This is some top notch isolation work! I assume it’s all just from the base album version? If I’m not mistaken RAM never received any atmos or 5.1 mixes so for just what’s on the record, this is really impressive
Thank you! Yeah RAM hasn't received an Atmos or 5.1 mix yet so deconstructing this one took a lot of trial and error. I'd been working on this one for a few months and couldn't get it right, but this is was probably the best I was gonna get it. I'll probably retry it again when probably Giles remixes RAM for atmos in the coming years or something like that.
@@isolatedstems yeah, hopefully a release like that comes around some time soon. There’s been times where i’ve worried that since Paul’s team tends to be a little less willing to touch the songs beyond a remaster, in comparison to the Beatles, Lennon and Harrison companies with their remixed super-deluxe sets, that this album won’t be properly revisited, but i have noticed that Giles’ atmos mixes tend to be quite sudden and treated pretty casually, so i wouldn’t be surprised if something like that drops in the next few years and is just kept on the down-low.
@@michaelrochester48 yeah, George Martin and Paul had a good chemistry when it came to getting a good orchestral section together, since Paul was essentially introduced to arranging by George when they did ‘Yesterday’.
WHY go through all the trouble when you or an editor shave time out of the rests to shorten your video. It probably wasn't the ultimate point of the video in the first place. As a drummer it drives me further mad to play along with in my head. Great and awesome video and I do appreciate this type of information. Thank you non the less.
For these deconstructing videos I don't see a point in keeping any 5+ seconds of silence since hearing the isolations is the main goal. I get that it might throw off timing, but in the end it doesn't affect the actual isolations themselves.
GREAT JOB, but. . ."Ram" was not recorded in one day. The album took months to record. If you meant to write "Uncle Albert/Admiral Halsey," then your one day recording date is still incorrect. According to several sites, including the Beatles Bible, the recording dates for this song were: Recorded: 5, 6 November; 6 December 1970; 27, 28 January; 1 February; 1, 7 April 1971
OK. McCartney's a gaddam genius. We've been extremely fortunate to have him around.
Incredible to hear this. Thanks so much for the time and effort spent stripping this apart. Love what you do on this channel! ✌🏼
One of my favourite McCartney tunes! Thank you very, very much!
19:28 Hugh
21:50 Paul
What Hugh is playing is beautiful. I wonder how much creative freedom Sir Paul granted him.
You should do long haired lady!
Maybe
@@isolatedstems Maybe? I’d be Amazed!

My favorite isolated section is the orchestra. That really made the song so memorable.

ПолМаккартни - гений.
My favorite part @12:25 😂
Joy thanks especially vox x
What guitar is Paul using in this song? Looks like a fender type of guitar? Nonetheless EXCELLENT ISOLATION, keep up the amazing work!!
the picture shows some sort of thunderbird from gibson
@@Jello_The2nd sounds like he’s using his casino
It's a left-handed "non-reverse" Gibson Firebird.
@@Bob12369 that’s in the photo but sounds like a casino on the song
@@Bob12369 oh yeah, my bad i didn't actually check whether i was reffering to the right one

Sorry I meant to say "Uncle Albert started it's recording on...." not Ram.
