Tasman your courage, resourcefulness, attitude and energy are so admirable. I love all your content but this series has been breathtaking, nek level awesome. You were blessed with great weather and didn't waste a moment of it. I love the drone footage, cray pot, cooking segments and your explanations of how you managed to power your gizmos. Like you I feel compelled to explore so find you very inspirational, look forward to shaking your hand someday. Big fan.
Thanks so much! Really appreciate your kind words 😁. Super stoked you enjoyed this trip as I did! It's comments like yours that make making these vids so worth it 😊. Thats epic, possibly see ya out there one day! Cheers 😁
Well that was a fantastic wrap-up. Trust me - when you're a lot older you will look back on these trips with both nostalgia and deep gratitude. Well done for making the most of the chance you had here.
Cheers Philip! Yes I'm sure you're right 😊 already I'm super glad to have our earliest videos still there to look back on and bring those memories back afresh 😁. Thanks for the comment!
Thanks very much Ken 😁. Gotta keep some secrets eh haha 😂, nah growing up remote in the Marlborough Sounds with awesome capable parents certainly helps 😊. My pleasure, thanks for watching!
You're a bloody legend Tasman. The courage you have for taking on NZ,s most wild coast line in the "Red Current" is truly amazing. Love your kiwi ingenuity shown throughout your adventure. Thankyou for sharing this with us all . 🦾
Recently come across your videos...unreal bro!wouldn't be many around that would be this comfortable with the missions you are doing.inspiring mate!Definitely a standout amongst all these catch n cook type videos aswel, churrr!
The Weka was so enterprising - I think we underestimate how intelligent birds are. The leopard seal was as big as your boat - I think he would have tipped you over to have a closer look if he was given the opportunity! Cray pot proven again. Good judgement 3 litres - luck? The weather goods were truly with you - winter is the time to go there - counter intuitive it is. Thanks so much for sharing your courageous and epic journey Tasman. Great viewing and such an amazing place. A lot of editing also!! Wishing you a great 2025
Gotta wonder if old mate weka ended up there intentionally though 😂 they are so smart aye, I grew up around the damned things, cheekier than Kea I reckon! Such funny birds, I'm glad we have em though 😂. So glad that leopard seal didn't jump in! Would've gone from zero to a hundred real quick 😂. I figured once within Doubtful I could relax on the fuel rationing aye, what's a simple 20km paddle 😅😂. It's my pleasure, stoked you enjoyed the trip! 45 hours on this vid 😆. Hope you have a great new year too! Cheers 🤙
Absolutely epic series, I really enjoy how you put your videos together. Any adventure you seem to be so familiar with the area and know it so well like most of us drive the streets we live.
Thanks so much! Stoked you like the style of the vids 😁. The outdoors is where I'm most comfortable! Though I'm actually hopeless at navigating around town 😂
Tasman many thanks. Such a vicarious encounter. Your observations of Flora & Fauna coupled with your interpretations simply draws us in alas wishing for more. Merry Christmas old boy. Health Wealth & Happiness for 2025 and beyond. Best Wishes Sam.
It's my pleasure Sam 🙏, stoked you enjoyed watching! Hoping to go on a good number of trips in the new year so stay tuned for hopefully a more regular upload schedule 🤞. Merry Christmas! Cheers mate you too 🤙
Great work Tasman, what an epic adventure, wish I had the freedom and self belief that you do. Your adventures are awesome, they take me away from life for a while to the wonders of nature when I cant get away, thanks. Keep it up
Brilliant Tasman, what a mammoth trip. But I guess it's what we've come to expect from your numerous adventures - you really don't do 'ordinary'!! For all that I'm amazed your poor banged-up little inflatable is still up to the task! And I can only imagine the looks on the faces of the people you came across down there when they realised your main (only) transport was a 3.6m inflatable!! Well done.
Thanks Bill! Hahaha when it's go time I'm all in 😂 she's such trusty wee vessel aye, gotta replace the plywood bow end floor piece, other than that's she's all good! Hahaha got a few funny looks, but I'm sure they're all used to the nutters in yaks paddling past in the summer months 😂 cheers mate!
Scrolling through the comments I am glad to share the joy you bring to your most marvellous adventures. Merry Christmas Tasman, and love to you and yours x.
Absolutely amazing trip. You lived like a pauper and ate like a king. I wish I had the guts and the knowledge to do what you do. Fantastic. Just one question, how does your Mum feel, watching what you get up to?
Thanks Mark! Hard to go hungry in a place like that! Guts, or foolhardy-ness 😂😂. Hahaha she definitely wasn't impressed with the 4 whole weeks of no contact 😂 but she loves the videos! Cheers 😁
Anything I say is just going to be a repeat of what everyone else has said. Absolutely epic trip Tasman, the way you adapt to any situation and always see the good side of things is something you should be proud of.
