Flying High: Cirrus SR22 Adventure to the Wright Brothers Monument at First Flight KFFA #cirruslife
มุมมอง 3.9Kปีที่แล้ว
If you are a pilot, I don’t have to tell you the historical significance of First Flight Airport (KFFA) where Wright Brother's Monument is located. Flying to the site where mankind's first power flight took place has been on my bucket list before I even became a pilot. I've always heard about this airport being challenging to get into due to the constant wind at Kill Devil Hills, North Carolina...
Flying in REAL ICING CONDITIONS in a Cirrus SR22 FIKI (KARB - KFRG) #cirrus #cirruslife
มุมมอง 18K2 ปีที่แล้ว
Wonder what flying in icing conditions look like? Please come see it for yourself on the return leg of our Ann Arbor Football weekend trip (See "Part 1 Took 26 Years to Fulfill a Promise..."). From the weather briefing, we expected icing levels around 4,000 to 6,000 feet and improving halfway through. Knowing my plane is FIKI (Fly Into Known Icing) equipped and after carefully reviewing the wea...
Took me 26 years to do this VERY SPECIAL Flight from NY to MI | Cirrus SR22 #cirrus #cirruslife
มุมมอง 6K2 ปีที่แล้ว
Before I graduated from college, I made a promise that someday I would fly my own plane back to Ann Arbor to watch a Michigan Wolverines Football game. Recently I flew my Cirrus SR22 back to the University of Michigan and fulfilled this promise. My buddy Braulio (fellow pilot and Bonanza owner) came along for the ride. We took off from Farmingdale Republic Airport (KFRG) around 4:30PM and arriv...
Two NERVOUS “Millennial” Friends Doing the NYC Skyline Tour in a Cirrus SR22. KFRG - KHVN #cirrus
มุมมอง 22K2 ปีที่แล้ว
Eliza and Henna asked me to take them flying in my Cirrus SR22 G6. Since both of them are nervous fliers, I thought the best way to calm their nerves is to fly the New York City Skyline tour followed by lunch at the world famous Frank Pepe's for its legendary white clam pizza. I've included almost all of the ATC audios from take off most of the Hudson River VFR Corridor (SFRA). So please join u...
Which is faster "door to door"? Cirrus SR22 or an Airliner? #cirrus
มุมมอง 50K2 ปีที่แล้ว
If you are a pilot, chances are you've been asked if flying your own plane is faster than flying a commercial airliner. I've decided to put this to test: my friends flew on an airliner while my wife and I took our Cirrus SR22. We flew from Republic Airport (KFRG) in Farmingdale, NY to Mont-Tremblant International Airport (CYFJ) in La Macaza, Quebec. Which do you think will be faster door to doo...
One of the BEST Cirrus Service Center (KDXR) in the NY Metro Region.
มุมมอง 4.4K2 ปีที่แล้ว
Prior to owning our own plane, we were unfamiliar with the maintenance process. We always thought this is a complicated and time consuming process. Thanks to Cirrus Aircraft and its nice network of Cirrus Service Centers (CSC) servicing your Cirrus couldn't be easier. With that said, not all CSC are the same - about a dozen of us from the Long Island area flies to US Flight Aircraft Maintenance...
Why did he buy a Beechcraft Bonanza over a Cirrus SR22?
มุมมอง 65K2 ปีที่แล้ว
My friend is a big fan of the Cirrus SR Series. He was trained in a Cirrus SR20 and has quite a few hours in both the SR20 and SR22. Yet for his first plane, he bought a Bonanza F33A instead. Why did he do that? Because of of the cost. The Beechcraft Bonanza is often considered as one of the top alternatives to the Cirrus SR22. This Bonanza will achieve 90% of a SR22's performance at 25% of the...
My friends PRICELESS reaction flying in a Cirrus SR22 G6 for the first time. IFR KFRG - KACY - KFRG
มุมมอง 86K2 ปีที่แล้ว
With the promise of going to one of the best restaurants in Atlantic City, two friends agreed to hop in my Cirrus SR22 G6 for a nice dinner. One of them, John, was a student pilot, owned a 1977 Piper Cherokee, didn't finish his pilot's certificate and hasn't flown in over 15 years. The other, Steve, always had the perception that small plane is just that: small, cramped and uncomfortable. After...
How Long Does It Take To Fly Your Own Plane From Florida to New York? We Did It In Our Cirrus SR22
มุมมอง 77K2 ปีที่แล้ว
Our family decided on a whim to spend winter break and New Year in Florida. The three of us hopped in our Cirrus SR22, which is an incredibly capable and perfect plane for this trip. Round trip was just under 2,000 miles and this video is our return leg from Melbourne, FL to Farmingdale, NY. We left at 10AM and arrived around 5PM with a 90 minute stop for lunch and fuel. MELBOURNE to POMPANO BEACH in a CIRRUS SR22 G6

Here's a video of our round trip flight from Melbourne to Pompano Beach in the Cirrus SR22. My family and I were in Florida over the holidays and a few friends happen to be down here as well. Tesla Model Y Performance vs Long Range Acceleration Boost Upgrade
Great video. Loved the night approach, esp the camera view looking forward.
Thanks! The night approach was really fun to shoot.
I watched your videos during my PPL training in a 172 with the dream of owning a Cirrus. Fast forward to 3 months ago, I now own an SR22T G6 and it's fun to rewatch them. Also a good learning tool to follow along on this flight with foreflight and see how you got clearance into Bravo etc. I'm in the Colorado Rockies, but this flight is definitely on the bucket list! Thanks for your videos and amping up the dream a year and a half ago!
congrats on your new plane!
Is there much difference between CIRRUS and the Columbia 400/Corvalis/Lancair?
Both excellent planes. Corvallis TT is a better plane IMHO but Cessna botched it by not putting in the parachute. Having the chute is an easy sell to spouses.
@@SlowAsianDriver Thanks for the reply. I didn't know that.. I thought they all had the Chute option.
I like the Performance, but didn't have the funds for it. The LR + AB is so nice. I found a demo in red last year and it has been my favorite car in my life, so far. The Performance costs more to buy, insure, and put tires on. In that department the LR was enough for me. 😂
No wonder the competitors are drying up!
Excellent final message! Congrats!
She hates it.
What’s the difference between a commercial airline and your plane if the distance is 600 NM ? Approximately ? I am getting interested looks fun
Commercial airline will be significantly faster. But you have to deal with their schedule and more importantly, TSA lines and unruly passengers :)
Good stuff. Really nice of you to provide accurate subtitles.
Thank you! I wish I have more time to do it for all my videos.
I am looking at a Debonair C33. Love the look of the C33 and F33.
Great choice!
Just caught on to your channel. Love love love your videos
Glad you like them!
I’m sitting here in Home Depot parking lot hoping and praying a woman doesn’t see me trying to repair the curb rash that I am responsible for 😭😭😭 24 MYP I purchased brand new. It’s only four months old. 😩
You won’t notice them after curbing all 4…twice. 😂
Like your screen name
Thx :)
Love the night vision curtesy. I'm also impressed with the night time camera work. It looks great.
I love it!
thank you very much for this video, watched from Portugal
Glad you enjoyed it!
two questions. did you pay a landing and parking fee? and where did you go for food. Can't wait to see your next plane.
We did pay a landing fee…I recall it was around $16. We went to Brotherhood of Thieves. However there are tons of choices such as Cru, White Elephant, etc.
With current pricing, the performance is the same price as the LR when you add induction wheels and acc boost.
Music? Ugh
How cool is that!
Very nice vid, well done.
Glad you enjoyed it
If you don't mind sharing what is/are the features in the G7 that prompted your upgrade? I'm assuming the avionics package, but just curious.
My previous partner wanted to sell the G6, plus the G7 was just announce and my new partner and I loved it.
@@SlowAsianDriver Hard not to agree with that! Former multiple Cirrus owner and getting back into flying so exploring all of the options yet again 😀
is it the same 4C from your older video? Looking forward to see more videos.
It’s a Maserati MC20 (still have the 4C). Stay tuned my next video will be about the MC20 :)
Great roadtrip! If you ever get the chance, visit the Henry ford museum in Dearborn, MI (edge of detroit). It has Lincoln’s rocking chair he was sitting in on that fateful night at the theater, george Washington’s actual fold out field mattress he used to sleep on, etc. The bus that Rosa Parks refused to get up from her seat is there too that you can go in if you want. It’s a feeling for sure…it’s silent and everyone just taking in the atmosphere what it must have been like to be there at the moment. There’s a ton of other stuff (kennedy’s limo he was tragically in, etc) that you can easily spend all day in the museum looking at. Attached to it is Greenfield village. It’s a period setting establishment on the grounds with Thomas Edison’s actual laboratory and you can go for rides in early 1900s Model T’s, etc. All the best to you!
Thank you. We were there 2 years ago. Great museum for sure.
Any cost comparison yearly between the two? Hopefully he has kept good data over the years and would be willing to share yearly Mx cost.
His annual was $2,500, while the Cirrus is around $6,000 - $15,000. Operating cost is not really comparable between the two as the two are completely different technology platforms. It's like comparing a modern Ferrari vs a classic Corvette.
@@SlowAsianDriver wow big difference. I plan on redoing an A36 with all glass g3x etc. Nice to have even slight ballpark numbers. Thank you for sharing this info, very helpful. Also, please tell your friend we said thank you as well!
Pls hit me up on IG and I can put you in touch with him.
Hey I’m looking to get my pilots certificate and took a discovery flight out of republic. Looking to find a community in my area of people within aviation. Would love to talk if you have the time! Love the videos

I think you should get tail number that ends with “FU2”. 😎
😂 only if.
Good to see you again!
thanks Mark!
Glad to see you back! Looking forward to your new adventures.
Thanks pal!
Exciting, welcome back John.
Thanks pal! :)
@@SlowAsianDriversupposed to fly there for fluke fishing. Hopefully will accomplish it before season ends 🤣😎

Definitely getting rusty...lol. Thank you for the support :)
Congrats on the new G7 coming!
Thanks! Can't wait!
Awesome!
Thanks!

glad to be back! :)
Glad to see you're still making videos! Really hoping we get a vid on the new G7 when it arrives.
Thank you for the support and there will be a vid on the G7...just gonna be a while. :)
Welcome back!
Thanks pal!
Glad you’re getting another one. I loved that SR22. What color this time? 👍
Most likely Rosso Cross...unless Cirrus comes out with an awesome yellow. Got plenty time to decide...lol.
Look who is back!
I thought SR22 cruises at 170kts.
At Rich of Peak it will easily cruise at 170+ TAS...with a fuel flow of 17~18 GPH. At Lean of Peak, it will cruise around 160 TAS with a fuel flow of 12.5~13 GPH. Most of Cirrus drivers fly LOP.
@@SlowAsianDriver I see, thanks for the explanation.
@@SlowAsianDriver thanks for the info, btw as a Chinese, I can't help but noticed your tail number is very special, did you choose them or was it just asigned to you? XD
you can reserve them just like car license plate.
@@SlowAsianDriver Haha congrats on owning such a special plane. This also reminds me of the old days when after each training session, my instructor always said to me:"Another landing is done, we can both foxtrot oscar now." XD
You’re a month past your deadline for a new video 😢 I’d be happy just seeing a video of you showing a rendering of the new plane !
My day job has been kicking my butt. New video dropping Thursday.
You are indeed “my husband “ too … the “perfect driver “😂😂🤣😂
🤣🤣🤣. A few weeks ago I laughed at my wife for getting a red light ticket. Well as Karma would have it, I got one today, too. 🤦🏻♂️
First, LOVE the profile name. Second, couldn’t help but notice (and appreciate) how courteous you were to everyone. Well done!
thanks so much pal! doesn't cost me anything to be nice and courteous. :)
Friends don't let friends fly plastic airplanes. Always thought the F33A was the perfect Bonanza. The lines look perfectly balanced....A36 looks like the fuselage behind the wings is too long. Just like the 310R...longer nose on the R model made it look PERFECT.
Every time I step off an A36 I feel like my fat butt is gonna lift the nose wheel off the ground...lol. Btw, you should try the new Cirrus...it's pretty spectacular.
Remember that acceleration boost cost a lot of money and don't come with mags, the price difference is not so far. so I get the P too.
Does the LR model feel like it doesnt launch from a stop before and/or after getting the acceleration boost? Drove a demo Model Y LR today at Tesla and it felt underwhelming upon acceleration, more of a gradual increase in power as it gained speed. While the car said "standard," I am wondering if the demo model hindered any bit of launch. Performance model definitely pulls u back in the seat.
Does anyone know how much it costs more to insure the Performnance, if any?
You motivate me. I appreciate these videos.
Glad you like them!
i hate the cirrus and i dont trust to fly one
I've got the MYLR in Toronto Canada and I had points from my friend who bought a Tesla using my referral code so I used it to get acceleration boost and you get it for good and I did not have to buy it. Plus I have a 7 seater MYLR. Definitely better than the performance.
That's a very nice paint job.
Nice video! Thank you for posting your great content/videos with KFRG departures.. they are fantastic and well done. Don't stop!! You're inspiring. Wish I could get back there (I stopped after instrument rating).
Thank you very much!
