This is a channel of lost recordings of children's stories; mostly from cassette tapes; mostly by Enid Blyton; mostly abridged audio plays.
There's something special about listening to stories. Oral story telling is hard-wired into who we are as humans, tied to how we develop and learn.
I grew up listening to stories on cassette tapes, there was a magic in those moments that TV couldn't match. Sometimes you just what a great story, told by great artists and to lie back and relax. Perfect bedtime listening for adults and kids alike.
I've kept all the tape nosies in for that 80's/90's nostalgia hit. Good luck explaining that to the kids.
Fully unabridged versions are available elsewhere, most remain commercially available. As far as I know, these old recordings are no longer commercially available. For some the copyright may even have been lost. I will of course remove any if copyright holders request. I make no profit from sharing these and only do it as a public service.
