@@SlowAsianDriver probably helped to be there on a day when there was no activity at the Cape. Kind of like the folks who got to take their GA plane into JFK, LGA and EWR in one day, last year. Might not get that chance again! Lol
Wow, I was considering getting the Cirrus G6 and after watching your videos you definitely confirmed that this is the plane that fits my mission objective! Thank you for the great videos!
Thanks Anton! It’s not a perfect plane but definitely checks most of boxes for my mission. Feel free to reach out with any questions. Email is my channel name at gmail.
I flew my Robinson R66 at night at low level & landed on that shuttle runway. Stayed just enough to get pics of us in front of the helo then took off again & flew back to home base. That was several years ago now. Maybe again one day (night) soon 🙂.
Great video, thanks for sharing. Republic is about 45 minutes from me. I am thinking of doing my PPL there on the Cirrus sr20. Wondering if I would be better off at a closer airport although they use 172 trainers.
Cirrus SR20 is a great plane to train in…but it’s expensive. If you have the resources and you know you’ll be buying or flying a Cirrus down the road, then go for it. If budget is tight, just know that an hour in a C172 counts the same as an hour in a SR20. 😉. The best bang for the buck is to rent a G1000 C172…hone in your skills and do your Instrument in a SR20. Can’t go wrong either way. Hope that makes sense.
Awesome video, even though this Corsa Red is a popular color among Cirrus owners (and my personal favorite) is very difficult to find videos on TH-cam of SR22s with it, keep the videos coming!
Thank Luis! When my airplane partner and I were spec’ing out the plane, we wanted to make a bold but tasteful statement. Once we saw a Rosso Corsa plane in person, it was game over…we knew we found the winner.
Nice video Slow Asian, beautiful family. I live 15min from FRG…question…Could the SR22 make it all the way to MLB without a fuel stop and if so how long would flight time be? Need to see some new vids Asian…keep it up! God Bless.
Regular 22 will make MLB in the right condition…however, you run into legality with fuel reserve. A typical trip is between 5.5 to 6.5 hour in flight time. We typically stop in KCPC or KMYR for lunch. Feel free to ask any questions and thanks for the kind words! ✌️
very simple: you leave the camera running then you forget to take it with you. It was an intended result. Lol. I had to call the FBO to ask them retrieve it for me. 🤦🏻♂️
Pardon the question, but what were you doing there in the beginning when you sent the flight plan from your iPad to the plane? Was that ForeFlight to Garmin?
Correct. We file the flight plan then we get the expect route through ForeFlight. Instead of entering it manually into the G1000 we can simply push it to the G1000 through Bluetooth from the iPad.
@@SlowAsianDriver thank you. I really enjoy your enthusiasm in your videos. As I am just begging my PPL/Instrument quest (on lesson 4 and started ground), it’s all very daunting. I keep thinking there’s no way I will ever get this. But your videos are inspiring. Thank you.
New sub. Thanks for uploading your video. I had my VariEze at FRG in the 90’s. Now living in Vero Beach and almost finishing my BD 4C at KFPR. If you ever come to FPR lunch on me for your whole family and free tour of my hangar lol.
Fun flight. Good you're able to take your CFI with you, as this looks like a complex aircraft. FRG... I did my PPL down the street at Bayport Aerodrome (23N) - did you do any landings there?
Hi Paul, no I haven’t landed at Bayport but have been there a bunch of times for the vintage air shows. The Cirrus is incredibly easy to fly and nimble :).
@@SlowAsianDriver First TH-camr I've known that's been to Bayport. Not sure if it's still there, but I flew the Yellow/Burgundy Cessna 152 (N216DV). You reminded me by saying vintage shows - scored .6 hours in the PT-17 (N1902M), which was a blast. Continued success with your Cirrus.
@@SlowAsianDriver Sadly, I just heard that Frank passed away about a week ago. He was the owner of D'Angelone Aviation, and the local DPE for years. Now I'm out here in Central Coast, CA. A while back, I did my BFR at Torrance (TOA) and flew up and down the coast. The Special Flight Rules Area over LAX is surprisingly easy to do. When I get back into flying, I'll post some TH-cam videos and send a link. Have you done the Hudson tour of Manhattan? Wish I had done that. Paul
I had the pleasure of meeting Frank a few years ago and he’s truly a gentleman. His presence will be missed by many. Yes I’ve done the NYC skyline route many times truly spectacular. Please do post up some vids would love to see them. Have a nice weekend pal!

What’s the difference between a commercial airline and your plane if the distance is 600 NM ? Approximately ? I am getting interested looks fun
Commercial airline will be significantly faster. But you have to deal with their schedule and more importantly, TSA lines and unruly passengers :)
Great Video!! Maybe you could do one in the future discussing the price and future maintenance costs.
Thats a great idea! Though if I get depressed at how much I’m throwing away I’m blaming you. 😂

@@SlowAsianDriver thanks I got the same lecture from my dad when I said a joke but what I mean is where did you buy the aircraft did you go to some store or something?
The beauty of buying an airplane is the sale rep comes comes to you and show you all the paint, fabric etc.
How long did it take you to fly from NY to Myrtle Beach? Then Myrtle Beach to FL?
Just under 4 to Myrtle and under 3 to Melbourne FL. Had a nasty 27 knots head wind. Video has time stamps at various stops.
Sorry for the delay I just called Piper today 6/21/21 they told me the Piper factory tours still closed but the shop is open go figure
Cirrus is doing the same as well. Ugh.
what apps do you use to fly?
I use ForeFlight for planning, CloudAhoy to rate and improve my maneuvers. I use to use Garmin Pilot, but I find Foreflight easier and more stable.
there’s me holding short!
We’re you in one oh LIA’s C172s?

Awesome. If the weather permits I’ll be at the T hangar (across from LIA) cleaning 8FU in the AM. Stopped by and say hello.
Not a pilot, but If my numbers are right the SR22 can take off and land 5 times on the space shuttle runway before you run out of distance

NY to California is called a long a$$ cross-country...lol. Anything over 50 nautical miles is categorized as "cross country" flight in aviation.
