Thank you posting, I just hired at a snf, I start in 2 days and I’m nervous. I started out as a tech at a hospital. This is my first nursing job

Your welcome! It’s natural to be nervous. I can’t tell you it’s going to be easy at first. When I first started, I was doing my thing (on the outside I looked confident af) , but on the inside I was in shambles. Like anything practice will have you feeling less nervous. Don’t expect to be perfect right away, but in time you’ll get your groove. Congratulations btw! Welcome to the field of nursing.

if you don’t mind me asking how long and how often did you do clinicals before you actually got your full job?! love your videos

Well I did my clinicals during my program which was over 10 years ago. But my second year in my program we were full time in clinicals every other week. ( I did my program in high school )

Thank you so much for posting 🥰🙏🏾 I just passed my LVN-NCLEX last month, 5 years after graduating and will also be starting my first job at a LTC / Rehabilitation Center on the same evening 3pm-11pm shift in California 🤣
How was re-learning all your skills? I feel like I’m going to feel so embarrassed not remembering how to do the basics from school 😭

I can’t believe I’m now seeing this. But I hope things are going well at your new job. I was a little anxious at first, but I caught on pretty quickly. Some things never really leave you. & whatever I didn’t know I just asked for help.
