal it? Ive tried super glue(loctite) on the base, added the husk with leaves, and added a thin super glue (zap ca)on top with it begining to sizzle and smoke the next day

I've always love the *idea* of miniatures.. and up till I was 20 I had an amateur level paint skill .. but then I developed (lets call it less fine detail motor skills) *aka* it rhymes with Parkinson's ... I love this approach... but I see (and this isn't a criticism) that *all* painting in videos in general require a level of "ability" of.. "control"... is there *any* way that can be made easier? I *know* that's a big ask.. and I'm sorry for putting that on you..

That brush was beautiful. What size was it and if it was sable any reason you use metallics on it?

While I do really like the color scheme, it does not read blueberry to me.

I would call that a lunar wolf or an alpha legionary before, way to green tinted for an ultra, be try well done but he isn’t one of my beloved Ultramarines

Cork sheets make wonderful asphalt and it breaks in the same way, aling broken parts to get deep cracks or use it on the whole base for less war torn streets. Love it❤

I could spend all day and it wouldn't be anywhere near as good as that! Can't wait for Christmas day when I get to use my new Squidmar paints and wet pallette!

I get what you are going for...saves time, interesting blends and such, however its lacking the true blue for ultramarines

I mean, if you build it, and prime it, isnt it basically done. Gotta have something to glue together while waiting for paint to dry

The technique itself hown is good, but the colours are just wrong. Just don't call it an Ultramarine. I enjoy a tealish highlight on them, but this just highlights that there is no proper blue in the paint sets. If someone is planning to do an Ultramarines army, it is reasonable to expect them to buy a bottle of blue.

Body and gear, ten minutes. Head, two hours and then reprime and start again because you hate it.
