I watched your videos during my PPL training in a 172 with the dream of owning a Cirrus. Fast forward to 3 months ago, I now own an SR22T G6 and it's fun to rewatch them. Also a good learning tool to follow along on this flight with foreflight and see how you got clearance into Bravo etc. I'm in the Colorado Rockies, but this flight is definitely on the bucket list! Thanks for your videos and amping up the dream a year and a half ago!
You can hear Farmingdale State 50 on the frequency while climbing out of FRG. My son flew that plane many times. He now flies mostly FRG62 or FRG63. Farmingdale State College uses those two planes for Commercial Rating training.
I’m from Ireland but done some hour building in Florida towards my CPL a few years back, was pretty mental on the shoreline down that way too at the weekends. Nice vids you put together, take care 👍
Great video and a beautiful plane. I fly there regularly, though usually come from Alpine tower side, always a fun flight! Thanks for sharing the video.
Great video!!! Reminded me about a flight that I took with two female friends. One of them was living in Australia at the time and then when she got in the plane, instead of sitting in the copilot seat, she climbed over the center consul and sat in the pilot seat. She thought it was like cars in Australia where you drive on the right side 😂😂😂
The selfies were a new level of pretentious. Seriously, what happened to enjoying the moment and creating the memory? Great video, I’ve flown that tour a few times now love it!
@@SlowAsianDriver Recent football game I was at, four girls sat in front of me and all took selfies… THE ENTIRE GAME. They never once looked on the field. The only time where they weren’t taking selfies was when a cameraman went by, they then tried frantically to get on tv like their lives depended on it.
Hello SlowAsianDriver, just stumbled upon your videos after getting back in the MS Flight Sim 2020 and getting interested in GA aviation again. Tried to make my PPL about 15 years ago in Germany, never worked out, because of personal problems, moved to Spain, now had a trial flight with one of the flying school here in the area and everything felt very familiar. I guess it's like riding a bike :) Anyways, I really enjoy your videos and your professionalism. May I ask what is a "Skyline Tour", I mean I can imagine, but is that a set route you can take in the NY area or is it ppl can book officially? Not sure. If ever come to NY (changes are slim :)), I would definitely want to fly with you, too. If you ever come to Spain, please let me know. Would be great to meet up.
Hey pal! Thanks for the support. :) "Skyline Tour" is a generic term for VFR flying to see the NY City Skyline. There are specific rules & reporting points published in the Sectional Chart. It's very popular amongst the pilots and a great way to show visiting friends of NYC from a different angle. What part of Spain do you live? We were just in Madrid & Marbella a few month ago...would've been nice to meet up. Feel free to reachout on IG (same name). Cheers!
@@SlowAsianDriver Btw, John, just in case you are slightly interested. I made a video for my German channel of the trial flight I had a few weeks ago 😂 You can find it here: th-cam.com/video/0qx85WcZQSY/w-d-xo.html
Fun and hilarious video. Thanks for taking us along! All the selfies reminded me of my daughter and her friends. The counts were hilarious! Safe flying.
Another great video Sr. I usually fly Hudson corridor on opposite direction, entering from north end. Was nice to have a look from different perspective as well. Feel free to stop at 4B8 at some point. I’ll be happy to meet you in person John. Cheers.
Another great vid. Did you have some flap extended northbound up the Hudson? Also, I fly the Skyline Route much closer to the shoreline (per the TAC chart) vs. over the middle of the river. If an opposite direction guy was doing the same thing as you…plus a lot of the helicopters perform 180s near the GWB, which could get create a collision hazard as they cross in front of you.
Nice flying! ✈️ Your passengers made it more challenging but you handled it all smoothly. 👏🏼 Aside from vacation arrivals back into LGA over the Hudson, ironically I’ve not yet done the down low Skyline Tour. On my bucket list for one of these days…
My man !!! , great flight , nice job , Selfie count was up there with my camera count !!!!!!!! , wheres that pizza place in relation to HVN , close by ??, I should check it out .. great video ..
Thank you Murad. We usually have the FBO stage the plane for us and push it back into the hangar after we land. We also have a Best Tug if we want to do it ourselves.
@@SlowAsianDriver I fell in love with your videos and subscribed, please keep doing it! Could you please also add to your stories how you usually prepare for the flight, how you make your flight plans which soft do you use?
I think a “I’m not a cfi” before you show us your prep, would work..right? I’m living my dream through your vids, so a few vids on prep would be awesome. I am a new sub!….great job btw.👏🏻👏🏻
Thanks for the feedback. On the cirrus learning portal they have a new cross country prep course that will do a much better job than me. Thanks again for your support.
Subscribed to your channel after watching you and your family in the Tesla road trip videos. Love the content, keep it up! I'm also in NYC but with a LR MY :P
Selfies are out of control lol... but more surprisingly to me, it's all the things you can do in such a busy airspace... never imagined that you could fly that low in the area....
Lol tell me about it. The airspace is pretty busy: before we got there we had to duck under JFK’s Bravo at 400’ over water. The actual self reporting Hudson River SFRA is surface to 1,299 ft. Given all the helicopters and other traffic I always prefer a handoff and in contact with ATC. At 1,500’ it’s still lower than the Freedom tower and we have a spectacular view. ✌️
Great video and amazing skills. Can i ask how many hours you have? Your confidence and ability is something i aspire to have. Private pilot studying commercial with roughly 130 hours total.
I’m sorry, but those two cute ladies are ridiculous. It’s not necessary to take more than a couple of selfies. You took them on a fabulous sightseeing trip, and they barely looked out the windows😡. In 1973, my friend and I took 2 playboy bunnies on a flight (before cell phones). Bit bunnies painted their nails, and never looked out the windows. Passengers like that are not welcome in my bonanza!

Everyone commenting on the amount of selfies as we watch an a video that is essentially a selfie lol
Loving your videos!
true…lol.
I love the skyline tour, especially at night! Great video!
Thanks so much!
LOL the jokes write themselves loved the banter with you and your home tower.
They are part time comedians. Lol.
And a stop at Frank Pepe Pizza ... I'm envious!
Looked like a beautiful day to fly. That area is sooo busy. The photo shoot with the selfie count was hilarious. Thanks for sharing your adventures.

Great flight as usual. The super ridiculous selfie is beyond words. Self indulged no doubt. Look at me syndrome.
What can I says…millennials. 🤣
As a millennial pilot, I can safely say…we don’t all do that 🤣
You’ve restored my hope in your generation. ✌️🤙🤣
Hilarious that you captioned each selfie! My pal just got a Cirrus, and I hope to fly in it soon. Thanks for the videos.
Thanks Patrick! You are gonna love the Cirrus. Yes Pepe’s Pizza is amazing.
Loving the selfie count….hilarious!
🤣🤙✌️
The selfie count😂😂😂 that’s ridiculous!!! Enjoy the flight! I would have smacked the phone of their hands.
🤣 they are millennials.
A Go Pro 360 degree camera in the front, a Go Pro over the wing and a Go Pro on the ceiling looking ahead.
The selfie counter has me cracking up… and I’m only at 34!
🤣
An eject button would solve the problem

Thanks for the advice. ✌️. Yes I did extend 50% flaps.
Awesome video. I noticed that you had the first notch of flaps in. Is that recommended for a relatively slow flight?
Christian, 50% flaps (1 notch) makes slow flights more comfortable and less nose up attitude.
Nice flying! ✈️
