I used to follow your guide for dark angels (using contrast dark angels, warplighting, moor green and an pale yellow, I used dorn yellow) now I am 5000pts into the army and several side armies with it I get a new guide that goes along with the new paints I bought recently from a pack sold by a really cool TH-cam channel.
Just finished painting my first miniature and are now watching this video. Only after painting made me realized that these youtubers brush control is insane lmao. Swift yet wtih such precise precision. Crazy.
Great. My Salamanders will love this. But how do I paint yellow, Lukas? I want to paint yellow Wraith-Constructs like the alternative colour scheme on the boxes.
Two ways: either glaze with a tinned down version of your highlight color 2: mix more in between colors, so do mixes with smaller transition of tones and add more layers.
Hey man, we're testing out different sizes and shapes for potential Squidmar mk2 brushes, so unfortunately it's not brushes available yet since they are custom one offs from the factory :)
I’m would not order their paint sets… it’s been 2 weeks and they haven’t even shipped it yet, and customer service does not email you back… terrible experience.

I just painted up a Salamander using this tutorial. Result is very nice, if I say so myself. Thanks allot! 👍
Btw, I love this channel. This is what got me onto Squidmar in the first place. Love that yall have a dedicated channel to it now!
This makes me want to paint.... I just love this style. I need to give it a try. Great job Lucas.
Love the content! And the paints are amazing! Would love a Steel NMM guide in the future, cuz they are realy helpful :)
I absoloutely love how the OSL looks on this
Give that man a cookie
I like how he's pointing at the OSL, like "look how the heretics burn brother!"

Takes time to get the brush control, but if you practice practice practice, that time goes by quickly
and remember that a lot of the footage is sped up - not every TH-cam mini painter is slapping down paint that fast!
2 requests - a standard red eldar mini for my friend, and a raptors space marine scheme for me maybe ? :)
Love your OSL techniques, it really does look like the model is being lit by fire or lava etc.
I got your paint sets and palette delivered to me today, looking forward to trying them out! :)
Would be nice to see you take it further by smoothing out all the roughness
great tutorial Lukas ! greetings from Poland :D
I would kill for a similar tutorial for Alpha Legion!! Some NMM would be amazing.
I think you've just given me a paint scheme for my Vespids Kill Team. 😁
Any suggestions on how to base them? Like lava or smth?
Stunning, once again Lukas. But this is Steve an steve wants to know why no OSL on the Aquila? Hmm Steve says you are almost as good as him Lukas :P
Can you do the tutorial for painting blue? I like the color selections in your sets, but can't figure how to paint vibrat blue. Thanks!

Right as I bought more models to paint for my Salamander army
Please could you do a Tyranid theme with your paint sets 🙏
Did Squidmar ever do a demo on how to paint the mini from the Dark Future Set?
It's coming in a month or so
Can you do classic Thousand Sons with these sets?
Please do nmm silver
We're working on it! :) give us a few weeks, we do one video per week!
@ no worries, love your channel
In the grim dark future, there is only… extreme highlights on your battle worn armour
What if the Rangdan did their mind control schtick on the Tyranids ?
Hi Lucas, how would you smooth out the transitions so it looks less sketched? The mid-tone green + medium?

@squidlybits1985 thank you!! And thank you again for the guide! Have a great day!
Someone named Steve is going to have their mind blown
It is very nice now add your lava base
Give Lukas all of the cookies!
Hi, are all your highlight layers done in a single coat?
Steve!
one day i want the battle of the Steve !!! only the best steve will survive
Brilliant video Lucas, really instructive and a great end result.
What kind of brush is used in the video, doesn't look like the squidmar brushes?

Is there a technique to make 70 % mix of one colour and 30 % of another ? I have to admit i'm struggling to judge how much paint I have on my brush :/
Pre mix it on your wet palette
can u do this with the stormcast eternals
we did a tutorial a few weeks back, both copper and gold
What did i do to deserve this?
/Stewe
you know
What?! No "Grand Revel!"?
Anyone know the song 2:06
I would like to know that too, also the song @ 6:56 - they have good B roll music.
I followed this guide for my orks - now they're wearing power armour.... Send help
Free upgrade!
Wow. That looks super.
Day 1: asking for conquest miniatures
Of course you can do this without an airbrush but it will suck
@@moose56 yes
@ chapeau 🤣
Very nice 😊
That AB needs some TLC with all them bubbles in cup
We give it backflow to mix the paints in the cup:)
What?
That’s umm, ok whatever.
