This is the *best* reading of this particular story, in my opinion anyway.
Lots of different voices. I just love it and come back to it time and again.

Agreed. Unabridged readings are great, but there's nothing like these play-like recordings to bring life to the mysteries.

I just can’t get past the impression that it’s actually the same voice actor speaking all roles - they simply piched his voice for the different roles. Plus there are hardly any sound effects and even the dogs bark seems to be voiced by the speaker.
In that regard I prefer the Famous 5 tapes a lot more.

The new versions on Amazon are good ..but just dont cut it....though Joshua Higgot does a good job on the mystery series ...kiki the parrot and the clan are s great listen to nod off to sleep with
