Kessoku Band Kirara Tribute Collection (Isolated Vocals)
There was a new release of Kessoku Band material. This time round it was some cover songs of fellow CGDCT openings. As they were covers the instrumentation itself weren't that different from the originals so I just decided to release some isolated vocals.
There were two Audio Dramas included as well which gave us 10 more minutes of Bocchi shenanigans. Here's a link to that translated th-cam.com/video/Nkm5Wj-5hk8/w-d-xo.htmlsi=UWU1oVoWYM08JW8g. If you were looking for some new Bocchi The Rock! content besides music this is a great listen.

Cagayake! GIRLS Mashup - Kessoku Band x Ho-kago Tea Time
A mashup of K-ON's first opening "Cagayake! Girls" with the recently released Kessoku Band cover version. I didn't expect new Kessoku Band material, but they covered a few anime opening including Laid Back Camp's "Shiny Days" opening. I'll release some deconstructions of the covers later on, but I don't think they're going to be interesting. So I worked on combining this classic K-ON opening fi...

A deconstruction of the single version of "Revolution", written by John in India. As he explained in 1968, "What I said in 'Revolution'...is 'change your head.' Deconstructing Come Together - The Beatles (Isolated Tracks)
Come Together dates back to John and Yoko's "bed-in" for peace when Timothy Leary visited. John was asked to write a campaign song for Leary whose slogan was "come together". The song was then brought into the studio on July 21st, 1969 in a unfinished state with the opening line "here come old flat-top" being borrowed from Chuck Berry's “You Can't Catch Me”. John also brought in the "shoot me" ...
Deconstructing The Good Life - Weezer (Isolated Tracks)

One of Weezer's greatest songs "The Good Life" was written in 1995. River's wrote it during his first stint at Harvard where he underwent corrective surgery on his legs. This caused him to walk around in a cane due to the corrective leg-lengthening surgery. He also felt detached from the people around him due to the fame he gained from Weezer's first studio album. All of this is reflected in th...

Hi! Great work! Thanks for sharing. About the pianos, you mention there are 2: a Steinway grand (Hamburg?) and the Challen. Do you know which is the “Piano” and which the “original speed piano”? Thanks!🙏🏻

Uittro dont let me down, and btw; this is nót the stolen bass
this is not a beatles song. Paul McCartney was already pressing his luck with "Free as a Bird" and "Real Love"... but they were welcome additions back in the 90's, and all three remaining beatles whole heartedly were involved. We don't need this shit 20 years later, George is dead, Ringo did not want to do it. Paul was the only one who pushed this. You guys already did it in the 90's Paul... stop revisiting the past and needing to stay relevant. It's like a drug for him to be admired and loved. He's ruining the beatles legacy with this type of nonsense. NOT. A. BEATLES. SONG.
Recovery technology is so wildly good these days. I could see how this couldnt possibly be released back then

Quite a smooth buttery sounding Tele. Usually they're plucky as all hell
The Beatles - Now And Then - The Last... .
GREATEST BAND EVER THE IMMORTAL THE ICONIC THE LEGENDARY BEATLES
Well I know for a fact it’s George playing the guitar solo, because the bends and fills just scream George. People automatically assume that since the solo has a dirty tone, it’s obviously John and that George couldn’t possibly play a guitar part that is so raw and distorted, which just isn’t the case. In early 1968 before their trip to India, both John AND George acquired Fuzz Face pedals, which is the same pedal George used on Hey Bulldog, throughout the White Album, and is most likely the pedal he is using on this song. if you listen to other isolated versions of this song on TH-cam, you’ll find that just before the guitar solo, you can hear George engage the bridge pickup and turn up the volume on his guitar, which would mean he had the Fuzz Face pedal engaged the whole time throughout the first section of the song. According to Take 36 of YNGMYM, which is the band laying down the basic track for the song, you’ll find that Paul is on piano, both George and John are playing guitar, and Ringo is obviously on drums. Throughout the first section of the song, the guitar licks and fills you hear throughout are most definitely played by George, since John was more of a straight forward guitarist and really only strummed chords or played riffs, with fills and licks not really being his specialty. And like I said you can hear George turn up his guitars volume, and engage the bridge pickup just before the solo. Apologizes for the yapping session, but I get real annoyed when people say John played the fuzz guitar solo, which just isn’t true.
I've got a feeling this song will live on.
Guess what? He can play whatever he cares. He wrote the songs!
Rock away John Lennon ❤️
Man Alive. George is totally feeling the Vibe 🤟

Can you send me the drum track? I’m working on a version of it for my personal use
I have got a feeling is one of my many fave.
I have got a feelig is one of my faves.
I hear the clear difference between this mix and the one that came out last year. On this mix, some of John's vocals were out of time with the instrumentation, and there was some low frequency buzz remaining from John's demo version of the song. On the other hand, the 2023 mix of Now And Then is just perfect!
This is one of my favorites from George, but for me the tastiest bit of the whole song is Ringo’s superb and subtle drum intro. Thanks for posting this!

George's guitar is amazing!! I'd never noticed just how much he's throwing in on this track.
Paul's backing vocals sound so fragile.😢
Interesting. I'm surprised this is available! Ringo's drumming sure has that Jeff Lynne sound. I see George's point. This recording, although neat to hear, is inferior to Free as a Bird and Real Love. EDIT: Ah, this is a fan creation. Nice job!

Love to hear and see these isolated videos.
That is beautiful and you can hear why he’s legendary.
Beatles were fing unreal. Smart, witty, talented, kind, brilliant, etc...
Always loved the lead playing in this. Both George's in the first two parts and Lennon's rough outro stuff.

John was always the presses darling. Had anyone else worn a fur coat there would have been hell to pay. These songs showed it was the combination of all that made these songs shine.
Do you know what George was wearing?
He such a goofy looking dude... Such an awkward video..lol
He'll never let you down playing like this !!
Billy Preston's piano/organ thing is the star of this song, imho.

John looks so happy and really digging being the rhythm player behind Paul’s incredible vocals on this.
The famous rosewood tele.
I think the song would have been ten times better if they used older lower quality microphones to record the acoustic guitar and piano (the electric guitar slide solo is fine) as they just sound too clear and crisp compared to John’s home tape vocals, I also think that they should have just gotten rid of any use of reverb (the echo on the vocals and the piano) because it just doesn’t hit that dry minimalist Beatles feeling. I also wish they didn’t completely cut out the “I don’t wanna lose you” but But alas I still really like the song regardless and this has always been my favourites of the John Lennon home demos
I think the final released Now And Then works as it is since the isolation software pulled John's vocals out with pretty great quality, so I'm not sure lower quality recordings of the other instruments would have benefitted the mix. The Beatles were very grand at times especially in the later years, so they weren't necessarily dry minimalists. I do think if the song was worked on more in 1995 that the bridge might've been used as the piano in the solo section does reference John's vocal melody. Jeff Lynne's lyric sheet also has that part circled. But it would probably be too jarring for Paul to have solo vocals so it was completely cut and turned into the solo section.
@ the isolation software pulled John’s vocals out with great quality but it was still recorded on a shitty tape recorder, everything in the song sounds to crisp and perfect to my ears in comparison to John’s vocals. I feel the solo section was really good but would have been better after the lyrics themselves. As for Paul not singing jarring lyrics, I disagree, see Getting Better for instance
Oh I didn't mean the lyrics I meant Paul's voice itself is a little too gone to have sung all the missing lyrics in the bridge and it would've been very jarring for the old Paul voice to carry the section. As for the instruments recording them lofi would've been interesting, but I still don't think it would've been a massive improvement. Especially compared to the other reunion songs and how they were recorded.
@ ohhhh haha I thought you meant jarring as in the lyrics being a little bit on the edgy side. I’m not exactly suggesting a lofi sound (at least I think I’m not) but I feel if they recorded with gear similarly used in the 60s and 70s then the song would really feel a lot more glued together. But being fair there is only so much you can do with a demo
@@splitzerx570 Mics haven't really gotten extremely better since the 60s and 70s. In fact a lot of mics that were used in the 60s and 70s are still being used today as they are great mics overall even if they're older.
