    Although this video isn’t as descriptive as I’d like, I figured I’d get one out and stop making excuses. This is a glimpse of a day at work as an nurse, lpn. I will really try to get a better video out for you guys, but it’s been extremely difficult since I haven’t gotten my groove back.

    I’m just glad to see someone actually showing what they do at work, not a video full of unnecessary stuff like makeup or what your eating for breakfast and this and that.

    the Nursing skills and excellence of the profession are good but like in any industry, there are downsides as well as
    thing's that aren't fun. meantime it's a great career and it's an amazing profession in taking care of sick people who are fighting to get well enough to return to their daily lives. you seem like you do a great job I am glad for you so
    keep after it. and thanks for these videos. I look forward to my First day of Nursing school but also I look forward to the First day of work as a Nurse employed at a hospital or facility.

    I have a few questions when you have time. Is it odd to see male LPNs? I'm almost 40 and need to get out of unappreciated, sweaty factories and into something where I'm helping. And is midnight shift easier to get hired onto? I've always been a 2nd 3rd shift person so the hours don't bother me. Thanks and I look forward to learning more before I go back to school for the spring semester.

    • @rachela23
      @rachela23  2 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      It’s isn’t odd at all. There are many male nurses (Lpn & RNs) so don’t let your gender deter you from entering this field.
      Midnight shifts for me are personally the best. I don’t do it often because I don’t want to mess up my sleeping pattern, but midnights are much calmer because patients are sleeping. Good luck on your journey

    • @MelisJoy
      @MelisJoy ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Go for it! As she said, don't let your gender deter you. I was in school for RN, left....now years later considering it again or LPN. There were at least 5 guys in every one of my classes & many more in hospitals when I did clinicals. It's NOT easy, please be sure you truly are ready to learn in depth A&P and medications as people's life will be in your hands. Maybe even shadow at your local hospital & clinic. Best of luck to you

    No offense but you remind me of Ice Spice. Y’all sound and look alike. Like y’all could be sisters. Lol

      It’s still really hard for me, but I would just say discipline and daily vitamins. It’s easy to sleep away every second you have off, but you just have to try not to. I’m still trying to get the balance right & ny cold weather isn’t helping

      Having like a good partner in you're life that's loving n caring, so like when u come home u get a foot rub and a massage and cooks well🥰
