I feel you on the maturity thing I did my lvn course in 2018 took me till 2024 to pass my nclex 28 years old now and ready to be an amazing lvn !

1.- Negotiate your pay 2.- Get your extra pens & sharpies 3.- Bring your Non-Contact Thermometer & Blood Pressure Monitor (Portable) 4.- Keep it Short & Sweet - In & Out - Be Respectful and Move on with your Patients. 5.- Take your Meal breaks, Do not Eat & Work, You Have to Rest, & enjoy your Breaks. 6.- Get Compression Sucks, You will be in your Feet the most of the Time. (Make them part of your Daily Uniform wear) 7.- Do not let the Facility Over Load you with Pts, Take initiative - There is a form that Protects you from Patient Ratio its important, save your Nursing License, Fill & Sign the form. (Protest of Assignment Form). 8.- Do not take ANYTHING Personal, DO yourself a Favor, Standup for yourself, Don't take nothing Personal. Stay True to yourself. 9.- Med Pass TIPS: People don't like the cold Water or Ice Water, Fill the pitcher with Ice and is cold but not that cold. 10.- Med Pass TIPS: Group the Medication at your best judgement and Safety - Use your ethical Professional knowledge. 11.- Mark and Initial, Label it, Appropriated.

Word of advice do agency and take the LTC places no one wants to work, yes they wont be the cleanest or the most professional but you will get the most hours and highest paid, example lets ay you want to work Monday 3-11 look at the app wait till about 1pm before accepting because the closer to the shift and none of one picked up the agency sometimes offers a higher pay rate so if the rate was 42 it will be 45 a couple hours before the shift

Rachela or anyone here please help , I graduated 6 years ago I did take the exam and I failed it .... I want to apply to another state because here in Louisiana I can't apply to take the NCLEX EXAM because I didn't successfully take and pass within 3 years post graduation

Dr. Schol’s or Muks’ compression socks are wonderful! Working doubles in MC & then working 12 hours in IPR is no joke! In TX, the ratio for SNF (average) is 10:1…….some have told me average was 12:1 & if facility was short staffed, then it’s 15-20:1, which is totally UNSAFE!

What state r u in and what is ur pt-nurse ratio in ur area?

If there's something you don't know at work for instance and u r on night shift who do u call for help?

What emr ur using? Do u write notes to all the residents or only the important ones?

Don't need to see this ....Prof., Nurse/Medic 43+ years....Sadly nurses today especially in Asia have no idea how to provide even the basic care for a patient.Truth.

What you made in two weeks is what I make as a travel CNA in 1 week working 4 12hr shifts. They really need to up the pay for LVNs. Especially in higher cost of living states.
