My wife and I watched this series and were convinced to order a MYP because of you guys! Thank you :) How was the ride quality during your trip? I hear that it can get quite rough with the performance suspension over patched roads but wanted to get your opinion.
@@caj3 thanks and you are gonna love the car. If you are used to driving a sports car you will find the ride to be gentler. If you are used to driving a sedan then the ride is firmer in comparison. Just be careful with potholes.
I did a ceramic coating for the seat and the blue Jean dye is pretty easy to wipe up with baby wipes. As long as you apply the coating once a year it’s pretty easy to maintain. I have a dog, wife and a messy child and the white interior has held up great.
Tesla’s lease on Model 3 & Y are close ended without an option to buy the car at the end. The lease also calculates a residual value around 60% (iirc). However, Model Y has a strong resale value around 80% so IMHO, buying the better financially. With that said, there’s the convenience of a least where after 36 month you don’t have to worry about advertising and resell it yourself. I recall there’s a very good YT video on this.
No, the f-ing pothole ripped the sidewall and had to get a new tire. I would watch a few videos by others (Bearded Tesla Guy has a decent one) on things to look for on delivery. Most of the problems in those videos are no longer issues with current cars. Congrats on your MYP!
@@SlowAsianDriver Too bad about the tire. Good thing it was only 1 and your rim didn’t get bent. I watch electric man’s TH-cam channel. He does daily inspections on model 3 and y’s. The latest faults are the hatch having inconsistent gaps on the driver side. Weird thing is that the cars he’s reviewing have older build datesZ. He’s in Canada, so maybe it’s an import issue. I have a check list from a model 3 to use as a template.
My MYP was delivered! It had some minor alignment issue and some kind of left over trim in the head liner. NO squeaks or rattles. Overall, a great car. I need to get a ubc-c cable to test these ports.
Nicely done! Sweet family memories.
Thank you!
Bless you and your Family. Smile.
Thank you!
Man, I really enjoyed watching these vids. In the market for a model YP and these were very informative. Thanks! 🙏🏼
Thanks John!
Great videos...enjoyed all 3 of your trip from NY to NC....
Thanks Patricia! We love road-tripping in our Tesla. It’s so easy.

Very cool trip. Thank you.
Thank you!
Very entertaining- thanks for uploading the video.
Thanks pal!
Is your white car seat easy to get dirty especially for the jeans?

Do you have fsd or just regular Autopilot
I have FSD and recently got the FSD Beta.
Should I lease or buy a model y? Appreciate your help!

Definitely finance, especially if you can find a credit union that offers a sub 2% interest rate.
What is your lifetime Wh/mi?
298
How are the 21’ inch tires and wheels holding up?
Car is about to hit 20K miles and the tires held up great with plenty tread life left. Only had 1 puncture from hitting a pothole back in March.
@@SlowAsianDriver only one! Were you able to patch it? They are delivering a MYP to me this Friday. Any good tips for inspection?

Upkeep on the mansion must cost a fortune!
It’s ridiculous that why the tickets are $66 per person per day. Lol
@@SlowAsianDriver that’s expensive! I guess for a once in a lifetime experience it’s worth it.
you drive a performance model Y, I drive a Standard Y, you fly the SR22, I fly the SR, you are asian I m half asian!😂😂😂😂
Great minds think alike 🤣
