My wife just curbed the wheel on our brand new perf Y :( :( Your wheel fix video helped me cope and I've been hooked on the rest of your videos ever since. Keep them coming!
I also curbed my brand new MYP:(:( These wheels are CRAZY easy to curb:( I barely touched my left front wheel against the curb and was 100% it's ok...only to come home and see a nasty little curb rash smiling back at me..happened 7 days after delivery with 150km on the clock. I feel stupid😅 I've touched it up with a bit of special paint and finish I bought especially for uberturbines..and I guess I can live with it...new rim would cost 950eur (only rim w/o a tire!!). One company in Slovenia specialises in rim repairs, they would charge 130eur to sand the entire rim down and re-paint it, the problem is that I don't trust them to match the exact colour and finish, I would also have to leave the car there for 3-4 days, which for me is not an option. I think it is simply not possible to keep 21" uberurbines without any damage on the long run. Tesla center in Slovenia got 2 black MYP from Berlin in beginning of April as test vehicles...they both got all 4 rims scratched...so...try to put this in perspective.
I think it’s aerodynamics? above 75 mph the Lambo is much lower and out of the wind stream. Also why you get so much better mileage below 125km/hr in a Model Y
Drag Coefficient (cX): LP640 0.33 vs Tesla Model Y 0.23. So Model Y is much more aerodynamic than the Lambo. Above 65 MPH is when the LP640 shifts into 2nd gear hence the difference.
Regular day driving and you are stop at the light, Lamborghini has nothing on you. It’s nice to know your family SUV can keep up with any super car. You have the best of both wold in your Model Y Family hauler with super car performance. You are lucky enough to own both. Lamborghini for weekend driving and Model Y for everything else. 👍👍👍
I’m not a fan of how Rim Savers look…plus I know my wife will find a way to curb them up 😂. I just get all my rims refinished every two years for $100 per rim :)
Just curious- S.A.D. What do you do for a living? Appreciate your videos and the quality of them! Keep them coming!! Cirrus has a nice satellite location in Henderson, Nevada just 15 minutes from downtown Vegas 🎰
Thanks pal! Appreciate the kind words. I have my own business in manufacturing. Yes the Cirrus center by Henderson is Lone Mountain. I’ve spoke to them before I bought the Cirrus…seems like good people.
The Tesla Model Y SOC was too low to be competitive! I have a Red Model Y Performance and there is quite a bit of difference in acceleration when your SOC is below 70%. Try again!
Hi Tracy, I think it's the low temperature diminished the acceleration performance. I was able to get 0-60 in about 3.6 sec at 57% SoC back in October. :) Btw, red MYP looks gorgeous!
@@SlowAsianDriver that's true! Low temp does affect the ability to deliver full power to the motors! Enjoyed your video - look forward to more! You can find me on Twitter, have two accounts @tracy_karin and my new account @RedTeslaGirl - Stay safe Tesla brother! :)
Ayy a lambo is still a lambo. If I'm ultra rich, I'd buy a Tesla for daily driving and I'll buy a Lambo for weekend fun driving. But right now, I'm broke af. Lol
Race 3. - did you miss the start with model Y? But race 4 was more ''normal''. Since tesla powers up with 400V the motors and because of it's instant torque it is very fact in 0-60 (or 20-60) but as any other electric car (except Lucid which is powered by 900V), the power dramatically reduces at higher speeds....and that's wwere internal combustion engines beat it.

@@SlowAsianDriver I never thought I'd be driving an EV as recently as a year ago. Until in August last year when my wife decided to get a model 3. One drive in her M3 and the rest is history for me as well. I just picked up my MY less than a month ago.
True, however it was 35 degrees out so the tires needed to be warmed up first plus this was a rolling start. On the 3rd run once the tires were warmed up the Lambo blew the Tesla away.
You are on...lol. I went to Kenworth’s factory at Chillicothe, Ohio last year and it was quite an impressive operation. Kenworth are so well built abd have a whole new appreciation for them.
Tesla definitely, would hate to go to the gas station in the gas gulping Lambo or have to pay when its time to do an oil change or new tires on it and the insurance on that thing, insane!
@@SlowAsianDriver just fyi... I think one thing we can agree on is that Lambo's original V12 was in use until Murcielago. Ferrucio actually commissioned the design of that engine in the early 60's before Lamborghini was even formed as a company. The engined was unveiled in 63. Honda did indeed enter a V12 in F1, and was the only team to do so, but that was not until their '64 inaugural season. Throughout the 60's until then, there were no V12's fielded in F1. However, here’s an interesting read: bringatrailer.com/2019/04/16/technically-interesting-did-honda-secretly-design-the-lamborghini-v12/ Also take a close look at the Honda engine’s layout…it bears a lot of similarity to the original Lambo V12s. Just wait for the next gen roadster
It will be amazing!
Plaid Model S coming. A SUV at 60k hanging with a Lamborghini that cost 5x as much? Ah its like bring a knife to a gun fight.
Don’t have to wait for that. S Plaid would destroy the Lambo.
How about from a stand still, 0-60?
Didn’t want to risk a new clutch job...I was being too cheap. Lol.

Lambo pulled away also due to gearing…since Tesla has only 1 speed.
You need smaller performance wheels to win that race! Think about it!
