Couple of Kiwi Boys who love to go out on crazy wild adventures in the New Zealand outdoors!
Unfortunately Arved has jumped ship for a job opportunity in Ireland, so it'll be Tasman holding down the fort for a while! But don't you worry there'll be plenty of fun missions and ridiculous shenanigans in the years to come 😁

Sometimes the hunt just doesn't go to plan | Deer Hunting New Zealand
Rarely, the hunt really doesn't go the way you intend it to. I have a list of priorities in the hills: my personal health/safety comes first; secondly if I decide to take an animal, I want it to be as humane of a kill as possible; and thirdly comes meat recovery. On this hunt after some miscalculation an animal escapes, unfortunately missing the second priority. Follow along in this mid winter hunt to see the disappointment, followed up by another couple of deer making for a mixed experience out in the hills.
Thanks for watching :)

29 Day Solo Adventure in New Zealand | Catch n Cook Doubtful Sound | Part 4
มุมมอง 20K14 วันที่ผ่านมา
Part 4 of my epic fiordland trip is finally here! Apologies for the gap in vids, after having some computer issues with my travel laptop whilst overseas. It's good to be back home in NZ, editing on my big laptop is a dream 😂. In this episode I explore Doubtful, Thompson and Bradshaw sounds before heading over the Wilmot pass to Lake Manapouri. Be sure to check out the previous 3 vids in this se...
29 Day Solo Fiordland Adventure | 560km in my 3.6m Rubber Boat | Part 3
มุมมอง 33K2 หลายเดือนก่อน
In Part 3 of Tasman's epic 4 week boating trip in New Zealand's most remote region, Fiordland, he does plenty of fishing, builds a crayfish pot from scratch and does a spectacular dive off the rugged coastline. Actually a bit of rain in this episode after almost two whole weeks without, heading from Breaksea Sound, into Dagg and up to Doubtful Sound. In the previous two episodes of this trip I ...

In part 2 of Tasman's 29 day solo mid winter trip in Fiordland New Zealand, I go for a tops hunt in some spectacular mountains, and find a small herd of chamois of all things! Then I spend a few days at supper cove hut, fish for flounder and blue cod, watch wildlife and have supper with some friendly boaties, before heading up to Breaksea Sound. Super lucky to have some unusally dry and incredi...

In part 1 of Tasman's epic 4 week mid winter trip to fiordland, he pops across from Garden Bay boat ramp in Southland, to Dusky Sound, via Puysegur Point in his trusty wee inflatable boat Red Current. Middle of winter, July 10 - August 7, it was very surprising how warm it was! Bitta diving, fishing and hunting and eating in this episode, hope you enjoy and stick around for the next 3 videos in...
Mid Winter Tahr and Wallaby Hunt | 7 Days Alone
มุมมอง 16K4 หลายเดือนก่อน
Middle of June Tasman goes for a nice week long solo trip to the Canterbury high country, spotting plenty of game and having a few good close stalks. Opting in the end to shoot just a wallaby, this one's more of a "looking at the pretty tahr" rather than a bomb up 😂. But some very fun stalking, cold weather and great camp cookups made for an excellent all round trip! Cheers for watching and sti...

7 Day 2024 Roar Trip, but it's actually a goat catch n cook
มุมมอง 11K7 หลายเดือนก่อน
Mid April Tasman sets off for a good week long roar hunt, with high hopes and a packful of food. Unfortunately low deer numbers, but still had a great time out there, stumbling across a tasty goat, numerous sheep and a few cool stags just across the river on the private side 😂. Don't worry, we'll get onto the stags one day! ...unless? Thanks for watching!
Fishing and Diving in Akaroa Harbour | surprise escapee salmon!

Tasman heads out into Akaroa harbour early April with some new friends and their new old boat, having a shot at some kahawai, leading to a surprise phat salmon! Then we jump in the drink for some paua and spearfishing action. Also Red Current is back in action after getting her repaired, a few tiny pinhole leaks in the floor but nothing serious! Thanks for sharing your experience. Good learnings for sure. I'm going to try and get an accurate copper bullet for hunting. I've tried the ttsx for my 308 but the groups were too large, so I'll give the Maker projectiles a go.
Great stuff Tasman
Awesome hunt mate. Most of us have had something similar happen at one point or another. It happens! Thanks for sharing. Looking forward to the butchery vid. Cheers
Awesome to see you up in the hills again, mate! I felt for you losing that deer, it was easy to see it affected you and shows the love and respect you have for the animals you hunt. Was great to see you go home with a victory afterwards and 2 deer on a 9km carry-out! What a machine! Thanks for taking us along for another hunt Tasman! Love your work! 😁
Cheers Tasman. ✌🏽
Churr the bro 🤙🏽
Hey bro if your ever doing another mission I'd be keen as to come 🙏🤣I've got all the gearz and all I want to do is dive 🫳
Hey Tasman, impressive stuff mate. My 4 year old and I love watching your vids. Just wondering what brand of hand mincer you use. Cheers
So impressed with how unfazed you are with inconveniences, have you ever had any major setbacks? Thoroughly enjoyed the whole series, it would be a dream of mine to do even a day or two alone in Fiordland living off the land and sea.
Great to meet you and happy we could help! Love your videos. Simon and Nikiya Oh and thanks for the cray!
Thanks Simon and Nikiya! Very much appreciate the ride 🙏. You're welcome, the least I could do 😊
Take care of your knees mate
Cheers mate, I'm trying!
Hard to put into words how cool that whole trip was. You're a legend.
Thans Steve, it was incredible 😊
So epic. Well done
I'm IMPRESSED Tasman well done you what do you do to keep fit and what do you as a job ( nosey bugger ) all the best for 25 Cheers JC
Thanks very much! Haha I rely on youthful exuberance and an active lifestyle for fitness 😂😂, and I'm a builder/joiner by trade, but just enough to go hunting all the time! Happy new year 😁
@@NZWildAdventures I'm now 77 years old and still carry my own deer out although I think they are getting bigger LOL

Amazing videos, I really enjoyed this series, Your attitude and energy are infectious. Please keep it up, this series highlighted so much beauty of where you live, and what a fun and resourceful person you are. I love all the hiking around in flip-flops. Great work, please keep it up!
Wow thanks so much 😊 I really appreciate your comment! Such a beautiful country aye. Plenty more to come, thanks for watching!
What was the water situation around the hut or did u have to carry water in from the bottom of the valley?
From memory there was a rainwater tank, but not 100% on that 😂
How long did it take to get to motunau island
Round 10 mins, bit choppy 👍
Love your adventures, Tasman. I want to do that😊

Amazing ❤
Lots of little bushcraft tips hidden here mate great watch
Another amazing video! Thanks for sharing your adventures with us!
TASMAN that was a incredible trip you did one month in Fiordland is no small feat especially in a little dingy like yours but that was just a really enjoyable and amazing trip by far my favourite episodes you have done so far I'd be lying if I said I wouldn't miss this mini series but I'm glad you filmed it because it made for some insane content. 23:22 Leopard Seals look really beautiful but also quite psychopathic Lol 😂 I heard they can be quite aggressive and have even been known to pull people under and don't come up which is quite terrifying. 25:05 what was that in your hair? I thought it was some type of stick insect but I'm still not sure 😅 26:47 it wouldn't be Fiordland if it didn't rain but 7 days of rain in 28 or 31 days is quite good and in winter! 40:19 I actually think I have same brand of noodles as you spicy noodles that I used to eat when I still lived in Southland I got 21 packets for Christmas which is one of ky favourite presents that I got this year. Deep Cove is actually a familiar name for me because my previous school Drummond had field trips every year or something for people in 7th and 8th grade and they would go to Deep cove for a few days and meet up with other classes from different schools I never went there but I never did well in social situations much though 😂. Well that's me done for this comment I do apologise though for being 4 days late wished I watched it on release day but hope you had a awesome Christmas with whoever you may spend it with and have a Happy New Year too! Cheers mate.-regards Adam
Wow thanks so much Adam 😊! I had such a great time and it's comments like yours which truly make it a pleasure to put the content together. Hoping to get back in there this year so stayed tuned for more fiordland scenes 😁. I'm so glad this leopard seal was just chilling 😂 can you imagine if he'd jumped into the boat! Just a twig.... I hope, I hate stick insects being near me 😂😂 Yeah weather was spectacularly good, was hoping July would be a good month, a mate even called it, in June 😂. Hahaha can't beat a good pack of noodles 😂, Indomie are the best, great present 😂. It's so cool they do school trips in there, there was a group there when I passed through actually. Shame you never went but yeah I totally understand social situations not being your jam, totally empathize with that 😂. Thanks very much for the comment and happy new years! Also no worries for the "late" comment, it's nice to have em spread out a bit, been almost overwhelming lately 😅😂 Cheers!
Well, its 1.10am and iv just finished the last vid,i watched them all back to back, totally enjoyed them, thank you for all to work put into them Tasman.keep well bro.
😂😂 that's awesome, happy to hear it! My pleasure, thanks for watching Jim!
Amazing
Awsome again tasman.thanks mate.great to see you enjoying life to the full.
Very cool as usual thank you tasman.
Awesome
Awesome viewing bro. all of it. sooo captivating. and love your chat!!
Amazing trip! Your outdoor skills and bravery in the boat are incredible. Amazing footage, what a beautiful land we live in! Blessed to the max.
Amazing and inspiring stuff!
Anything I say is just going to be a repeat of what everyone else has said. Absolutely epic trip Tasman, the way you adapt to any situation and always see the good side of things is something you should be proud of. Thanks for the time and effort you put into planning and documenting your adventures. Hope the channel starts making it all worthwhile. Might see you in the hills one day.
Thank you, I really appreciate it 😁. It's my pleasure, makes it all worth it with feedback like yours 😊. Hoping to be able to do this full time soon, would be a dream come true 🤞 Yeah mate, cheers!
Mate you are next level. 13 hr walk in, then out comes the mincer, sausage maker, wok, smoker, colander, wood chopping board. even fly ins don't go to that extreme. unbelievable.
Haha cheers Andrew! I was certainly feeling it for the next couple days 😂😂
Hey Tasman enjoyed watching and hearing about your adventure. You are most resourceful and adventurous. It’s hard to think of places as remote, spectacular, and full of wild life as our Fiordland.
Thanks Scott! I'm glad you enjoyed the series :). Fiordland is so incredible, reckon I'll revisit where we went in 2016 next, Doubtful to Milford!
