You're an absolute machine, Tasman! I normally average 8km for a hunt. Here you are again, double if not tripple the distance with a hefty carry out. Very inspiring! Thanks for another awesome adventure 👍🏻
Nice to see the eye surgery is having a positive effect, epic pack weight, not sure if you're strong and fit or just bloody determined. Put most of us to shame.
Yeah I'm thrilled with the eyes tbh, it's pretty cool 😁. Feeling pretty unfit after a couple months off the hill actually but definitely got a good amount of determined-trudge in me 😂. Cheers mate 👌
Love your videos Tasman. You show how accessible hunting can be if you are prepared to do a bit of mahi and you don't need to spend a fortune on all the camo gear, etc. Also love the little interesting asides that you include in your videos, haven't seen any one else do that the way you do, definitely my favourite hunting channel. Keep it up.
Wow thank you so much! That's awesome feedback and glad to hear you're enjoying the vids 😁. That is one of the things I love about this channel, a good time outdoors absolutely doesn't have to be prohibitively expensive :). Plenty more to come, thanks Craig!
Bro, I'm 95% sure those mushrooms were morels. They're really rare and a delicacy. They often seem to grow in burn sites for some reason. I've never found any myself. Man that was a good shot with that second deer on the run. Damn.
Excellent vid there Tasman, my knees hurt just watching.. Could you please do a video about the stuff you take in the boat when you go long distance adventuring in it? I loved the Stewart Is series and would like to do some small boat camping myself this summer. Maybe just from Bluff over to Patterson inlet not the full circumnavigation...
Cheers mate! Haha that downhill was defs pretty nasty 😅. Sure I'll have a think about that! Thinking of doing a D'Urville trip this summer so may make something along those lines then, thanks for the idea 😁. Would absolutely recommend it, but make sure you're well prepared with a good forecast 👌 Cheers mate!
AWESOME RUSH -Good to see you down TWO BEAUTYS - the adrenaline shakes was good to observe - Its the best part of the entire thrill and experience -Good Job -Respect to ya.
Amazing Tasman, super inspiring as always 🔥 Really cool about the laser eye surgery, I want to get that done one day too - would make my surfing and hunting missions much clearer! Keep up the great work + I'll try write you some music this summer 🎶
Thanks mate! Absolutely recommend the eyes, such a big upgrade 😂. Cheers mate, sorry I will reply at some point, things been hectic lately hardly had time to think 🥴
@@NZWildAdventures no rush at all. I'm the same. Packing life to the max at the moment! Hunting and music weekend for me this weekend. All the best for the Tahr mission, looking forward to that video.
Been following you since you started and its been cool watching you grow in your hunting capers tasman . Awesome bro . I've hunted since I was 7 yrs old but knees are crapping out now . But I still get out for a hunt but I take a meat carrier ( friend , nephew , quad bike 😂) now . Keep up the hunts m8 👍🏼👍🏼
Thank you! That's awesome, glad you've been enjoying the vids 😊. Ahaha good thinking, sometimes I could use a helper to carry it all out too 😂. Cheers mate!
Cheers bro! Yeah been there twice now, seen plenty both times 👌. The river crossings were a little deeper than I was expecting, but nothing too serious, may just walk upstream on the way in next time.
Hi Tasman. Love the videos. Takes me back about 50 years. Am about to have an operation on my eye next week. You have given me confidence thanks. However the music bro. Would you consider another option. It's not one I enjoy before sleep 😢😅
Hi Bruce, thanks for watching, good luck for the operation, I'm sure it'll be life changing 😁. Haha cheers for the feedback, let me know of you have any suggestions re music choices!
You could make some putties from an old pair of socks, jst cut the toes off, only need to cover the tops of your boots to keep out the gravel when river crossing
I'm a fan of the heart, but really don't like the taste or texture of liver 😂. Heart tastes just like regular meat but quite iron-y. Livers definitely good for you, but ain't nobody got time for that 😂. Thanks for watching, glad you're enjoying the vids 😁
Cheers mate! I guess there's a few reasons, partly to clean up the site for when other people come to the area, also to help it decompose and keep it away from scavengers at least for a bit. I'm sure the pigs will dig it up at some point but it'll break down a lot faster and keep the flies off it for a good while. I'm sure there's other reasons too like disease spread and general stank 😂. It's generally best practice where practicable, but more important when it's close to tracks or huts, and especially important to move it away from waterways. Hope that helps!
Huh.. I thought it was an Arved week? Did he lose the will? I did notice that he'd lost the lifestyle hair in the last video ;-). I guess that means a bonus Tasman episode. There should be a hierarchy of Tasman dislike descriptions. Nothing seemed to be "disgusting" in this video but it was "unpleasant" and "not what I signed up for". It wouldn't be fun if there wasn't some pain. It was good to see your laser eyes working at peak efficiency. The old eyes would have definitely been slower to shoot and you'd probably only have got one of them. But it was funny to see those deer on the river flats practically laughing at you for shooting their cousins higher up and 10km into the hills. There shouldn't ever be 2min noodles added to the cooking segment. Adding venison doesn't lift them to the status of food. Another great video. So sad that you have a real job too. Monday's sigh.
Haha nah he's got plenty but he's still working on finding the sweet spots, not quite the same as here in nz 😅. Bloody full time work too eh 😭. Hmm that's a good idea, maybe I should write down a list of annoyances to pick from, surely Disgusting would be top of it 😂. The eyes are honestly so good 😁, though part of me does wish I didn't see those ones lower down 😂. Aha, I didn't realize your disdain for the instant noodles 😉, I'll have to hide them better next trip 😂. Thanks Paul! Yeah working sucks 😂, though just off on a nice 6 day trip in the morning, first multi day trip in 3 months 🥴
You do eat a lot of meat! Are you on a paeleo diet or something? Patience is something you learn as you get older and can't walk as far or as high. All those deer low down! But as you said, its all about the adventure. Good job!
Yeah hahaha not much beats a good steak 😋. Not paleo, just a lot 😂 One of those lower down deer woulda been nice for sure, but couldn't pass up a good opportunity up top 😅. Cheers Stu!
Awesome video!! Would love to see a live field butchery vid too!
Thanks mate! Sweet I'll have a think about filming one next time 😁

Man that was a good shot with that second deer on the run. Damn.
No way! That would be epic, they looked so not-edible 😂.
Thanks! Needed to be done otherwise she'd have been gone 😆
Actually no, just looked again, that's a false morel and they can be poisonous. Jeez don't trust some guy on the internet 😬
Your a awesome hunter love your content
Thank you 😊
Great video, need more like this but all of your videos are you
Unreal! Such amazing stamina and another excellent vid thanks.

Cheers mate! Definitely getting pretty warm in the air, not so much underwater yet though 😅
Enjoyed that, thanks Tasman!

Cheers! Yeah that's a great idea, 3 is not quite enough on certain occasions 😆
Amazing video Tasman.

Mean vid bro awesome 👌

Great work tasman.
as usual great video tasman keep them coming
Cheers bro 😁
Good on you for getting laser. My only regret getting it done was not doing it sooner. Life changing
Thanks, it's pretty incredible aye 😁
Top effort! That’s a good load, you need to take a gate opener with you 😂
Thanks Tony! Those gates sure get real old after the first few 😂
Yes to the butchery video!!!!!!
Thanks Tasman! Another cool well put together vid. Pleased to hear the Eye surgery went well. Cheers Dude.
Thank you! Cheers for watching, the eyes are soo good 😁
Thanks for another mean hunting experience Tasman, awesome!

Cheers mate! Will work on one in the next few trips 😁
Awesome effort mate! It's a great spot in there, always plenty of animals if you're willing to walk upstream of the gorge.

Awesome video.
Bloody good vid that
Thanks Matty!
Champion
haha the worst thing about that trip is knowing you have to do all them gates by yourself, lol
It quickly becomes not such a fun game anymore aye 😂
Awesome vids bro love watching south island hunting vids. Love the scenery compared to what we get up north. What area in Canterbury is this?
Cheers mate! Glad you're enjoying em, can't beat the mountains down here for sure. Couple hours from ChCh 👍
You could make some putties from an old pair of socks, jst cut the toes off, only need to cover the tops of your boots to keep out the gravel when river crossing
Definitely considered that before! Perhaps I should 😂
Solid carry bro nice
Hey Tasman, Do you ever eat the heart or Liver ? are they full of nutrients ? Love watching your adventures all the way from Indonesia

Heck yeah Wildman ! Do you know a kiwi dude named Murray Hounsell ? This is Gibbs - OTTO N C U S A.
No I haven't heard of him, thanks for watching!
WOW.🤓👏👌
Deadly 🔥

That was a good game aye! Thanks for watching 😁
Take care of your knees mate
Cheers mate, I'm trying!
Yes some butchering videos would be great.
Nice 1. I know exactly where ya are. I cut that tree down during that fire
Cheers mate! Oh that's interesting, pretty cool how that top forest survived, must be in part thanks to your efforts 😁
