Fatty's new skill of ventriloquism keeps the rest of the find outers amused; and Mr Goon is rater confused. But why did Mr Fellows run out into the night before he was burgled? And just what was he carrying? Fatty is able to put his talent to better use when the youngsters find themselves in entangled in a thrilling adventure.
This audio theatre reading/dramatisation was adapted by John Lewis and performed by Eric Flynn, Judy Bennett, Nigel Pegram, Jonno Flynn, Summer Strallen, Paul Grunert, Lola Brookes, Robert Waitaing, and Joe Vasallo. It is abridged with a 69 minute running time, but the story still develops well. These shorter dramatizations are ideal for 'reading' in a single sitting and are great for relaxing bedtime, or car journeys with kids. Released in 1996 by Tempo Children's Classics (Tape number 221057).
This is shared from a recording of a cassette tape, so lots of old-fashioned tape noises and hiss, but still very listenable and an enjoyable telling for childhood nostalgia and relaxation or for excitement in new generation of imaginative listeners.
Man..I enjoy these so much. Never listened to these stories as a child, but I devoured books on tape. To this day I love a good audiobook. Cheers!

Another great share, thank you Rene. I've never heard or read the Mystery series before but quite enjoyed this. I will have to keep my eyes out for second hand books of the series.
Hope you find some. I don't think they work so well as these shorter play as they have a bit more to the plot and characters that the other Blyton series. So the full books are really worthwhile.

Hi, I am very excited because i've been searching for these stories for a long time. As I am visually impaird audio books mean a lot to me and I remember listening to this when I was in school. Do you have anymore tempo children's classics of the find outers series like the mystery of the vanished prince and the mystery of holly lane. I've got all the other 6 dramatisation books.

when you think how things have changed...can you imagine a childrens writer even wanting to call one of her charachters 'fatty' if i had £1 for every time they say 'fatty' i would be well off.
